*OK here is the colored version.
This is my entry into the Extreme Heromorph Makeover 2. I will update this with a colored version in a couple days but I wanted to go ahead and get it on here. I won't specify who its based on. Hopefully its obvious. Especially with the clue in the title. |

| Experimentation...may not be spelled right. VagabondX Sci-fi 2007/11/19 23:01 2587 3
Wanted to try some things in photoshop. Don't look so much at the drawing as the lighting effects. Only spent around 10 minutes actually drawing but worked for almost 2 hours coloring and trying to do cool energy/light stuff. |

| Failed experiment. VagabondX Marvel Comics 2008/9/15 21:57 2646 6
Did this at work today while sitting in my car. I borrowed some sharpies from work to do it. Then when I got home I used a white gel pen on it. Its done on a piece of brown cardboard. I know its hard to see any details and it is confusing. Plus the pose is awkward. I was really just doing it to see what it would look like to use markers and the white pen on a brown surface.
The character is an old Marvel hero who was once called Miss Fury. Although I redesigned her outfit from back then. |

| Fairy tails VagabondX Fantasy 2006/7/21 14:59 2492 4
I think this would make a great t-shirt. If its too racy for the regular gallery I trust the wise and powerful moderators will move it to the appropriate one. |

| Family Portrait VagabondX Other Comics 2008/5/7 0:05 2374 8
This sad effort is a shot of The Tick and his children. Yes, you heard me, the Tick has children. Or sort of has children. See, I bought an old Tick comic in which our hero apparently got hit by a Cloning ray which produced four other 'Ticks'. The Tick responded to this by assuming he was a mother and hilarity ensued. From left to right we have:
Quasi-Tick Proto-Tick(brown guy) THE Tick Dupli-Tick Primi-Tick
Oddly enough, I had read once that Ben Edlund's first design of The Tick had him brown and furry so I can only assume the Proto-Tick guy is the first incarnation that never made it to the actual comic. At least until the cloning ray. |

| Faren VagabondX Original Characters 2007/8/2 22:25 2088 3
One of my sisters friends is almost as big a comic book fan as I am and she wanted me to do a superhero version of him. He is native american so she suggested that style of costume and he liked the idea. I asked him what three colors and he suggested blue red and white. Here's the final product. I like how it turned out. |
|
| Father and Son VagabondX Marvel Comics 2008/8/18 23:43 2385 3
I was reading Marvel Team-up #64 today in which Spiderman teams up with The Daughters of the Dragon to defend Iron Fist from Davos aka The Steel Serpent. Davos is another guy from K'un Lun or however its spelled and is an old enemy of Iron Fist's. Davos' father is Lei Kung The Thunderer who trained Iron Fist.
I can't say for sure why but I've always liked The Thunderer's look. Not to mention Steel Serpent and Iron Fist. Part of it may be that these particular issues were done by John Byrne early in his career and I've always been a big fan of his work.
Anyway, I was reading the comic and got the urge to do a quick drawing of Lei Kung and son. The drawings themselves were done too quickly(not counting the colors) which is why Lei Kung looks strange. |

This is an old drawing that I thought people on here might enjoy. |

| Frivolous Christmas nonsense. VagabondX Original Characters 2007/11/27 21:58 2148 4
I call it "Captain Christmas vs the malevolent menace of HUMBUG!" |
|
| Funnier in my head. VagabondX Marvel Comics 2007/2/18 23:08 1894 1
Saw the Ghost Rider movie this weekend and thought this was a funny idea. I realize its not real clever or original but hey, nobody's perfect. I liked the movie alot by the way. I screwed up on Spideys shading. Wasn't until I started coloring it that I realized the shadows would be on the opposite side as GR since he's the obvious light source. |
|
| Galactus VagabondX Marvel Comics 2007/4/11 22:59 2001 3
This is the original Galactus look from FF #49. Ok, its not exact in every detail but noone can recreate Kirby's designs perfectly. Am I the only one who didn't know that Galactus's first costume had no pants? |
|
| Gargoyle VagabondX Marvel Comics 2008/12/5 23:20 2836 7
I always liked the look of this guy but I wanted to sort of redesign his shape. If that makes any sense. I like how it turned out. Even if it is too similar to DC's Demon. |
|
| Generic D&D type story. VagabondX Fantasy 2006/9/21 23:13 2608 5
Friend of mine fancies himself a writer and asked me to illustrate a short little comic for him. Some parts of this I'm really happy with and others...not so much. P.S. Sorry its so small, I need to rescan it. |
|
| Ghost Rider/Phantom Rider VagabondX Marvel Comics 2006/9/27 0:35 2591 4
The original Ghost Rider who's name was changed to Phantom Rider when Marvel introduced the Johnny Blaze version. I won't try to offer any excuses for the flaws but I will offer a reason. Not only did I make the mistake of rushing this but I rushed it at 2 in the morning. I just can't seem to take my time anymore. Its like I can't wait to see what the finished product will look like so I hurry everything. |
|
| Gloom redesign VagabondX Original Characters 2007/2/19 22:51 1980 3
Ok, I admit to really hating that last picture I did of Dr. Gloom. The hood made him look way too much like Cobra Commander, actually the whole outfit did that now that I think about it. So I came up with this new design for him. I liked the idea of a featureless mask of some kind. People with no faces have always seemed creepy to me and I sort of want that vibe for him. The mask is basically a helmet made of some kind of material like a two way mirror but more durable. The problem I encountered there is that his breath would fog up the inside of it so I added the wire mesh covered hole near the bottom for him to breath out of. Plus I think it would be a cool image to see his breath coming out of there if he's in cold surroundings. Anyway, I like this design alot better than the last one. |

| Go ask Alice... VagabondX TV and Movies 2008/1/13 17:31 2151 10
Recently saw Resident Evil 3 for the first time. I've been impressed in each movie with Jivovich's work as an action star and I loved the outfit they gave her in Extinction. And I probably misspelled her name. Forgive me Milla. Or Mila. Or however you spell it. |
|
| Go Go Gadget Generation Gap! VagabondX TV and Movies 2006/9/2 23:06 2604 2
Recently I wondered what Penny would have been like as she grew up. Which made me think of how difficult it would have been for she and Gadget to relate. |
|
| Golden age Lady Heromorph VagabondX Sci-fi 2006/7/14 17:38 3389 14
I wanted to get this in before the week was up and I wasn't sure when that is. Ok, this is the color version so I hope people like it better. |
|
| Green Hornet and Kato VagabondX Other Comics 2006/7/23 19:42 2452 7
I enjoyed the short lived 60's show and I can't wait to see what they do with the characters in the rumored movie. Although I'm worried about it also. |
|
| Green Hornette VagabondX TV and Movies 2008/5/11 18:48 2537 3
Not a great drawing or idea but I don't have much of either anymore. I think there have been a couple female Green Hornets in the comic but this is my take on it anyway. Tried using my old style of shading with the dodge and burn tools. Oh well... |
|
| Guardian Angel VagabondX Original Characters 2006/7/31 22:24 2171 3
Most, if not all, of you will recognize this pose and outfit as the one from my recent Daredevil pics. I really liked the costume on DD so I thought I would do an original character with it. I'm not good at thinking of characters on demand so I copped out and just went with sort of an exact opposite of DD. Which would be some kind of angel right? So, the Guardian Angel was born. Ok, so he's no Batman. I think he looks cool. |
|
| Guardian or Golden Guardian or something like that. VagabondX DC Comics 2007/4/9 21:22 2147 2
I've always been fond of the Guardian/Golden Guardian character from DC comics. This pic is sort of an amalgam of several incarnations I've seen of him. |
|
| Guess what DVD I just bought. VagabondX TV and Movies 2007/8/18 12:50 1986 5
I just bought the new dvd of that old Flash Gordon movie from 1980 and had to do a drawing of Ming from a photo on the inside cover. |
|
| Guns blazin' VagabondX TV and Movies 2008/2/5 18:25 2087 3
It was suggested to me after my buff Spirit drawing that I do one of the Lone Ranger so I gave it a shot. Couldn't have him without Tonto though. Stayed mostly with the original costume but made them a little more muscular. |
|
| Halloween silliness. VagabondX Original Characters 2008/10/10 21:42 2540 7
I did this pic last Halloween - http://heromorph.com/heromorph2/modules/myalbum2/photo.php?lid=5068 - and was thinking about how I never see jill-o-lanterns. So this was born.
Besides which, that last guy looked kind of sad so I thought he might hit it off with Jill here.
I know, this is silly. And there is probably too much cleavage...oh wait, I forgot which site I'm on. Never mind. |

| Hammer demonstration VagabondX Original Characters 2006/11/15 22:38 1832 2
This is to illustrate how 'The Christian's hammer works. Its mystical properties allow it to pass harmlessly through living things but impact upon spiritual beings. In this shot, we see our hero literally knocking the demon out of this guy which is how he usually deals with criminals. We also see an indication of 'The Christian's invulnerability as the crook's bullet bounces off his chest. He does feel the pain of the impact it just won't pierce his skin or break bones. He's also able to see spiritual presences. I don't know if this is due to the goggles he wears or an additional power. |

| Happy Annual Turkey Holocaust Day! VagabondX Fantasy 2006/11/1 22:40 2623 7
Just a (hopefully)funny idea for Thanksgiving. |
|
| Happy Halloween VagabondX DC Comics 2006/10/21 17:38 2931 10
Ok I won't deny it. This is just blatant T&A. Poorly done but still... |
|
| Happy Halloween 07 VagabondX Fantasy 2007/10/28 22:45 2348 2
I really like Halloween. So much that I felt compelled to do a Halloween picture even though I hadn't had a good idea for one. So, I ended up forcing this one out and as usual, something that had great possibilities ends up much less than it could have and should have been. But here it is anyway. Happy Halloween everyone. |
|
| Hellcat week VagabondX Marvel Comics 2006/9/12 22:56 2456 4
I tried to make it look as if she's doing one of those catlike stretches. The logo may be too much I dunno. |
