| Harley's B-Day Present to Joker: BG! MsV 2013/5/29 14:51 2935 3
"Surprise, Surprise" (where have we seen this scene before?) You've seen this body before - remanipped "BG Framed" and tilted hesd; moved rt. arm; coloured hair; moved rt. thigh; added rt. calf and boot; added ribbons; added Harley. I hope these re-manips are not boring to HM. It is sort of my MO: if I find a good model I like to manip it into different positions and different charaters (this body is SpiderWoman in Adult Gallery). |

The crazy Harley Quinn personality holds the relatively sane Harleen Quinzelle hostage
Hardest part was turning her blonde without it looking useless. Same pic I used for the Princess Leia one last week |

| Hawk & Dove by Dark Knight Dark_Knight_DK 2008/9/6 17:07 9844 28
I like to do manips with no used characters in heromorph, and since I saw the titans east comic by Ian Churchill and the way he made hawk & dove's costumes I decided to do a manip with those characters.
It was really fun to do these characters trying to look like churchill's comic, except for Dove's mask, the girl in the pic is very pretty and I didn't want to hide her face with those white lenses,so I make them transparent.
The only problem I had was Dove's hands,in the original pic she was leaning and holding on a tube, and since I didn't want to do any frankenstein thing, I simple made her look like she was holding the DC and hawk & Dove logo (hope it doesn't look strange).
PS: any character suggestions for my next project?

This one has been the thorn in my side for almost 18 months but finally it is done! This was actually the second manip I ever started but no matter how many times I tried, I just couldn't get it working, something was always just not right. As I'm no expert in the intricate details of Hawkgirl's history, I've based this character on the Justice League animated Hawkgirl, however the clothing design is a sort of combination of the various versions of her. Rose McGowan is our model (although you'd hardly recognise her). I wanted to make her really combat ready, however I kept the overall armour light, I theorise that heavy armour would hamper her flying ability and also gave her tight leather clothing to help with wind resistance. I've acid etched the helm and stained the clothing, bracers and boots with Thanagarian symbols and patterns, well my own version of them anyway, and gave the helm some scarring to make it look as if it's seen battle. The helm was the hardest part, it took forever to get it right, but it was worth it! |

I promisse I'll never use these beams of light again. Here, however, I felt they worked really well to match my Hawkgirl and to establish a certain mood. Also, I like the feather pattern but by no means I think it is realistic. Anyone who tried to make a Hawkgirl or an Angel knows that!
Liquify and Polar Coordinates were very helpful here to create these wings.
I've put two images side by side, with a few horizontal distortions, in order to form a 3D effect. You gentlemen may attempt to see it by crossing your eyes. |

I've been wanting to do a Hawkgirl manip for awhile. I must say that her mask was a huge pain in the butt, and I'm still not entirely happy with it, but I am tired of fooling with it. Not sure who the model is. |

| Hawkgirl in Paris drunkendragon 2008/12/11 16:08 3384 3
First in my group of League of Justice Babes. Hawkgirl. The mace I borrowed from an online medieval weapons catalog and spiffed up with some effects inspired by ReddEra's Hawgirl (Thanks for making that one so sweet!) The model I thought was a perfect fit...Jennifer "Hawkins"...I think a Miss Universe, or America or something. I don't know why Paris...I just liked the wallpaper photo (found at DesktopWallpapers.com) The rest I made myself...came out OK I think. More of the League to Follow. |

I got a request from Brazzzil to do the Wonder Woman from DC's series, so I did it. But I got an special ideia to do it, doing too another version of wonder woman, that I call Divine Essence. This one you can see on my blog, that have a lot of different features, with the well description, that you can translate with a tool in the right side of my blog. |

| Hero Insider Issue #1 Kallisti 2005/3/2 21:11 3613 6
So i found this magazine cover for something called "Star Week" and it had Lucy Lawless on it and some interview about some new series she's supposed to be in after Xena. The Warrior Woman title was already there. Basically I just made the headband, plopped in some new text, and tried to smooth some of the lines on her face out a bit. but not too much! WW is supposed to be tough as nails... Could possibly become a new series. Enjoy! Comments appreciated... |

| Heroic Trio outlaw2LK 2005/12/31 13:43 6535 14
I know I got a little lazy and didn't change the background... but my main focus and inspiration was from the three girls on the "North Shore" poster. I just had fun making them into my 3 favorite DC babes.
Supergirl and Wonder Woman costumes done from scratch. The BatGirl costume was from Birds of Prey and the mask from Batman & Robin.
This is the second attempt at it. The first one I posted on C2F, but decided to change up the metalic look on Wonder Woman.

| HM - C2F Crossover: Quicksilver By Shaylinn & Flash By Aharmona Aharmona 2004/8/10 20:28 6205 4
Well Shaylinn worked diligently on her Quicksilver and patiently waited for my Flash to finally arrive. This was an idea I was very nervous about; with Flash being my favorite character, I wanted my first manip to be perfect. I think the crossover went very well and I had a fantastic partner in Shaylinn. I think our desire to use the same model allowed us to see our manipping styles and really push each other to better ourselves.
Shaylinn's original comments:
We decided if we were going to do a cross we would cross everything ;) So since aharmona is more of DC fan and I'm a Marvelite we decided to do a Flash/Quicksilver crossover and while we were at it did a crossgender as well. So for the manip itself.... aharmona provided the base image so I am unsure of the model. Started with a nude image and reworked and recolored both the costume pieces and the hair to match QS. The costume was done with three separate layers of recoloring and then cutting out the correct shapes. Then a couple of layer effects over and I was lucky enough to get the shine you see. Then since aharmona was going to have Flash on the Cosmic treadmill I thought I would have QS working on an "alien machine" to account for the pose. So I found a cool image on the net that I frankensteined into the device you see. The globe on the top was originally silver but a layer effect gave me the glowing orb look I wanted. Once that was set I had to slightly alter the position of QS's back arm and the back leg so they would rest on the machine. I also altered the angle and reworked both feet since in the original pic she was on her tip toes. And I shortened her hair a bit to something I felt was more appropriate for a speedster. The background is two images I found on the net worked together with lightning added to the Flash side and that side recolored to match Flash's dominant color. I was trying for a spacial rift sort of feel trying to make it seem as if they were working from their own universes to save both. |

| HM/C2F crossover "Mirror Image" by Dark Knight & B Dark_Knight_DK 2004/8/8 22:00 6246 12
B's comments:
I started out suggesting doing Batman and Robin for this collaboration (following the vague "teamup" theme suggested by Max and Mike), but I think neither of us wanted to manip a guy... so we ended up doing the same character twice. Sort of. Here's Daniela Petrova as Stephanie Brown (aka Spoiler) and as Stephanie Brown (aka Robin).
I did Spoiler. The costuming was done the usual way, the metal I did using Dan Perceful's new tutorial at C2F, the cape and hood were done from scratch. This is just my second attempt at a cape... I think it's a bit better than the first was. The hood I based on that in a Rembrandt painting of a monk.
This was fun! DK's great to work with, and a damn good artist to boot. I think our ideas for the pic meshed together quite well. Here's to the next crossover!
Dark Knight's comments:
The most difficult part was to smudge the skin of the girl without loosing the details, because we choose a pic with a low quality, other than that It was fun creating the costume, I'm very pleased with the mask, and the background (that lighting effect looks pretty cool!!). And it was great working with B. |
