In this quick little drawing of mine, The Tick conquers the high seas of The City while Arthur regrets eating lunch! I'd love to see this colored, so if anyone would like to color this one, let me know!

| The Maxx DarqueImages 2007/3/28 20:43 2093 4
I was over at a friends house last night having a drawing session and started to think about the books I used to read...... next thing that happened, I was drawing the Maxx. Inked it this morning, colored in Photoshop, created his little perch in Photoshop too. The background is something I airbrushed up while practicing making clouds. |

| Lady HM's challenge number 5: Vampi circa 1998 by DarqueImages flinshady 2007/4/4 8:05 2967 9
O.k I coloured this like I said I would, It took me a best part of a day (Groan!) I went for the smooth anime Cel style, Gonna do a reander version too. What took the time was cleaning up the lines cause I'm seriously demented when it comes to smooth lines, ended up with a vector style drawing would have been quicker to do in illustrator. Hope u like.
update:O.k here I am again (argghh!) Third time lucky. The original background was much better,it took ages then photoshop crashed, THIS IS JUST A TRIBUTE! Enjoy.(or not)

| Hellboy '05: markers KER1 2007/4/24 6:46 2497 6
Well I originally did this piece back in '05 in my black book in markers, and had the inks scanned before I went to color it. So the other piece you've seen up here was the DIGITAL version of this piece which I was able to get the nice stone texture in the Hand o' doom . . . . but as I've said before, I love just gettin' in there and usin' the markers, so I finally got around to scanning and posting it! . . . . And of course the explanation behind the Mignola signature is: I went to this thing that year called "A night with Mike Mignola" at Parsons School of design in NYC, he was a nice guy and really easy to talk to and he thought my version of his character was "cool" as well!!! . . . . | HELLBOY: Hot stuff! KER1 2007/6/23 6:36 2375 4
I did this a couple years back in my "blackbook", I'd started a new one up because I felt "they" weren't givin' me enough arttistic freedom at my job, so the blackbook would keep me loose and allow me to do whatever I wanted . . . . of course this is my WAY graff styled Hellboy! What I like the most about Graff is that there are NO rules, it is such an abstract art form that you can do no wrong! |

| WHAT THE F#%K! by KER1 KER1 2007/7/13 10:58 2614 6
Teotihuac?n is an Aztec site of great importance not far from Mexico City. The Aztecs believed the gods created the universe here, and began construction on the magnificent temple complex around 100 BC. . . . Today many tourists frequent this amazing site but recently there have been many reports of tourists mysteriously vanishing, local authorities have had no luck in figuring out the strange goings on, so the matter had been turned over to The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.
Of course The Bureau just assumed that tourists were wandering off and getting lost in some of the Labrynthine tunnels at Teotihuac?n, but just to be safe they sent Hellboy to check things out . . . . .

Artist's note: I figured since Hellboy is always off somewhere investigating some craziness in any part of the world, the Aliens in the Aztec pyramids would tie in nicely. . . . I also figured "who would be better to deal with the acid blood when he blasts them in the face with his piece than Hellboy?"
*I did an earlier version of this, but I wasn't completely happy with it, so I went and got some reference on the actual Aztec temple and reworked it!

Couldn't resist trying my hand at a pic of the Crow. I left out the bird because I REALLY don't like drawing animals; still, I think it's fairly safe to say that no one would mind 'eating Crow', if she were the main coarse. |

| Hellboy in Red LordKuyohashi 2007/9/5 22:08 2288 8
Just bought 'Sword fo Storms' last week. It's pretty good, nice action, loads of Japanese demons and such. I highly recommend it.
Moving right along, whee! It's more minimalism. |

| KROENEN 2.0 . . . . by KER1 KER1 2007/9/11 7:53 1940 4
I did an earlier version of Kroenen in colored pencils that was much more realistic, this one I wanted to capture his look as seen in the comics more and wanted to use as little detail as possible in my graff/toon style . . . This has got to be one of my all time favorite villains!
Medium: Black sharpie, 3 colored pencils |

| Naga Sadow DAGhoul 2007/9/15 13:01 2157 1
Naga Sadow was the Sith Lord who built the temples on Yavin IV. His race is Sith (hence the evil name Sith for those who are selfish with the Force). But now he's back, cloned and ready to claim the universe as his own. |

I changed the symbol on his chest from the Ichthus fish to another old Christian symbol called the Ichthus Wheel. |

| The Cardinal VagabondX 2007/12/12 22:14 1920 4
This is The Cardinal created by K.J. Kolka. Its the longest running Christian comic ever. Started back in the late 70's from what I hear. I don't have much first hand knowledge of it but I'm impressed that its been around so long.
Although, the fact that its been around so long and I had never heard of it may speak for itself.:) |
