| HELL HATH NO FURY... Hisstoryman Other Comics 2009/9/3 19:22 4370 9
Update 2: Took some advice from below and attempted to better blend the models into the scene. I think in large part I succeeded, of course I leave that for you to judge.
Update note: Lowered the Opacity of a Texture blend on Purgatori and played around with OnOne's Intellihance pro. Seemed to help a bit with the res discrepency.
A tribute to the long gone Chaos! Comics. Featured are:
Clockwise from Left to Right Chastity: Janine L. Jade: Francine Dee Lady Death: Sarenna Lee Purgatori: Miki Sawaguchi
I hope I did the characters as much justice as I got enjoyment from reading their books.

| BIG BARDA: FIRST ENCOUNTER Hisstoryman DC Comics 2009/9/26 19:05 4570 8
Update: Reworked background as well as replaced the graffiti text with something more traditional. You may notice that elements of the Anti-Life equation are on the pulpit and that a better sense of depth is created by layering the new elements.
First appearance: Mr.Miracle Vol.1 Nr.9 (August 1972) Created by: Jack Kirby
Backstory: It was the simplest task a Fury could have. Transport the cell of a prisoner to the temple of Glorious Godfrey for Sermon and Indoctrination. Perhaps the wayward adopted son of Darkseid would finally be reigned in. Yet, here she was. Big Barda, trained by Granny Goodness personally, honed to cruel perfection by Darkseid himself, bested by a man hardly half her size. She was impresses and intrigued by this rebel. Would they meet again?
Notes: While a lot of work went into Barda an equal amount of work (and more frustration) went into constructing Godfrey's temple and Apokolips outside. Does the name Victor von Frankenstein mean anything? Anyway my quest for clean edges and blended textures continues. I really like the model in this but have no idea who she is. her musculature was toned down (Believe it or not) and her breasts enhanced. |

| Spectacular Comics Presents: SAPPHIRE Hisstoryman Original Characters 2009/10/4 6:19 2731 3
Born in the Manchester section of Pittsburgh, Sapphire Nelson, beat the odds and made her way out of the slums. Attending Penn State and then entering the Peace Corp. Her volunteer duties brought her to Tanzania and the event that changed her life.
When rebels invaded the small village she was working in she led the survivors up one of the slopes of Kilimanjaro. While hiding in a cave Sapphire came upon an ancient altar holding a fist sized sapphire gem. When she picked it up the jewel glowed and then fused itself to her forehead. Imbued with the tremendous power the jewel held, Sapphire fought off the rebels and returned the villagers home.
Sapphire resides in her native Pittsburgh where she now lives as her cities protector.
Notes: Another childhood creation of mine. Although, she started off male and a knock off of Green Lantern. Over the years the concept changed and she probably received much of her look from Starfire. Too many years ago to remember... Model: Claudia Pool |

| ORIGINAL CHARACTER: MORAL DECAY Hisstoryman Original Characters 2009/11/7 13:47 2360 1
Preston Jones was a sick little boy He looked at blades and thought them a toy His father was first, a knife in his back His mother soon followed, eyes full of tacks
His sister and brother were next on the list Hacked to pieces, he swallowed the bits Away he ran into the darkness of Queens A bloody trail followed to show where he'd been.
The body count grew, the police were perplexed With each corpse, the city grew vexed. They found him, they found him, one bright sunny day Asleep with a victim who he kept to play.
They beat him and shot him and yet he survived. He animated his victim to the policeman's surprise. He made his escape wounded and bleeding. He's been trapped many times, stabbed and lynched
He has always escaped, with the dead following him.
Notes: I wanted to have this done for Halloween, but life got in the way. Moral Decay was a character I used when I played City of Villains.

| DC MUSCLE: EARTH TWO Hisstoryman DC Comics 2009/12/29 16:40 4697 4
I wanted to do a counterpart to my "Marvel Muscle" manip from a while back. For some reason, the old Earth Two JSA & Infinity Inc. were just the heroines to fit the bill. I borrowed (with mucho editing) PG from an earlier manip I had done.
Models Power Girl: Melissa Dettwiller Fury: Joanna Thomas Wonder Woman: Britt Miller Wildcat II: Devon Michaels

| MOVIE POSTER: UNION JACK Hisstoryman TV and Movies 2010/1/30 21:06 2133 4
AN unsung Marvel hero gets the big screen treatment.
As far as the uniform goes I went with a body armor look rather than the comic version. |

| BRICKHOUSE VS JAILBREAK Hisstoryman Original Characters 2010/4/4 20:40 2867 4
It is the classic battle, unstoppable force meets immovable object. On the streets of Manhattan's Alphabet City the animalistic killer Jailbreak is faced with with the brains and brawn of Brickhouse. She is the only one to ever beat him hand to hand. Who will win and can the neighborhood survive this confrontation.
Notes: Those that watched this one in the Hellfire may have noticed I completely redid the lighting and many of the textures. I think the change in poses addresses the issue of them not exactly looking at each other. I hope ! Just about all the texturizing (sic) and adjustments to shadows and highlights were done in PS CS4 and the render in Poser 8. As for colors I like to use more traditional "comic" colors in my work, I always have, I call it my "Jack Kirby palette" That's my color theory and I am sticking to it! Dammit!
Fee free to comment and constructively critique. Thanks! |

| SILVER GIRL IN ACTION Hisstoryman Original Characters 2010/4/10 21:17 2716 2
The dealers thought they had got away. Two cops were shot and the turncoat was dead. They made for the warehouse roof and freedom.
What they got was retribution in the form of a glimmering avenger. Silver Girl's stars took out their gun hands and the criminals had lost before the fight even started. No one shoots cops in her town. The streets of Red Hook, Brooklyn were a glow with the vengeance of SILVER GIRL.
