| Okay, guess I'm really plumbing the depths of obscurity this time! Google "Ditko Killjoy" and you might even find online reprints of Killjoy's two appearances as a backup feature in Charlton's E-Man. It is Steve Ditko at his most irreverent and at his silliest. Anyway I realized hadn't really done a decent Ditko tribute piece so I thought I'd attempt one with Killjoy attempting to land a shot on the very slippery S.S.S. Snake. |

| Don't know how many folks are familiar with this great series from the 80's but I hear Dark Horse is set to give him a new series. Sorta tried a less is more approach here. |

| Mr. Monster and his sexy and smart assistant, Kelly Friday doing what they do best. I always loved Michael T. Gilbert's over the top artist owned superhero. He probably set some kind of record after having this character published under at least 6 different companies (that I know of)! |

I've been fooling with some different ideas, approaches and techniques and this is one of the better results so far. I was undecided as to whether or not this fit in here but what the heck... it's fantasy scifi, right? |

| File this under "Why I like the merged galleries better" dept: This way I don't have to think to hard about where to place a bastard child of 2D and 3D like this one! Anyway, background's pure 3D built in Bryce and the characters are first drawn in 2D then converted to 3D in Bryce and Daz. A tribute to Will Eisner... he was the man! and Spirit was one of the best comics ever. |

| A tribute to (Spiderman co-creator) Steve Ditko and his character, Mr. A, the original ghost faced killah in the name of justice. While I don't see eye to eye with Ditko's Objectivist philosophies, I do admire his artistic integrity, sacrificing larger popularity and greater financial gains to follow his own vision. |

Doug (the Thug) Williams was an ambitious career criminal. He had henched for all the top supervillains like Lex Luthor and the Joker but was determined to make more of himself. Williams always invested his share of the take in steroids and his "supersuit fund" while managing to stay out of jail by ratting out his co-workers. Finally, he saved enough to purchase the supersuit and weapons, deeming himself Heavy Artillery. Determined to make a name for himself among the major supervillains, Heavy A (as his peeps now called him) set out to knock off the largest bank he could find.Unfortunately he had never bothered learning geography and map reading skills and had the misfortune of picking a bank in Metropolis. It has been speculated that Heavy Artillery might have had a somewhat successful career in Supervillainy if only he'd picked his target area more carefully. |

As I worked on this, I was struck by the fact that what (to me) is amusingly unique of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles among all supers is that while the rest wear masks to hide their identities, turtles appear to wear them so they can be told apart from one another
