| VALKYRIE Hisstoryman 2008/6/30 5:17 3696 5
UPDATE: Did a complete redo of the cape, added a texture to it, not sure why I didn't before.
A longtime member of The Defenders, Valk has had two hosts for her divine form. The first was ocialite, Samantha Parrington the second and most famous was Barbara Norriss.
The word Valkyrie comes from, Old Norse Valkyrja "Choosers of the Slain". The king of the gods Wooden (Odin) would send his warrior women to Migard (Earth) in order to collect the souls of the bravest warriors. They would them bring them to Great Hall of Asgard where they would take part in never ending feasts and battles.
The Valkyries according to the myths actually rode on wolves, not horses as they are commonly depicted. I elected to go the horse route for this piece.
Note: This manip started out as Wonder Woman International: Scandinavia, until I remembered that there was one, of a sort. Marvel Comics' Valkyrie. I went through several models until a chance search at Freeones.com brought up Hannah Hilton. After seeing her the choice became a no-brainer. The horse is a Lipizzaner stallion and "Asgard" in the background is Edinburgh Castle. The infamous rainbow bridge come from a clip art drawing that I "Warp Tool-ed" the heck out of and then used the Overlay blend on.
Hope you enjoy it, and please do not be afraid to comment and rate it. I have a thick skin. Model: Hannah Hilton |

| Blink By Winterhawk Winterhawk 2005/8/22 10:31 3694 10
Here is Blink.
This is a digital painting of Adriana Lima and Not a photomanip. I did this trying to learn how to use my New Wacom tablet.
I made this completely in Photoshop. I painted over top of a photo, that was used as reference only, on multiple layers and then removed the photo; all you see now is my paint. When I finished painting the original, I then manipped it using my normal maniping techniques to make her into Blink, The original painting is much larger then this but has not been manipped into Blink if anyone is interested in the full sized Painting of Adriana Lima go to the link below.

| Rogue by Dark Knight Dark_Knight_DK 2012/8/8 16:17 3694 11
I haven't post a manip since last year, and to be honest I haven't done one for awhile.
But last year I did a set of 6 wallpapers for a commission the first 3 is in one manip (Marvel Women click here) and they were edited in one manip. Now instead of doing the same for the three characters left I prefer to show you the character in real size but not the whole wallpaper.
PS: The original wallpaper size was 1920x1200 and have two different poses of the character (one pic showing the front of the character and the last one showing the back)...
Later I'll post the other half of the wallpaper |

I wanted to try something that I never have before... so I guess this would be it. The overall background is simple around it, but he took me a while, I just for myself really was pleased with how he came out though. Take a look and let me know. |

| Marrow DPerceful 2004/7/11 0:39 3683 5
My first submission here...with the teamup coming up and others posting here as well promoting a peace i thought i would join in. anyway this is marrow after getting the crap beat out of her by wolverine. i opted for angelina jolie as marrow, don't know why just did. kept the outfit she had on, i think it works, it would work in the movies. i added some bruises, cuts, and various other lacerations and injuries. Primarily used the burn tool and set it to different ranges to achieve the look. the exposed bone was burned to give it that fresh out of the body look and then i just carefully transformed and masked them in. that's pretty much it. apologies on the background, i created it and masked around ms. jolie, but it never really looked good because of the limitations. thanks goes out to C2F artist Zac for the pointers and advice. Feel free to look at how i made this piece in my tutorial over at http://www.comics2film.com/ArtSchool/

| Mystique themonican2005 2006/3/17 20:00 3678 7
Here is Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, the comic book version. I thought it would be interesting to see her in this as opposed to her scales in the movie. I has a lot of fun making this I hope you all enjoy it and I hope the massive amount of frankensteining and retouching isn't too obvious |

| The Venom Suit BatMic 2004/7/2 8:15 3673 3
brand new pic. only took me about 2hours. the main thing that i wanted to get across was that the venom suit (ultimate spiderman that is) was not black but a dark velvety purple. ialso added some noise to the model so that he blended more into the pic. |

May is stealthy in her black costume, watching over the streets of New York.
This one was difficult, but it was fun to see it finished. Took me about 6 hours. Most of the time was spent trying to find all the parts. The rest of it was doing that blasted spider emblem. Why do I do this to myself?? Its like torture!!! ENJOY!!! |

just fooling around. alot of the SP2 pics have this sort of twilight look to them and i thought it would look good in a teaser for SP3 assuming they use the much cooler venom suit. |

| Splitting Personalities DPerceful 2005/7/29 16:15 3657 10
This work is a quick one for me, roughly 8 hours over a 3 day period. I wanted to do another "dark art" piece....and this concept came to me. Originally wanted this to be Etrigan and Jason Blood....but I couldn't find a good base pic of Etrigan to work with. Enter Bruce Banner/Hulk. The giant chest wound is standard "dark Art" method. Basically took a pic of a pothole and overlayed it onto this Poser model. Did the same thing for the arm peeling effect. I textured the poser model by burning him with some natural brushes. I added some popping veins and overlayed them on the neck and hands. Hulk is from a statue i found on the Net (i can't remember the artist, Jim maybe) and some post work. The hand is from a hulk toy ad, matched it up and cut and pasted to get the hand in the right position. Added the text, as a space filler...and a little play on words. The background is from a hulk club shirt...with some rough coloring to it. Comments are welcome, as are questions on anything. Thanks for taking the time to look at this work.
Thanks to Biohaz, B, and Brick. Bruce Banner, B, Brick, Biohaz....wow...lots of "b" things. |

| Dagger daswook 2012/9/5 21:54 3657 9
I wish Marvel would make a true to the comic book TV series about Cloak and Dagger. Visually it could be awesome.
model: Simonia Amanda
I tried to make Dagger's costume appear a bit more formfitting, and I also tried fixing the circle around he eye. |
