| This is a revamp of my old image. I figured while I'm waiting around to install my new video card I'd take a few more good images with the old one. Obsidian takes a lot of memory and several need soooo much more so for now I'm keeping it simple. I liked my old Succubus but it needed updating and I wanted to play some on Photoshop...no speed painting (I don't have those skills) but some quick editing. |

| Hill dragons prefer the hill regions hence the name, Like all dragons they possess superior camouflage abilities. In combat they prefer to grab opponents and fly as high as possible letting their victim fall to its death. They can breathe a noxious gas of concentrated chlorine which even air filters and purifiers cannot screen out. They can bit with their ferocious teeth and rend even the toughest armor with their razor sharp talons. Like all dragons they are incredibly intelligent and may ally themselves with powerful creatures for mutual benefit. They are fiercely loyal if raised in a domestic setting and will happily allow themselves to be ridden. Unlike the fabled steed dragons however, they share no special bond with their riders. |

As the ship closes in on the vortex a tendril of energy lashes out and grabs hold of the warp rings on the aft section spinning the ship on its axis, violently lurching everyone and everything. I know from the Kryllian data tapes that we have to travel headlong into tehe eye of the vortex or the ship is gonna be ripped to shreds.
"Engineering this is the bridge what's happening to my ship?"
"The vortex is pulling at the warp rings and it's causing us to rotate into the eye!"
"Shut them down NOW! Helm go to maneuvering thrusters only"
"Aye aye!"
Immediately the ship begins to right itself so that we're back on course and headed directly into the center of the storm as it were.
Suddenly the ship begins to fill with a white light and my cybernetics eyes go haywire, everything electrical starts having a conniption and it makes for a bumpy ride. Computer panels short and sparks fly the ship shakes and shudders and anyone not sitting is hurled violently to the floor as the vibrations threaten to tear the ship apart completely. The ship begins falling apart from the inside as wiring falls from the ceiling as a metal tile nearly decapitates my navigator. A wave of terror washes over me as the realization that I may have just doomed us all floods my mind. Then as suddenly as it all started the ships is still and calmly floating through space. The bridge looks like hell and small fires have broken out across the ship.
"Ops Status report!"
The operations chief still in his chair remains motionless a large metal pipe nearly five feel long and 4 inches wide has pierced through his armor pinning him in place, killing him instantly. Another officer runs over to his station and quickly punches in station reports from across the ship.
"We have full power but our weapons and shields are off line, there are several fires all over the ship and crew are working to put those out. Hyperdrive is off line, Fold systems are down as is warp propulsion. Life support is good and we have sub-light engines functional. Casualty reports several crewmen injured and 5, er 6 dead."
"Make that 7"
Shadawar adds pulling a slumped over helmsman from his station. Apparently the panel didn't jus com close as I glance over to see a gaping wound in his neck.
"Fine get repairs underway, and a medical team up here." I tap the intercom button and call all available senior officers to the briefing room and once the last of them arrives we begin discussing how to proceed in looking for the lost Kryllian warship. According to our scans there is a habitable in this system that the ship could have made it too, and it only make sense to begin our search there. Sabrina informs me that our teleportation systems are completely shot and will need replacing as soon as we can get home assuming we can get home. Replication systems are similarly off line and we'll have to go to hard rations for the time being, and unless we can find somewhere to resupply our food stores we'll be out of food and water within a month. We can supplement using the systems on board my fighter and the shuttle so there's no immediate danger of running out of supplies any time soon. With the bridge cleared of debris and some makeshift repairs done I order the ship the nearest J type planet. The IGFW ranks J types as most similar to Earth but unfortunately the nearest planet capable of sustaining life is a type L which while livable is covered shore to shore in dense forest and jungle. A close scan reveals a crash site and a Kryllian Battleship. The ships markings and and working transponder reveal that it our wayward vessel, mostly intact but inoperable. I have everyone get ready to head planetside and meet me in the shuttle bay. The new shuttle is going to work today. Now while I have the capacity to evacuate small groups of up to 5 people at a time the shuttle doesn't have the capacity to transport the crew of over 1,000 expediently. Unless our telporters are repaired the evacuation could take a couple of days. I order a couple of squads down to the planet using my fighter and see if they can't salvage anything from the Kryllian wreckage that we might be able to retrofit to our ship. Sabrina is gonna earn her pay today.
I land the shuttle in a massive ruin not far from the crash site and we begin our scans there. Kryllians are reptilian and scanning for them proves to be difficult at best since this planet is teaming with reptilian life, some of which has decided to introduce itself. |

| Cervitaurs are deer-like centaurs with a humanoid torso attached where the neck of a deer would normally be. Like their bigger Equine cousins the Cervitaur are adept at hunting but are so much smaller that they themselves are often prey to larger predators like wolves and great cats. on some worlds they have developed technology to suit their needs. They have greater lung capacity than deer (having 2 pairs of lungs in each torso) and can thus run at top speed for much longer than normal deer. They have 5 stomachs although the first is for pre-digestion. they mate once per year and live in small tribes. Each tribe is led by one male who must prove his worth against other bucks in a contest of power each and every mating season with the victor winning the right to mate. It is possible for Cervitaurs to mate with other species though this is usually frowned upon. The offspring of such unions will typically have the lower torso of a cervitaur but the upper torso of the non Cervitaur parent. Such crossbreeds are shunned by other Cervitaurs. As a rule Cervitaurs are herbivares but some have been known to have an omnivore diet. |

| Panterra is one of my oldest and dearest characters. Created in a lab, and designed to battle extreme threats to national security, Panterra's genetic makeup includes several genes from large predatory cats. His armor is composed of a synthetic adamantine and mythril (not to be confused with adamantium) which are woven into a fine mesh. He uses a variety of gadgets and hardware to complete his missions. Paterra is the leader of the group P.R.I.D.E. . |

| Celestial Elves, unlike many other elves they have few ties with nature but still maintain strong magical powers, their cities are Gigantic Spires vast and impressive by any standards. Technology has been almost completely replaced with magic in every aspect of life, even the youngest Celestial elves have some magical ability and Celestial elves boast the greatest magic schools known. The Celesti Empire is one of the more vast empires spanning hundreds of worlds...some of which could not support life until being terra-formed by Ancient magics now long forgotten, or at the very least well guarded. |

| Kryillia Prime...the golden City of Traata is the capitol of Kryillia and called the golden city for it's towering golden spires. The city sits on the southern most coast of the continent of Ghaerise - The largest continent on the planet, and is home to a population of nearly 2 million Kryllians. Like many worlds Kryllia has much the same wildlife as Earth as is evidenced by the Dolphins seen here |

| Mountain Dragons are the largest of all dragons and are feared on every world on which they exist. At nearly 400 feet in length these mighty predators are incredibly intelligent and capable of leveling small settlements and outposts. Their tough hides are as durable as Mythril and are considered a non-conventional material and are thus practically unaffected by conventional weapons. These immense creatures breath fire like so many of their brethren with devastating effect. Their powerful teeth and claws are capable of mangling armored vehicles and their maw is large enough to swallow horses and other equines whole. On many worlds where they once thrived only skeletal remains can be found. Armies of Mages have been used to wipe out most of these creatures on many worlds, Mages being the one of the few creatures capable of bringing these creatures down |

| The Zzakizt are reclusive xenophobes that live on the outer rim of the Canis Major Galaxy. The first encounter with their species went horribly and erupted in a war that lasted 50 years and cost millions of lives. Currently the IGFW holds a tentative peace treaty and guards their borders against IGFW citizens restricting passage to their borders. It is interesting to note that they fully recovered their numbers after the war within 12 years. They have a hive mentality and a Hive queen, though there are several thousand sub-queens which they call Droza. They ahve a very complex social system a for the most part life is indestinguishable from most other worlds. There are celebrity Drones and warriors a well as Droza. When their queen reaches the last years of her life she gives birth to a single successor, this queen possesses all of the knowledge and experience of the queen and is essentially the same being. The current queen is ten generations old the equivalent of being nearly 1,00 years old. |

| The Arctic Dragon is a fearsome predator, it's dark scales and white fur make for a bright contrast against the snowy plains of the regions these great creatures call home. Their diet is primarily Sea lions and Orca but they have been known to attack Polar bears and other large mammals. They are capable of spewing forth a stream of liquid nitrogen that can instantly freeze even the most durable materials rendering them as brittle as fine crystal. Their body temperature remains at a constant 50 degrees below zero Fahrenheit. Although they are fierce predators they have shown a tendency to befriend Solarans and other sentient species protecting them from attacks by other predators. As one might suspect they are quite susceptible to warm temperatures and fire based attacks even temperatures about 40 degrees Fahrenheit can be lethal over a long duration. |

| Cloud dragons are revered in much the same way as Earth Dolphins and for similar reasons. They have what can only be described as a kind heart and are helpful to creatures who are lost or in distress. They have been known to defend helpless victims from other dragons but have only done so for sentient beings. They can be found quite often with riders as they bond quickly and also easy to train. They will not serve cruel masters which has lead many Arcano-biologists to believe that they may be aligned to the forces of good though they are at a loss for how such a thing could be. Cloud dragons are among the largest and most powerful of the dragon species growing as large as 120 feet in length, though more than half of that is tail and neck. Like all dragons the possess a breath weapon however theirs is a cloud of gas that is electrically charged the gas holds it's cohesion well enough to be used at a distance of 400 feet while still retaining its potency. Because of their helpful nature they have earned the nickname "Luck Dragon". |

| Eants are the forest guardians of old and frequent the same worlds as Sylvan elves.though highly intelligent they keep only their own council and rarely interfere in the affairs of mortals. They appear much as large humanoid trees and within the five galaxies they are not unique as many sentient plants abound on multiple worlds. Though the Eants are thought to be the eldest of such species. They are not a space-faring species and NEVER leave their established home worlds...though a few have been recorded as having migrated via the occasional adventurers spacecraft. |

| Giant worms can be found on numerous planets and while incredibly dangerous they are only found in desert regions. They attack anything that moves on the surface above and are nearly invulnerable to all but the heaviest weapons. Not much is known about their habits or reproduction or even their life spans though some have been noted by scars as being thousands of years old. World recorded as being populated with Giant Worms are marked with hazard buoys and IGFW colonists are discouraged from establishing outposts on such worlds. |

In an ages old tradition of comic companies stealing from each other, I introduce the newest addition to my universe (and a complete ripoff of a much more famous Ble clad hero with a red cape)....SUPERION!!!
Powers include: Invulnerability (Type 1), Hurricane breath, Super-speed (Land based), Super-speed (Flight), Energy blast (Heat via eyes), Vision. X-ray, Enhanced Senses (All), Enhanced Reflexes (Super-speed control), Super Strength (Cosmic category 3), Telekinesis (Limitation: Must be in physical contact allows him to lift massive objects without them crumbling apart), Molecular regeneration\Healing (even when severely injured Superion can heal himself rapidly by recharging in photonic or nuclear radiation.
Vulnerabilities/Weaknesses:
Nuclear Battery (Superion must replenish his power in either nuclear or photon radiation (typically being outside on a sunny keeps him well charged)
Magic and magical weapons of any kind including weapons with something as simple as a Light spell cast upon them.
Torbernite a radioactive, green mineral, found in uranium-bearing deposits is far more lethal to Superion than it is to most other life. Simply being in the same room with the gasses it produces weakens him instantly, while being within a few feet of it will render him unconscious, and is fatal to him with hours of exposure. It is interesting to note that he has no vulnerability to the Uranium that produces Torbernite.
Overcharge: Superion can enter a nuclear reactor or fly high into orbit and absorb greater amounts of energy albeit temporarily. During this overcharge he is completely invulnerable to physical injury (even from magic) and all of his powers double. The overcharge dissipates quickly however lasting only about 5 minutes.
Superion has Solaran parents and while it is known that he is not a GenAb, His planet of origin is as yet undiscovered.
Allies: Infinity-man who he considers a kindred spirit.

Now before anyone asks Superion is actually an analog of not just the Blue guy but also the ripoff by marvel, aka the guy in red and yellow. I like to have some originality but this guy...not so much LOL. I did take aspects from both characters and cram them together.

| The Rayal are a a reptilian species from the Raya system in the Andromeda Galaxy. They are roughly the same size as Solarans though they tend to be rather slender. Their technology is roughly the equivalent of the Intergalactic average and their society is comparable to Earth in most respects. There is little that is outstanding about Rayal save for the fact that they are nearly immune to most magical effects/spells to roughly 80 percent. As a result they have little interest in magic although they have studies Psionics in depth.The Raya System is a member of the IGFW in good standing and participated in the Millennium Wars for the IGFW. |

| The Drachna or Plural Drachnai, are a race of felines about the same size as the average human. However, they do have one significant dilemma, they emit low doses of radiation constantly. Exposure to this radiation is lethal after a few hours of exposure to any species not immune to radiation. The IGFW and the Drachna Council have passed laws requiring the use of protective suits when interacting with alien species. Their world is lush with vibrant blue plants due to high levels of Anthocyanin in nearly every species of plant-life on the planet. The plants themselves are immune to the effects of radiation and can grown in almost any environment. Drachna society is much like that of earth though there are fewer alien species which can survive in their harsh irradiated atmosphere. |

| The Namied are a race of aquatic semi-humanoids that most would consider mermaids/men they are actually metamorphic creatures who can live as easily above water as they do beneath it. The posses technology that easily adapted to either atmosphere which has made them front runners in the bid to expand and settle space. They are one of the few species that can survive in planets composed primarily of water or standard type-7 worlds (those that are fit for most humanoid life). They have the capability to shed their tails on land (a process which is nearly instantaneous) and regrow it again underwater. The act of which is a conscious decision but requires no concentration to maintain once complete. Their technology is considered to be at the galactic standard though they do excel where underwater exploration and defense are concerned. |

In the aftermath of the Sathari Empire/Rebellion wars Anihilus the Traitor assumes his rightful place on the throne of the empire. Now as Emperor he can bring peace to the Sathari Galaxy, after 1,000 years of oppression under his father's reign. His first official proclamation: Obsidian Mask is made his High Justiciar as his reward for his pivotal role in overthrowing his father and for his unyielding loyalty, and for his sacrifice at the hands of Emperor Zakan himself.
For those making comparisons yes there is a lot of similarities between Star Wars'empire and the Sathari Empire. This is intentional though there are many differences. The analogue for Anakin remains essentially the same only he becomes Emperor, his wife does not die and in fact tries to save him from his dark side. Analaeus and Malice are the emperor's twin children and only Malice remains loyal to the empire after Analaeus' powers reach their full potential and open his eyes to the evil of his father and the empire's tyranny. The two worlds are similar but I mixed it up a little bit. |

After a brief recovery period and some training to get used to my new arm, I put my connections to work and in no time I have a lead on a small colony called New Atlantis an oceanic world with almost no landmasses. I am greeted by a very large human who calls himself Conan, I'm not here to dispute whether or not he's the real guy but he looks and acts the part. Standing next to him is of all things a Namean Elf (Namean elves are like Luminesti, they'll live forever but they have some serious quirks like all Namae." As I'm talking to the burly giant I can't help but feel like a pork chop as the elf stares me down like a hungry man does a meal.
"My interest Conan is in a man who calls himself Nechronos, thus far he has made several attempts on my life."
"Obsidan Mask, you could be none other...your reputation as a hero precedes you as does your stature HA!. I have heard of this man you seek a Wizard by all accounts, he was headed To the Hadean galaxy and I needn't tell you that anyone going there has only foul deeds in mind."
Yuck it up barbarian, short jokes...a guy pretending to be Conan just made a short joke at my expense...I'm pretty sure he has no clue that I could punch him through the nearest building but it's all good...enjoy the chuckle asshole.
"Thank you Conan, I'll head there immediately."
"Farewell and Crom guide you."
I turn to head for my ship when the elf interjects...
"Wait stranger, You will be in need of a guide. I know the Hadean systems like no one else. I could be persuaded to come with you as your...guide...for a price"
I think I've just been upgraded to t-bone. She talks like a thief...I don't need a thief. Still if she can cut my search time down and help me to avoid some run ins with those psychotic Hadeans...
"Mae govannen. Mani naa lle umien? Amin sinta lle? (Well met . What is your name? Do I know you?)
Luminesti Elvish is a common language among most elves though many have their own dialects they can usually understand our general meaning. Namaean elves are no different as her answer demonstrates.
"Saesa omentien lle. Amin Zaeerah Alagos, ann amin naa lle nai amin sinta thaliolle e dagor lle naa belegohtar, Amin naa cam'wethrin ( A pleasure to meet you. I am Zaeerah Stormwind, and I am yours to command. I know your strength in battle you are a mighty warrior. I am a skilled thief.)
"Okay thief, what we'll see how much you know of Hadeans and their galaxy soon enough."
"Manka lle merna Heru en amin." (As you wish my lord.)
That's tad formal, but what the hell at least she's respectful, though I still feel like a pork chop, er steak...whatever. Moonshadow's gonna love this...

Side note: Up to this point I have not featured Obsidian speaking elvish but I thought this would be a good time to demonstrate that he could. Don't ask what I had to go through to find Tolkien's elven language.

Steed Dragons (which come in a wide variety of colors running the entire rainbow) are native to only one planet in the five galaxies Tamoril 4, and are thus highly sought after by collectors of rare species. However, they are unlike most dragons in many respects, for instance: All Steed Dragons breath fire regardless of color, they also have a need to bond with a rider. This last part is very important because without a rider a Steed Dragon will turn rogue attacking anyone unfortunate enough to cross it's path, though no rogues have been reported for hundreds of years. Draco-zoologists have speculated that it is most like magical tampering with the native species and selective breeding which has made these unique creatures they way they. When bonded to a rider (of which the dragon could have several in one lifetime but not more than one at any given time) the dragon confers many magical powers and abilities, all available to the rider even when separated by hundreds of miles. Those abilities are the same no matter the rider and are as follows: Draconic senses (sight, Hearing, Smell) Various spells (nature related), Sensory bond (the ability to see through the eyes of the dragon and hear what it hears), Dragon Heart (the ability to know the general well being of the dragon).
Furthermore the dragon itself possesses a number of abilities beyond those of other dragons which are as follows: Healing flames (a form of fiery breath that heals rather than harms), Rider bond (A form of telepathy which allows the Dragon to communicate with the rider and the rider alone although it works well with other Telepaths), Rapid growth (within 30 days of hatching Steed Dragons reach full maturity), Soul Link ( when bonded with a rider the Steed Dragon will share the rider's faith, beliefs outlook, and behavior making them the perfect companion the more good or evil the rider the more good or evil the dragon. The bond has the negative side effect of being very harmful to the dragon should the rider be killed violently, in which case the shock could overwhelm the dragon and cause it to dies as well. the last and probably most sought after ability is called Dragonsfire this ability extends the life of the rider by hundreds of years and some speculate it may extend it by thousands should a rider avoid any misfortune. This last ability is why the eggs of these creatures are so desperately sought after and is also the reason their planet remains locked in turmoil and has yet to evolve beyond it's medieval era. The planet they reside on however is thankfully under the close watchful eye of the IGFW and no dragons are permitted to be removed from the planet without documentation from the local rulers (which by the way is the only way to acquire one). Steed dragons are not born, they are bread in captivity and no free dragons of any kind roam the continents. It is considered an immense honor to be granted a Steed Dragon and few outsiders have ever had the privilege or left the planet after receiving one, by their own choice. |
