| spiderwoman trick or treat by Dark Knight DK and little by Jr Dark_Knight_DK 2008/10/31 8:17 6205 9
My partner in this team up was JrMcDeath, unfortunately he couldn't finished his part, but he and I talked about doing a funny pic, and this was about doing a marvel heroine dressed up like a DC heroine doing the classic trick or treat thing.
I can say that JrMcDeath did create the pose for spiderwoman in 3D, I just added the real head, I tried to do the supergirl costume with a home made look, because I wanted to make clear the difference between the professional uniform and the costume for halloween.
Ps: JrMcDeath's character is the one with the pumpkin head...just kidding |

| Somehow I feel March Madness Obsidian 2018/3/16 1:55 1400 4
How Obsidian views Xenomorphs and Huggers: The air is dank and several plant-like pods litter the floor, my scanners reveal there are living organisms in them and as I peer into one (stupid right? Why would anyone in their right mind do that?) a flailing thingy grabs hold of my helmet and begins.....humping. There's a lengthy phallic appendage repeatedly banging against the Infinitium plate that covers my face which it is NEVER gonna get through and after a couple seconds of this I begin to feel...somehow...violated. I mean to imagine what it was gonna do had I not had my helmet on...It was gonna force it's THINGY down my throat? I don't roll like that and my 300 plus years of life the thought has NEVER crossed my mind....this little guy is just Rapey as all get out...of course you know this will probably call for some anti-matter...none of these little rapey guys are leaving here alive...I wonder where the chicken is that laid these eggs...gotta be one big ass chicken |

| September Poster Challenge-You Only Laugh Twice BikerBot 2005/10/22 0:37 5946 18
It's rather sad that Harley Quinn wasn't around for the 60s Batman TV series, don't you think? They made one movie, wouldn't it have been great if they made a second, and cast Joey Heatherton as Harlene Quinzel?
I swear ta Ghad, this started out as a simple Joey as Harley Manip, but then it gained a life of its own. Once I found the wierdly lighted Adam West photo, I was off and running.
The background clown (a detail of the original) is by an artist named Claven, I believe it's CGI. Impressive. I know Harley is supposed to be in white face with that harlequin hat on, but I love Joey's hair too much to cover it up.
The title letters are from the actual James Bond movie poster. I hope you enjoy my creative casting choices. (Gert Frobe played Goldfinger. In my movie, he plays King Tut...) Leslie Martinson directed the 60s Batman movie. Neal Hefti wrote the Batman theme song. How did Tim Burton get back in time to direct this movie? He took the Wonkavator...
This one is dedicated to Miss Vee.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
Hope you enjoy them. I think I had more fun doing a 'manip FOR someone other than my-self. I checked out your gallery at Deviantart. I like your work, it's clean and sharp. I also like that you have your own personal style. It makes your work recognizable and your Heromoph posts jump right out at the viewer because of it. Can't wait to see what I get...

| PlayToy: I'm too old for this s**t Oz2y 2018/8/18 9:35 1473 5
Saw this joke on my Facebook timeline and thought it would be fun to make an image with some toys and do a second image for this challenge...
Then everyone favorite muppets shows when I was doing an image search for toys and, hey! muppets are toys or at least they're close enough.
Inserted on old computer in the image, edited the wallpaper to remove the old tv antenna and voilá!
Oh, the title is just a wink to one of my favorite movies (hated the TV show, but that's me), and since I didn't know what to name this, it could be worse, no?
Edit Aug, 18: I wasn't happy with the way Google search was... it looked too modern for what I was aiming... and like something was missing... I kinda rushed this last night. Now I think it's better. |

| Pijon's MAD Influence Map pijon 2012/8/6 17:54 2098 3
Trying to exploit the template grid into a comic page style to pay tribute to some of the very talented and funny folk at MAD from those early and middle years. I can't believe nobody had mentioned John Severin yet in their Influence Maps, even in people they didn't include! |
|
| Pijon's Influence Map pijon 2012/8/6 17:52 3689 8
Matthew M. Laskowski AKA fox-orion has created something called an Influence Map. The idea is a very simple one: you take a 1462 H x 1000 W and divide it into a grid. You then fill those grids with 3x3, 2x2, 2x1 and 1x1 tiles containing images of whatever has inspired you as an artist. Whatever you want... photos, paintings, comics, your art, someone else's art, 3D, vector, whatever... hell, if you wanna go off the grid, go nuts! I suggested this as a monthly challenge in the forums and all I hear is crickets chirping. Everybody SEZ they want challenges but do they really? I say yr all little be-yotches who won't step up! I'm openly challenging all members, mods and lurkers to step up and do one... if you think it's too hard, it's not... if you think it's too easy you'll find it's not that either. I've opened my brain and showed you what spilled out... let's see what's in your head! You can be sure I'll be doing this little exercise again in the future. *updated- fixed category |

Some of my favorite toons.. Thought I'd try an experiment to see if I'd still feel like I didn't have enough spaces... yup, still not enough I did use different sized tiles underlapping the grid to define groups of films by individuals or organizations as the 2x2 blocks (4 squares) used for Bakshi, Pixar and Disney, all of whom have larger bodies of work worth checking out too. Long 3 x 1 blocks used for Laloux, Miyazaki and Ohtomo, and just two (2x1) for Linklater. There's 2 shorts that made the list... One, The Man Who Planted Trees is 30 minutes long but worth your time. | Period Piece: Wonder Woman Nouveau pijon 2017/2/18 17:36 1712 9
Since lateness seems to be a running theme with me lately, I decided to make this possibly the latest challenge entry ever (by around 18 months, I think)! I tried to go with a Nouveau style even though I'm completely lacking here in the floral motifs which were prominent in this style. Anyway, on to the next thing I'm late with! |

| Period Piece: Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge (and a thing?) DarqueImages 2015/9/4 22:21 1744 4
Original: Claude Monet "Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge" circa 1899
Due to my current work schedule, I'm going to have to call this done. Not my original idea for this challenge, but it'll do. The hardest part was trying to match the brush strokes of the original painting...trying.
to the other entries: damn you guys! damn! nice work :) |
