The Astro Boy animated television series premiered on Fuji TV on New Year's Day, 1963,
and is the first popular animated Japanese television series that embodied the aesthetic that later became familiar worldwide as anime.
It lasted for four seasons, with a total of 193 episodes, the final episode presented on New Year's Eve 1966.
At its height it was watched by 40% of the Japanese population who had access to a TV.

This time around, I thought I'd show you an interior splash page from my upcoming PANDORA'S BLOGS series from Red Giant Entertainment -- finally scheduled for a 2017 release.
This page is from issue #3 -- when Pandora's break-in to the medical center (looking for certain paperwork) is discovered -- by a weapon-wielding werewolf! (Yup.)

Zenescope contacted me to draw the exclusive "secret" Retailer variant cover to OZ: REIGN OF THE WITCH QUEEN #6.
After I drew several layouts, all a variation of Dorothy on the Yellow Brick Road to OZ on a windy day, they chose this design.

Concept: Unlikely Amalgams, in this case Barnell Bohusk (Beak) of Marvel's New Mutants, and my favorite DC hero: Superman
Body base is a simple Evo template based on those made by Kryptcom of Superbuddies.net
The head is based on a profile of Beak II from 'Here Comes Tomorrow', and the Shield is simply a modified Pentagram with a traced bold Antiqua Sans Serif 'B' |

So I went looking for more pics and found out that what I was looking at was a crossover between Valiant and Dark Horse. Oh well, so no second entry. But I was still wanting to draw this guy so here he is. And yes I know the front hand isn't as dark as the rest. It was on purpose.
