| Here is part 7. It looks like Wonder Woman won the fight, but what's that tentacles behind her. The fight goes on. I was trying to darken the skin because the light source is coming from the back. It just ended up with them looking like they have a tan. I was also trying to add smoke in the front but it was messing up the perspective. I HOPE THIS IS NOT SHOWING TO MUCH SKIN AND SO NEEDS TO BE IN THE ADULT SECTION. IF IT IS, LET ME KNOW. |

*As those that have been following my Vee comic in the HM Comic Books know, I inadvertently created a new heroine from the plot, Miss V. In order to continue the story, the villainess's name "Harley Quinn" will have to be dumped and replaced, as it is copyright DC Comics. As April, she has already demonstrated that she is as dangerous as she is funny as she is beautiful. Despite keeping the "broad" in broad farce she is extremely dangerous and a deadly adversary of Miss V. |

Colorized version of the sketch posted in the HFC. A scene from April's performance at the world famous Charlie Horse Saloon, in which she appeared for two nights only.
The kitschy set was done in the late Looney Tunes fashion, where the colors are off register from the objects. Mysteriously, it wasn't fire retardant, which later caused the Charlie Horse cabaret to burn to the ground.

1. Promo shot for a new television show tentatively titled either "At Home With April" or more simply "The April Fewells Show". The new show was to be based on Ms. Fewells stage sketch comedy-variety, and featuring her wacky house pets. Only one episode was taped without incident, then production shut down indefinitely. A side note: In one of the adjoining TV studios where the evening news was broadcast, a popular investigative crime reporter died of mysterious circumstances.
April is seen here again as a brunette.
2. In her segment "Mouse in the House", the ever-inventive April has a ruse to eradicate a pesky, refrigerator raiding rodent by donning a catsuit. Lots of bogus canned laffter, thrills and chills as cold things get poured down her open front.

My design for a open/closed sign for my work, Hell Pizza, since people can't read the hours on the door or see all the lights are on or even see us walking around the store. This is the open side, the closed side would have her with her wings closed, get it, open closed. This was meant to just a test of how to draw the wings but like I always do I got carried away. Tried to give her bit of an emo/goth look with her make up and she was going to have a Hell logo for a necklace but was a pain in the arse to draw so went with something else.
Sorry for crap upload, tried scanning but being that its on three bits of paper I couldn't scan it properly

I'm back! This second posting should introduce you all to the world(s) of my character -- BANZAI GIRL. Y'see, in "real life," my character is a college schoolgirl, whose life has made a left turn into weird. Not only do I have these bizarre dreams that I'm either a Futuristic Freedom Fighter or a Princess Jinky...
...but I also find myself battling classic Filipino monsters of myth!
In this illustration, this is all three versions of my character -- Princess Jinky; Banzai Girl; and Freedom Fighter Jinky.
Here's how we created this: I did the drawing of the scene. I then posed for all three figures, in the costumes, which Don Feenerty photographed. And Eugene Perez did the final composite onto the background.

Hi, again! --
One poster here wanted to see some scenes of me battling various and sundry Asian monsters of myth.
This is the Manananggal, a Filipino version of a vampire, that splits at the waist, leaving its
lower half behind while in flight. It sucks the life from unborn babies still within the mother's womb! Majorly creepy!
This is drawn by me, with color by Michael Kelleher.

I see a lot of 2-D hand-drawn illustrations here, so I plan to contribute a whole bunch of these. This is representative of my art style.
My character, Banzai girl, reading in her bedroom. I may do several variations of this as a theme. This one should get things started. :)
This is my art, with coloring by Michael Kelleher.
None of my line art is inked. It's all tight pencils. Here's how I work: I'll do several layouts, figure out what works best, blow the final layout up on a photocopier, then finish the drawing on my light table.

Continuing the theme of the monsters....
In Filipino mythology, the Duwende were strange dwarf creatures that haunt the night, often seen darting out from the edges of forests -- crossing roads and spotted in headlights.
Having lived in the Philippines for the first 20 years of my life, I could swear to glimpsing them in the evenings, while riding home from school in a jeepney.
As the story goes, one day I missed the jeepney ride and got pulled into the forest, where the Duwende made themselves known!

Known as a trickster, this half-horse, half-human shapeshifter has been known to lead many a weary traveller astray. Other times, it comes out in search of a mate!
And Banzai Girl, it seems, has caught his eye...

In the Philippines, there is a huge, scary, supposedly haunted type of tree called the Dakit.
It has been known to come to life, trapping travellers when they least expect it!

Continuing the long comic tradition of scantily clad Caucasian women lost in the jungle, I give you FERAL!
Kim Flanagan's parents were UN aid workers in Indonesia. While on a sea ferry between islands they were blown off course and became stranded on an uncharted island. The islands flora and fauna proved to be a bizarre mix of the prehistoric and the modern.
Most of the survivor's died within the first year, but some made it and built a small village in the rain forest. Kim lives as the premier hunter and protector of this small band but does so from deep within the rain forest where she feels more at home.
Notes: I tried to do alot of work with shadows on this one. The attempt was to blend the animal and human elements into the rain forest background. I found that the Midtone setting, of the Burn tool, worked best to enhance skin tones.
