| Doom Patrol: the originals pijon 2017/4/25 23:23 1741 6
I couldn't help but notice how little Doom Patrol there was in our gallery, particularly when compared to that other group of super-misfits led by a guy in a wheel chair. So while the Doom Patrol is on it's 6th lineup, I chose the original one: Negative Man, Elasti-Girl, Robotman and "the Chief".

Happy New Year!
For my first Heromorph piece of the year, this is a private commission of Donna Troy, a.k.a. Wonder Girl, thinking about both her classic original and new Wonder Girl costume. Which do you like better?

Sweet Mary on a flaming camel, this took me too damn long to get done. Damn procrastination...I promise, I'll do something about that later.
Anyways, thought I'd brush up on those dolls I seem to muddle through so well. And, at the same time, wanted to do some harder to find heroes, give the spotlight to some that might not get there otherwise.
So, from the left, there's the Heckler, the Little Mermaid from Global Guardians, Atlas Comics' Dragon, Jessica "Mrs. Cage" Jones, Fat Albert's Brown Hornet, the Grey Ghost from Batman:TAS, Shamrock, and Blue Devil.

| Doctor's Dilemma: Chinny McFate pijon 2007/5/2 12:02 2295 3
This was done for another site. The premise is to do a character in mad genius Temporal Dave's Squinty Mc Chin style. If you're not familiar with Dave's stuff, he's the guy that did the very funny BatHomer image in the upper right part of the Home Page. Since I'm such a huge fan of Squinty in particular and Dave in general, I actually picked up a pencil and drew something for the occasion (gasp!). I've also included the goofy little backstory I added over at the other site since folks seemed to enjoy that at least as much as the drawing.
Doctor's Dilemma: Chinny McFate Poor Kent Nelchin... as Chinworld's Dr. Fate, he would become the sorcerer supreme of this world simply by placing the mystic helmet of Fate over his head. Unfortunately, the ancient forces which placed these great magical powers within the helmet failed to consider the evolution of massive mandibles among the superheroes of the planet and poor Kent can't seem to get the helmet to fit right, no matter how hard he tries. This means he can't actually see when wearing the helmet and it causes his spells to misfire in unpredictable ways which makes poor Chinny one of the least called upon heroes of Chinworld. Squinty in particular, avoids working with him due to his own susceptibility to magic and has frequently been forced to come up with awkwardly lame excuses so as not to make poor Nelchin feel any worse.

| Disney self Portriat ReddEra 2010/2/24 15:28 3316 6
So I'm taking Art 101.... I know...I know.... It's way below my skill. But I wanted to go back to the basics and it's actually helping me loosen up. but it's been tough...our first week of "this is how you hold a pencil and this is a gesture drawing" really was tough to bare.
So we had to do five self portraits and then choose one of those drawings and do an impressionistic portrait of it. I will up load the portrait I used, but it was of me as bat-girl and really realistic. http://reddera.deviantart.com/art/self-portraits-feb-2010-155295494 > Third portrait. So my professor comes up and says I have a problem focusing on all of the detail and I should do something simple...with weird color combos
Professor: "you should do it like Pacosso." Me: "No I can't, I hate Pacasso... something else" Professor: Disnify yourself." Me: (big smile, high pitched voice) "really!"
So this is me as a Disney character.
I had to take a picture with my camera, I'll see If I can scan it somehow.

I love this image, so I made an untooning over it. These are Dawnstar and Wildfire, from Dc comics. I never read a history of them, but I've found the dawnstar's image here, and searched on the internet, finding them. Since it I've read a little of their history I liked a lot.
