Playboy pic photo manip. Her hands were on the breasts so I covered them up and added an arm I drew from scratch. I went for an artsy look. Model is Kitana Baker. |

This was suppose to be my fifth entry but after I got stuck on the fourth, this got elevated, but I've noticed Huntress has quite a following so I figured it's a more logical choice anyway. This was cool to work on, I took the based design of the current comic look and combined it with what I'd imagine seeing in the Chris Nolan Batman universe. Eva Mendez is the lucky lady cast. Although she doesn't really fit the description of the character, the pose I found of her worked great so I figured eh close enough! Got rid of the cape, instead gave her a sleeveless leather coat and left the colours somewhat similar to the comic but toned them down. The hardest part was the mask. I noticed as I was creating it just how silly Huntress looks when you try and create a realistic version of her comic mask, took me a while to work out a good balance between comic and reality. Gave her some kick arse gloves I found, added the finer details and presto! Started early January finished late March....now back to that one I've yet to finish! |

| HM/C2F Crossover: Terra vs Beast Boy by Dark Wanderer and Kev Incal Dark Wanderer 2005/3/2 6:25 4838 16
We opted for Terra when she went evil and was working for Slade. The original image was going to have a roof top battle with a ghostly image of Slade in the background. StarFire, Raven, Speedy and Aqualad were going to be out for the count(Slade, Star, and Raven were done by me)... But because of the system loss on my end this was all we could salvage. I am thankful to Kev for being able to get a background and salvage what I had on Terra. So here we have Terra and BB Morphing. Would have done much more ....but....enough rant enjoy. |

| HM/C2F Crossover: A Knight over Gotham by Winterhawk and GraphicMouse Winterhawk 2005/3/2 6:13 4658 24
I used Poser 4 and photoshop 7. I did Batman and Robin, a section of rope, Batman's shadow and some minor dodge and burning to the rest of the pictures for lighting. My partner blew me away and finished the rest and did such a great job on it. This version is only 50% of the actual size but you can find a full sized version at http://members.shaw.ca/winterhawk3/X-OVER-fin-full.jpg Enjoy
Graphicmouse Art notes: Winterhawk showed me a line drawing that he wanted to try and I said let's go for it. Everything is from scratch using the drawing as a reference. Mainly i sketched the drawing then scan it and colored it in Photoshop. Somethings about the original didn't hit me as being right so i changed the look of the Joker and adjusted the paddle to equal where the steel blade ball was going, other wise I tried to make it as close as possible to the original. |

| HM/C2F crossover "Mirror Image" by Dark Knight & B Dark_Knight_DK 2004/8/8 22:00 6246 12
B's comments:
I started out suggesting doing Batman and Robin for this collaboration (following the vague "teamup" theme suggested by Max and Mike), but I think neither of us wanted to manip a guy... so we ended up doing the same character twice. Sort of. Here's Daniela Petrova as Stephanie Brown (aka Spoiler) and as Stephanie Brown (aka Robin).
I did Spoiler. The costuming was done the usual way, the metal I did using Dan Perceful's new tutorial at C2F, the cape and hood were done from scratch. This is just my second attempt at a cape... I think it's a bit better than the first was. The hood I based on that in a Rembrandt painting of a monk.
This was fun! DK's great to work with, and a damn good artist to boot. I think our ideas for the pic meshed together quite well. Here's to the next crossover!
Dark Knight's comments:
The most difficult part was to smudge the skin of the girl without loosing the details, because we choose a pic with a low quality, other than that It was fun creating the costume, I'm very pleased with the mask, and the background (that lighting effect looks pretty cool!!). And it was great working with B. |

| HM - C2F Crossover: Quicksilver By Shaylinn & Flash By Aharmona Aharmona 2004/8/10 20:28 6205 4
Well Shaylinn worked diligently on her Quicksilver and patiently waited for my Flash to finally arrive. This was an idea I was very nervous about; with Flash being my favorite character, I wanted my first manip to be perfect. I think the crossover went very well and I had a fantastic partner in Shaylinn. I think our desire to use the same model allowed us to see our manipping styles and really push each other to better ourselves.
Shaylinn's original comments:
We decided if we were going to do a cross we would cross everything ;) So since aharmona is more of DC fan and I'm a Marvelite we decided to do a Flash/Quicksilver crossover and while we were at it did a crossgender as well. So for the manip itself.... aharmona provided the base image so I am unsure of the model. Started with a nude image and reworked and recolored both the costume pieces and the hair to match QS. The costume was done with three separate layers of recoloring and then cutting out the correct shapes. Then a couple of layer effects over and I was lucky enough to get the shine you see. Then since aharmona was going to have Flash on the Cosmic treadmill I thought I would have QS working on an "alien machine" to account for the pose. So I found a cool image on the net that I frankensteined into the device you see. The globe on the top was originally silver but a layer effect gave me the glowing orb look I wanted. Once that was set I had to slightly alter the position of QS's back arm and the back leg so they would rest on the machine. I also altered the angle and reworked both feet since in the original pic she was on her tip toes. And I shortened her hair a bit to something I felt was more appropriate for a speedster. The background is two images I found on the net worked together with lightning added to the Flash side and that side recolored to match Flash's dominant color. I was trying for a spacial rift sort of feel trying to make it seem as if they were working from their own universes to save both. |

| Heroic Trio outlaw2LK 2005/12/31 13:43 6535 14
I know I got a little lazy and didn't change the background... but my main focus and inspiration was from the three girls on the "North Shore" poster. I just had fun making them into my 3 favorite DC babes.
Supergirl and Wonder Woman costumes done from scratch. The BatGirl costume was from Birds of Prey and the mask from Batman & Robin.
This is the second attempt at it. The first one I posted on C2F, but decided to change up the metalic look on Wonder Woman.

| Hero Insider Issue #1 Kallisti 2005/3/2 21:11 3613 6
So i found this magazine cover for something called "Star Week" and it had Lucy Lawless on it and some interview about some new series she's supposed to be in after Xena. The Warrior Woman title was already there. Basically I just made the headband, plopped in some new text, and tried to smooth some of the lines on her face out a bit. but not too much! WW is supposed to be tough as nails... Could possibly become a new series. Enjoy! Comments appreciated... |

if not for the timely intervention of a friend, the JLA might not have been able to defeat starro. with the bat and the amazon and the martian away, his timing couldn't have been better. some of this pic was morphed, some was posed and some was cut and pasted, but it was all extremely fun. hope you guys enjoy! what do you guys think? |

First in my group of League of Justice Babes. Hawkgirl. The mace I borrowed from an online medieval weapons catalog and spiffed up with some effects inspired by ReddEra's Hawgirl (Thanks for making that one so sweet!) The model I thought was a perfect fit...Jennifer "Hawkins"...I think a Miss Universe, or America or something. I don't know why Paris...I just liked the wallpaper photo (found at DesktopWallpapers.com) The rest I made myself...came out OK I think. More of the League to Follow. |
