| Dragoness MechMan 2005/11/23 16:29 4990 15
I haven't seen any manips of this character, so, here is my interpretation of what Dragoness might look like. I didn't really like her helmet, and I am not sure who the model is either. |

| Spider-Woman 1 VoltAmpere 2005/9/20 1:31 5008 12
Erin Angel as the 1st Spiderwoman. I mainly did this manip for three reasons: 1) wanted to try brighter red and yellow colors as suggested by several artists (comments from my Phoenix manips) 2) wanted to try if the pillow emboss filter was any good, so I added spider legs to her costume to make full use of the emboss filter... 3) i needed to relax after that hell of a board exam... |

| Avengers Freshmutt 2004/8/6 17:37 5010 7
My first group shot. I made this in 2002.
I think the Avengers would make a great movie or TV series. Here's my casting:
Iron Man is a Horizon model (imagine Dylan McDermott inside); Wasp is Christina Ricci; Scarlet Witch is Paulina Porizkova; Captain America is Casper Van Dien; and She-Hulk is Gabrielle Reece.
Kang on the monitor is from Avengers 469 by Kieron Dwyer. |

| Invisible Woman -- Fading Away thanatos 2004/9/27 14:42 5012 10
I heard about the FF movie, and needed something to give me hope . . . so here's sue. And if u ask me (which you do!) the fact that HER power is to turn invisible -- is a crying shame. Till next time . . . |

| "Twilight" - Thandie Newton as Nocturne Angelophile 2004/2/13 4:07 5013 4
Nocturne, the alternate reality daughter of Nightcrawler and the Scarlet Witch from the Exiles comic was a character I felt would be challenging as a photomanip. And, to be honest, it was inspired by a photo of Jolene Balock in subdued lighting from Maxim. The pic seemed to suit so well I was inspired to produce this photomanip.
The angles have all been changed to allow Nocturne to be clinging to the rockface rather than sprawled on the floor. Colourations were changed in Photoshop as per usual. All in all she's ended up looking rather like her Granny Mystique which is no bad thing. |

First off, let me start by thanking Wolverine1607 for being such a great instructor. I couldn't have done anything worth looking @ w/o his help. Well, its' been a while since I've posted anything. In the spirit of all of the Spiderman hype, I too thought I might as well, toss in my Spider [wo]man manip. I hope you like it. I know there are a few adjustments that could be made -- like the webbing. But I tried to get it done as quickly as possible. I've got a party to go 2 tonite. Please leave critique. |

| Three Jeans to Choose From.... Kallisti 2004/8/3 16:07 5052 11
Here's another idea i've been kicking around for a while... these are my favorite three of all of Jean Grey's numerous costumes. I found this model with lots of similar poses, all the same size, and decided to give this a shot. Pictured are (left to right): Dark Phoenix, original Marvel Girl, and Jean's X-Factor costume. Enjoy! |

| Namorita matrixblur 2004/7/11 0:40 5064 12
While searching base models for a project, I came across this pic, and thought it would make a good Namorita. It had a perfect background and the netting already wrapped around her. I thought this would make things simpler. I was wrong. Easier to just mask out the nude figure and go from there. Instead I spent most of my time trying to pull her body out from all those little holes in the net! AAAUUUGGH! (Also felt it was time to switch my old "ETD" logo for my new "Matrixblur Bolt")

| Phoenix Gouge 2003/9/3 17:26 5066 4
Just a little tired of the more current costumes. I've never done the clasic phoenix outfit and it's my fav. Soooo many variations though. I went with the low collar no black on the neck look. I almost had her wreathed in flame but went for the moonscape backround I had handy instead. |

| "EX"-FACTOR. c2f-hm Crossover by Kevincal & matrixblur matrixblur 2004/10/18 1:46 5075 13
Much recognition must go to my co-creator as he did most of the work. It was Kevincal's idea to use a duel similarity with the characters' and the models' relationships, to represent our take on the competition's theme. I jumped at the chance to do Polaris, she was a lot of fun. Then I saw his Havok and was blown away. I learned a lot from this exercise; it was quite advantagous to be able to bounce ideas back and forth. Kevs a great artist and a lot of fun to work with. Sign us up for the next one!
Kevincal wrote: Working with matrixblur was awesome cause he had lots of great ideas and he is freakin' amazing on armor - can you imagine a matrixblur Ironman (or Ironmaiden?) Anyways, we bounced around a bunch of ideas and finally settled on Tom and Nicole as Havok and Polaris. We did some homework and came back with our favorite costumes for both characters. Since they were from different eras, we decided to explain away the difference by pointing out the ghosts of past relationships still haunt Havok to this day. That, or the fact that Polaris is nuttier than a squirrel orgy in April and forgot which costume to put on :D
Re: Havok, I picked this version of the costume because I liked the way the energy effects looked and thought it'd be fun to try and duplicate. Building the visor, chest disc, and armor probably took the longest but then what proved to be equally challenging was making the hands look interesting since they were just dark shapes upon a dark shape. I settled on two-tone gloves that I ended up really liking in the end. |

| Queen Medusa DarqueImages 2004/2/13 23:53 5099 7
Alright! Finally I have a manip to post! Took a total of 5 days to do this ( wasn't easy between work, the kids, and the wife) and finally I just got tiredof staing at it. Turned out pretty good, all things considered. The hair needs some work, but that was proving to be a serious painin the you know what, backgound could've been better, foregorund too (or the ground rather). O.k. pick it apart now guys. |

| Dazzler: The Movie Freshmutt 2003/11/1 8:10 5109 5
"I'm not a movie poster, not yet a cover replica." Dazzler is Britney Spears from the Live in Las Vegas poster. Enchantress is Christina Aguilera. Spider-man is Tobey (maybe) from the movie. Iron Man is the Horizon model. Nightcrawler is Alan Cumming, who was in X2. The design is based on Dazzler #1's cover. |

| "Explosive!" Kylie Bax as Binary BikerBot 2004/6/4 6:12 5109 9
1st repost of this. Here's hoping there won't be a second...
This was created as a response to Optical's call for me to use a background. Exponentially more work when using a background, but I learned a lot. This one was almost done, then it sat for weeks. Why is the last 10% of a Manip always the most difficult? *G!* |

| Psylocke Desktop Wolverine1607 2005/10/24 15:53 5112 8
When I make these I like to make them friendly to my desktop on my pc, so they can be used as desktops. As well I noticed a couple of comments to my manip of supergirl, if anyone would like a copy of these I save them for mainly myself but I would be more than happy to email one to anyone. Just take a look and let me know on this one! Thanks |

this is my latest as of 2/28/04. tried to do her cape, but haven't mastered material folds yet. her metal accents came out nice, though. I like doing the more obscure heroines, but finding pics is difficult. |
