Sky dragons are large even for dragons, though not as large as Mountain Dragon they do share much of the same territory and often come into conflict with the giant behemoths from time to time. Sky dragons are deceptively agile and capable of hovering (Unlike most dragons which cannot) their breath is a blueish flame of intense heat composed primarily of plasma. This intense flame can burn through all but the most resilient materials. Sky Dragons mate for life, unlike other dragons that mate periodically. If the mate should die the surviving dragon often selects a new mate the following mating season. However, if a Sky Dragon's mate is killed the surviving mate often goes on a killing spree searching for it's mate's killer be it man or beast and does not stop until it is killed or it has exacted revenge. In this respect Sky dragons set themselves apart for no non-sentient creature is known to seek revenge making scholars speculate as to just how sentient these magnificent creatures truly are.

| The Inter-Galactic Federation of Worlds or I.G.F.W. for short, dispatches small fleets of ships to expand its territories and explore the farthest reaches of the Milky Way Galaxy. Shown here are 2 cruisers (left center and far right), one heavy destroyer (Bottom), a frigate (top), and a heavy scout class vessel (top left). Departing from a deep space station. It is important to note that all space stations are designed to be self sustaining depot with medium range cargo ships and mining equipment and always placed near a habitable planet in the event of any catastrophe. Space stations are towed in modular sections and transported via Space-fold which is not practical for every day travel despite the fact that most IGFW Star-ships are equipped with Fold Generators. The Modular sections are then assembled on site and any accompanying ships remain with the station for a full rotation. Placing a station in deep space takes only a few days at most and has made colonization much easier than in previous generations. |

Well Spider-Man wasn't in danger in the slightest...I however was nearly eaten by cybernetic sharks...who does that to a shark anyway? Seriously. It isn't long before we're inside and I get to meat the rest of our "Gold" team. Let me tell you something...WOW...I recognize He-Man's sister immediately...and damn is she gorgeous. All the right curves...and that loooong blond hair..I have a weakness for blonds...and Japanese chicks too. The other hottie i don't recognize, and that's a rarity. I make a few inquiries about her but come up with zilch lots of pictures but no real background data. Since my scanners are on the fritz I can't tell what her powers or abilities are. Whatever. I take one look at Spidey and it's like he's a different guy, and I don't need scanners to know he's eyeballing those girls like a starving man does a steak.
"Okay Sid, here's the deal..."
"Don't call me Sid."
"There's two of them and two of us so I was thinking..."
"...like a fifteen year old?"
"Exactly! So which one do you want?"
"Actually, and I know this sounds bad but...I'm kinda into powerful women...If we're gonna do this ...and by the way I married twice over...I'll go with the blond."
"See I knew you were cool, Iron-Man said you weren't but I knew better."

So after my talk with the princess of power I decided to take action, I called my ship and had them drop off my personal fighter. two quick space folds later and I'm back...with a gift for my lady friend.
I find out from maylen -who is dodging Spiderman like Tweety and Sylvester- that she's exploring the mansions upper rooms. I find her in one of the offices and that's when I spring it on her.
"Hey there She-Ra."
"Obsidian, good afternoon."
"Hey I was thinking about what you said yesterday and I had an idea."
"Oh?"
"I was thinking if I could make all of your problems go away, maybe you'd like to go on a date with me."
"Haha You'd have to murder Hordac before I could find time for that."
"Funny you should mention that, because I have a very special gift for you."
Holding a large box I set it on a nearby sofa and unlatch the locks
"I love surprises, what is it."
The look on her face is...well it's priceless. I'm not sure whether to console her or laugh hysterically as I present her with Hordac's head.
"WHAT THE FU--"
An F bomb almost escapes her lips and I realize this idea may go very south.
"What? How? Where? Why?...It's a head? Hordac's....Head. Heads aren't presents!!!"
"Well you just said..."
"It was a figure of speech, I was speaking hypothetically...the backlash on this from his minions is going to be catastrophic!!! Do you realize what you've done?"
"His minions...Oh you mean his flunkies...no no no no no they won't be a problem....they're dead too."
"WHAT!!!???"
"Yeah I figured there would be a vacuum and nature abhors a vacuum...so I took out the whole system."
"How?"
"Antimatter Torpedo right smack dab on top of his palace and compounds. Turns out Hordac doesn't have any orbital defenses so when i showed up in orbit it was like shooting fish in a bucket. Point and click really."
"What of his prisoners and other innocent people?"
"Transported them out before the warheads hit. So how about that date? You don't have any obligations on Etheria anymore."
"But my friends..."
"...can get on with their lives."
"But what about..."
"Please don't tell me you're stuck on that archer with the heart on his chest."
"Bow?"
"Gods, even his name is uncreative...what kind of archer goes by the name Bow? Come on, we're here now and there's no worries at home...you can-"
The look on her face I first mistake for rage...but it isn't it's LUST...I'll need to repair my helmet later since it's never been torn from my sui but she is He-Man's little sister...I hope she plans on being gentle...or maybe Adora? Nope...she's going with She-Ra...hope I can walk tomorrow.

The Sathari cruiser that was waiting here when we arrived here in the Namae system hails us and I'm a little uneasy considering the fact that I'm not speaking to my best friend whose second in command of the empire. On screen is a uniformed captain who looks a little too Nazi for my tastes but is otherwise completely cordial.
"Greetings Danar, I am Captain T'briel of the cruiser Exeter. I have on board an envoy assigned for personal protection assigned to you by the emperor himself. He'll have more details and his orders with him upon his arrival."
"I'm sorry did you say Danar?"
"Yes , Danar is the name for all former high ranked officials after they leave office."
"You guys don't play around with the formalities do you? I was told to expect the arival of some personal security but I have a detail assigned to my ship already."
"Yes sir, I'm aware of that but this officer has been hand-picked by the emperor as I stated previously he'll have more information with him. We'll send his shuttle over when you're ready."
"Very well, send him over. Obsidian out."
In moments a tiny little shuttlepod arrives in our shuttle bay and I am there to greet it with my new personal security detail and as always Aini eager to prove herself. I have briefed them that if anything seems amiss to shoot to kill and ask questions later. Not everyone in the Sathari empire was happy when Analaeus took over or with my appointment as High Justiciar. More than a few have tried to kill me in the last few years but you have to get up pretty early in the morning to assassinate an assassin. Still that never stopped the few ca[able of it from trying. In the meantime I have already contacted Ananlaeus who was at the moment in acouncil with the regional governors and was not going to be able to confirm this guy's identity, I send a message to Harley as well just to be safe and hope maybe he's in the loop.
As the rear hatch opens I am stunned to see a Lunari, black furred and clad in the Nazi-ish uniform the Sathari are known for. I have to remember to have a talk with Harley about those uniforms. The lunari is a male about 6 feet tall with some kind of optical scanner on his head adn wearing a half cape which I personally think looks to be a bit too much but is actually standadr issue for the Sathari Psi-Mage division. Suddenly it dawns on me why this guy was assigned to me and the second my men see the cape the draw their weapons.
"This guy doesn't flinch he instead salutes and very carefully hands me his orders. I read them over carefuly and what it boils down to is that because of the nature of my personal life the emperor has deemed it necessary for me to be assigned additional security of an arcane nature. Apparently guns can only do so much but I can understand where he's coming from.
"What's your name soldier?"
"Sub-commander Shadawar reporting as ordered Danar and may I add it is an honor to be assigned as your personal guard."
"Oh? Why is that sub-commander?"
"To be honest sir, your exploits are well known to all of us in the Sathari empire and anyone working dignitarty security would give his right arm to be assigned to anyone who sees the kind of action you do."
"Too many old farts puttering around at social functions and rubbing elbows with snobby aristocrats?"
"Something like that sir."
at that moment I get the word from Harley that I should expect a large black German Sheppard-looking mofo to arrive at any time. Okay this guys is on the up and up. His qualifications are impressive, he knows rank 10 spells, tier 56 psionics too. Yeah this guy is exactly what I expect Analaeus would assign me. I need a new first officer and he's got the credentials and then some.
"Shadawar is it?"
"Yes sir."
"How would you like to be my first officer?"
"I don't see how that would be possible sir, I'm assigned to be your personal security."
"Actually , your orders say right here "...or in whatever capacity you deem necessary." Leaving you free for such duties if I see fit. So what do you say?"
"It would be my honor sir. Okay I'll brief you in full on your specific duties later, just for now know you're second in command."
The shuttle returns to the Sathari cruiser and make our way to the ghost planet...at this point we're about as ready as we're ever gonna be. |

Spydra is a preistess of the spider goddess Spydraxis and has been gifted with powerfuel armor and given the honor of being Spydraxis' earthly Scion
Powers and abilities:
360 degree vision
Suit is constructed of Magical materials and each day will repair any damage.
Climbing: Spydra's talons allow her to scale even sheer surfaces so long as her claws can penetrate the material to get a grip.
Webs: Spydra uses the following Spell effects with unlimited use:
Spider Silk: Allows Spydra to create web lines which are used for swinging or in any way one would use rope.
Cocoon: Allows Spydra to completely envelope a single target in webbing from head to foot. Victims fall into an induced coma that lasts for up to 24 hours during which time they are completely unable to defend themselves.
Spider's Den: This ability allows Spydra to fill a 400 sq. foot area with webbing. The webs are very sticky and greatly impede movement, there is a chance of being hopelessly stuck if one moves more than 5 feet through this labyrinth. While in the den Spydra can sense the movements of anyone touching the webbing and instantly knows the following facts: Subjects Height, Weight, Strength, and Agility. Due to her other powers Spydra can move through the web at maximum speed without disturbing the wens themselves. Any victim caught in the webbing cannot resist her coccoon power and is instantly covered from head to toe in webbing at Spydra's discretion.
Premonition: Allows Spydra to not only detect an impending attack but also gives her instinctive knowledge of the direction and best possible defense.
Strength of the Titans: This spell endows the wearer of the suit with the ability to lift ungodly amounts of weight. It also makes the wearer's hands into Non-Conventional Damage weapons. This means the wearer can damage Mechs and Heavily armored vehicles.
Cats foot: Grants the power to always land on one's feet.
Unbound: Allows Spydra to move without being restrained by anything that would hinder movement, additionally she cannot be bound by mortal means.
Feather foot: Spydra never sets off pressure sensitive devices.
Night Vision: Spydra can in the dark as well as if it were broad daylight even if no light is available.
Spit Acid: 60 feet acid is highly corrosive and lethal to organic beings.
Spider-bite: Using her mandibles Spydra can fire a paralytic beam to a rage of 30 yards. Victims of her venomous beams are unable to move for up to 15 minutes during which time they are completely at her mercy...or lack there of. Creatures immune to poison are unaffected however creatures immune to magic are affected normally. This power will work on creatures with uo to Category 2 Invulnerability.
Elven Grace: This magic grants Spydra phenomenal agility and poise, it also improves her reflexes considerably.
Overwhelming Phobia: Once per day Spydra can cause overwhelming fear in a single mortal person. Immortal creatures are immune to this effect such as Luminesti Elves. It is not possible to resist this effect unless one has magical immunities or is immune to fear attacks. Even Psionics are no match for this power.

| Dragon Forest

The Forest Dragon is one of the more fearsome dragons ...as dragons go. they are the classic fire-breathing green behemoth of legend and fantasy. They are rather sentient and some can speak albeit only on a rudimentary level.
All that aside this is the single most complex piece I have ever done...the only postwork is the glowing eyes and my logo...all plants are 3d and in render. My standard 4 light setup brought out the best in the scene and the Dragon's skin is a modified version of Dariofish's Great dragon textures from Renderosity, created by me. this was a real labor of love and the render time was an astonishing 20 minutes...eat that Reality users. |

Following She-Ra is not an easy task. Most folks don't know it but those super strong types can propel themselves through water pretty quickly. I'm making good time but I'm still behind her...even with Aquatic Impulse drives. I happen upon a cave in the reefs and I happen to catch the glow of some kind of light...I hope this isn't one of those bad things I'm always running into but this place almost guarantees I'm gonna run into something horrible...Ah well, time to fall into the trap and see what's in there.
On a side note: My underwater images are getting much better...not really a steep learning curve though. |

Spider-Man is accidentally transported across time and space to an alternate dimension where he meets up with Spydra. The two hit it off right away but can the Web Head deal with Spydra's willingness to take a life in the pursuit of the greater good? That remains to be seen. For my next crossover: Iron-Man and Silver Beetle 3.
FYI: Spydra will be getting a new costume design soon...Wait and see.

We're here with the gold team and we must say, our viewers are pretty stoked about this lineup. Two teams going head to head who will win? There's the blue team with She-Hulk, Banzai Girl, and Batmite. And now the gold team is assembled with She-Ra, Obsidian Mask, Spiderman, and Maylen. So how have you guys been settling in?
<She-Ra>: The Sorceress was kind enough to open a portal here at Lady Heromorph's request and Once here everyone I have met has been terribly kind.
<Maylen> yeah, we took some preliminary team photos and got to look around a bit. The mansion is really spacious and extravagant...especially the pool.
Which brings us to your earlier dilemma Obsidian, can you fill our readers in on what happened poolside earlier?
<Obsidian>: The sharks tried to eat me...I blew them up.
Ah-well-that was um- moving right along Spider-Man you're no stranger tot he smackdown so how do you feel about it this year?

The P.R.I.D.E. (Haven't come up with a proper acronym yet) is a small group of genetically engineered super soldiers design to handle Paranormal activities, and crimes of a supernatural origin. Composed of 5 members the team's Original leader went rogue due to a genetic marker that was later determined to cause a high degree of insanity resulting in severe psychopathic behavior. Subsequently the leader killed his handler before he could be tested under field conditions. Code Named "Maneater" he is the primary concern of this group. The current roster includes (Pictured from left to right) Cheetah, Jagwire, Panterra, Alleycat, and Tigress, Each member excels in one area of expertise.
Team Overview, by Director Angella Crosby
Cheetah is incredibly fast achieving land speeds of up to Mach 3 although she is incapable of pinpoint maneuvers restricting her movements to straight lines only.
Jagwire is physically the weakest member of the group although his armor should more than compensate for this. However, he possesses a high degree of intelligence with an I.Q. measuring around 500 points (A conservative estimate) his current role is the designing of equipment and forensics.
Alleycat is a brute capable of lifting and estimated 100,000 tons and is invulnerable to all known weapons. He is impervious to all known diseases and viruses and is for intents and purposes indestructible. However, his phenomenal power comes at the cost of intellect having an I.Q. of about 80. Alleycats learning disability does not translate to combat and he is more than capable of following orders and is utterly fearless in combat situations.
Tigress is the teams combat leader and instructor she is a more than capable hand to hand combatant trained in over 20 forms of martial arts including, Ninjitsu, Aikido, Tai-Chi, Jeet Kun do, Karate, Tiger style Kung Fu, Savat, Jusjitsu, to name just a few. She is the team's second in command and would be leader if not for her temper and inclination to fly into rages of anger. This may become a problem later however, for now at least she is controllable and this has not interfered with her performance in the field.
Update: The creation of a new leader has been sanctioned and is warranted by the recent assault on the U.N. by "Maneater", resulting in a catastrophic loss of life and the destruction of the U.N. building and everything within 25 miles. The new team leader has been designated "Panterra"
Panterra has been designed (To a degree) to represent the combined abilities of each of his teammates and while he does not outperform each of them in their field of expertise he is outperforms them in every other way.
Speed: While he is not as fast as cheetah he can still attain speeds of up to Mach 1.5 on land and make pinpoint maneuvers.
Intelligence: While not as intelligent as Jagwire Panterra does boast an I.Q. of 376 and is a more than capable forensic expert.
Strength: Panterra does not possess the phenomenal strength or invulnerability of Alleycat though he is capable of withstanding most attacks utilizing his Adamantine-composite armor. Panaterrea is capable of lifting 15 tons without the assistance of his armor and up to 80 tons with.
Combat: Panterra is clearly no match for Tigress in combat but he is hardly helpless. He has already mastered 12 forms of Martial art including those previously listed under Tigress' entry.
Panterra has shown none of the side-effects that the "Maneater" project demonstrated and has been judged "a stable and viable subject" it is the recommendation of this office that the team be placed into active service immediately. Further it is the determination of this office that the team should no longer require "Handlers" as they have each clearly demonstrated that they are capable and loyal agents.

Combining his combat experience and his experience with Phychiatry he has made more than one criminal shatter under his glowing green gaze. He is very passionate about protecting the innocent and is careful to never use his powers to their full extent lest he turn to a life of evil. Only one criminal has ever faced the full wrath of his power and to this very day he sits in a room full of flood lights and refuses to leave his home at night no matter what. Even the mere sight of the color black is enough to send him into convulsions followed by a catatonic state. |

| Cardano was once a highly populated world full of sentient life. None know where the entire population went but researchers have uncovered evidence that leads them to believe that the entire population disappeared all at once and without warning. The IGFW has quarantined this planet and it is illegal to set foot on it without a permit. Emergency landings may be permitterd but are ill advised. Archaological teams have determined that the people who once lived here were a species of female humanoids who possibly reproduced asexually although research has discovered that 2 females are required. it is possible that the species was someform of evolved plant like the Eant, or the Floamph, but as none are around any longer it is difficult to prove. Subterranean exploration is slated to be underway soon but has been held op by opposition from naturalists who wish to leave to planet be. Magical investigations are not allowed at this time and anyone caught using Divination magic within orbit of or on the surface of the planet faces stiff jail time and possible removal of spell ability for several years. Obviously as a quarantined planet it is off limits to all IGFW citizens. |

| Not all sentient species are organic, the Shitisceris are an example of one such species. Their crystalline bodies combined with their unique bio-energy have set them apart as sentient aliens. They have master the art of solidifies energy constructs and have the most sophisticated computer systems in existence. The create sprawling cities of breathtaking beauty and can create constructs as durable and flexible as anything man-made, from nearly any type of crystal. They have the ability to use magic and several dozen serve as Psi-Mages of the highest caliber. As one might suspect they do not require food or an atmosphere to survive but are vulnerable to abrasive atmospheres and sonic attacks. Shisceris society is Matriarchal and while they are not Xenophobic their worlds offer little of interest to off-worlders with the exception of computer crystals. Psi-Mages travel great distances to obtain unique Psi-Blade crystals that grant rare abilities which can only be found in crystals made by Shisceris crystal-smiths. Such Psi-Blade crystals are highly prized. |

| Also called the Thunderer, Odinson, and God of Thunder, Thor is one of the Norse Gods of Asgard. Like all Norse gods he is immortal and quite powerful, unlike other deities, Thor is very pre-occupied with the affairs of Midgard (Earth) and the lives of mortals in general. Asgard is home to the Norse gods and is only reachable via the Rainbow bridge Bifrost Thor has two goats, Tangrisner and Tangjost (Tooth Gnasher and Tooth Grinder respectively) who pull his magical chariot. Asgard itself is adjacent to Midgard, Alfheim, and Valhalla, the hope of an afterlife for all those who follow the Norse faith. Thor is known for his incredible strength (surpassed only by his son Magni) which is due to his Magical belt Meginjord,which doubles his already considerable strength and allows him to lift his mighty hammer Mjolnir. The warhammer was created by dwarves who accidentally broke the handle, however, Thor liked the feel and asked them not to fix it. Thor requires a pair of gauntlets Jarngreipr in order to protect his hands from burns when the hammer returns to his hand which the gauntlets enable him to do. His staff Gridarvolr was a gift from Grior the Jotunn which when combined with his gauntlets saved his life. Thor has full control over storms and more specifically lightning and no lightning, natural or magical, can harm him. Thor is fond of drinking and may be encountered in a bar or tavern acting rather raucously. He is quite the chauvinist and womanizer, and is also quite short tempered. While he is known for his sense of honor and great strength he is also known to be a bit dim and quite gullible. |

| Obsidian Mask and Spider-Man, hunt down the whereabouts of the insidious duo of Dr.Doom and Dominion. Their trail leads them to the warehouse district in a particularly rough neighborhood in middle of Brooklyn. Spider-Man is not too fond of guns but Obsidian assures him that the ammunition is strictly non-lethal. Reluctantly the Web Head concedes the point. High above on a rooftop they scout the entrance to what they believe is a warehouse being used to ship supplies having discovered a link between the warehouse and a Latverian shipping company. Peering down the duo notices that the workers are not exactly what they would seem. |

Faeries can become invisible and even without such a power are difficult to see. Faeries build small villages and even then such places go unnoticed by "Big Folk" who see them as nothing more than natural debris.Faeries dwell deep in thick forests rarely venturing out into civilized societies. They Respect elves, and other kind Sylvan races and can be found in such company rather frequently. Faeries are very cunning and enjoy pranks especially against "Big Folk". They believe themselves to be guardians of the forest and alongside pixies and sprites have rendered entire armies impotent. They can be found captive as pets and while this is quite reprehensible it is not, illegal and so has become quite common. Faeries can speak many languages including Galactic Common due to a magical ability. Faeries can also communicate meaningfully with animals of all kinds. They are known to be attracted to small shiny objects and have been known to hoard such items as treasure along with equally small useless items. |

Well, at least now I know I'm not being paranoid about someone trying to kill us but since there's nothing I can do I think I'll take a relaxing dip by the pool. The girls would love this place, as aesthetics go it's not bad a bit 21st century for me though. Spiderman said once the "Smackdown" began we couldn't call anyone in from the outside. Against the rules or some such. I keep the ship on a short leash though I wanna be able to bug out fast if I need to. As I head to the pool I spot She-Ra sunbathing and while she's still wearing her hero outfit, she's shed a few unwanted pieces so that she's down to basically a one piece bating suit. Her wet blond hair glistens in the sun and I can't help but pause to take in the sight.
With her eyes closed she knows I'm there and I almost blush from embarrassment.
"You, know it's not polite to stare."
She says with a smile.
"Yeah, well um."
I'm at a loss for words. Her baby blues pop open and I check the corners of my mouth to make sure I'm not drooling.
"Obsidian isn't it?"
"Yes. apologize for not having introduced myself properly before but I was-er-ah."
"Enraged that someone made an attempt on your life?"
"Yeah heh. Not one of my better moments."
"I'll say. They're still cleaning up the shark bits Ha ha!"
"I don't know what came over me, usually I don't panic like that. Then again I usually have the upper hand. Something around here interferes with my tech."
"So did you have something you wanted to discuss or were you just...taking in the sights?"
The last part of her sentence made my pointy little ears twitch...better those something else.
"I was wondering...Spiderman has been acting like a horny teenager lately and..."
"I know he wears a full mask but I can still feel him undressing me with his eyes."
"Well I know you can handle yourself -Magic powers and sword and what not- but if you need an alibi or..."
"A fake boyfriend?"
"Well, he and I have been friends for a while so if you need him to back off or if he just gets out of line I'm offering an alternative to the Hulk method of handling him."
"Who or what, is a Hulk?"
"Seriously?"
"What?"
"Oh princess you need to come with me."
I take her by the hand and we go to the theater and I load up the avengers movie...when the part comes where Loki gets the Hulk beatdown she positively screams out loud with laughter. Afterwards I make something for the two of us to eat...and we talk. Her dilemma with Hordak, how Skeletor ties in etc etc. Finally I make my move.
"So tell me princess is there someone special waiting at home?"
"That's a bit forward."
"It's been on my mind all day so I thought I'd ask."
"Hoping maybe YOU could fill that role if there wasn't?"
"I never said that. I'll admit the thought had crossed my mind though."
"I don't have time for relationships, it's always one battle after another and there's never a moment of just peace. I just have too many obligations. This event, right now, this is as close as I get to a vacation. I haven't visited my parents in years. So while I appreciate the attention I just can't. I hope you understand?"
"I do, and I think I know a way to change your mind princess. I'm gonna turn in but I'll see you tomorrow, sleep well."
With that i see her to her quarters and set about putting my plan into action. I know how to take care of obligations and endless battles.

The day off was something I really needed and I spent the majority of it getting to know my knew wives, biblicaly and intimately. Aini has settled into her place as more of a maid than my girlfriend...I'm not exactly happy with the arrangement but I can respect the ladies' position on the subject and besides Aini seems perfectly happy to accommodate them so it's a smooth transition. My first wife Ai is a bonified warrior princess and understands the art of war and her position on my ship outside of our relationship is simple...she's a combat expert and I have placed her in charge of security. I make my way to the bridge and call all the senior crew to the briefing room to discuss our situation. As the crew assembles I note that there is some concern about my new choice for chief of security.
"okay everyone, I know you're concerned about my having chose Ai for the position of chief of security, but I did not make the choice lightly. She has a great deal of experience with security with her her tribe and while she is not yet up to speed on our procedures Shadawar will be working closely with her to get her up to speed. That however, is not what I assembled everyone here to discuss. Our source of greatest concern is the closed Vortex that initially brought us here. We don't even know where here is or we could plot a our way home and it's entirely possible that we might be in a different dimension altogether, where the passage of time is not parallel to our own as we discovered when we encountered the Kryllian survivors."
"Our sensors haven't been able to locate the energy signature from the vortex but we are holding this position until we have ruled out it's reappearance." Shadawar adds.
"It is possible," Sabrina says while gesturing to a nearby computer screen, "That the vortex is being manipulated by an outside force. This energy spike just before it's disappearance would indicate that an immense amount of magical energy was expended."
Caewon replies, "There are spells that can close portal like the vortex, but not on that large of a scale. It would take divine power to force a vortex that size to close completely."
No sooner are those words spoken when the whole ship shudders.
"Wat the hell was that!?" I exclaim as I spring from my chair.
We all rush out onto the bridge to find the ships alarms going off and the image of what looks like and Aztec, (or some variation thereof) chieftain on the viewscreen.
"I am known to the people of this world as Gredienar, God of the people. You have taken my children from my world and this I cannot allow!"
The figure on the screen appears male with three eyes and an attitude. Great just great I'm not sure if this a real god or just some impostor but he's got enough power to close a vortex of cosmic proportions. let me explain how this whole "God" really works. First thee are guys like me who are immortal and to a primitive society the magic and technology I possess would make me "seem" to be a god. Then there are beings of phenomenal power and technology beyond anything ever seen and they would be like gods too. But true gods, do not exist in our dimension and instead use avatars or remote controlled bodies, to interact with mortals. These are true gods, and they are insanely powerful and come in four classes: Elder gods, who possess power over life and death and can basically kill you with a though and are nearly omniscient, Greater gods who can control the elements and weather and just make life miserable for whole continents, Lesser gods who can control aspects like luck or crops and still have magic more powerful than mortals, and finally Demigods who are most often mortals who have ascended to divine status or (more commonly) are the offspring between a mortal and a god. Elves are considered to be somewhat divine and the offspring of elves and gods are usually lesser gods. This guy looks like a Greater but only because my ship is still here and we're not all space debris.
"You will return the four you have taken and leave or I will destroy your vessel."
I'm not a fan of threats and I really don't like being accused of "Taking" anything that isn't mine. Just as I'm about to object to is accusation Ai kneels before his divineness and says
"Great one, this man did not take us, we have been mated to him in the name of peace."
"A false peace child, brought by deception and fear. This one has told your people he was a demon who would harm you if you did not make peace and give you four as his wife"
Hearing this I'm appalled, and completely insulted.
"Excuse me your worship but I did no such thing."
"You deny telling these people you were a demon-god?"
"I never said I was, they did. I only said I could destroy them and did not wish to."
"You did not clarify with my children this distinction?"
"No I didn't see the need."
"Even now below there are those that are worshiping you. You have stolen these worshipers from me and I will not permit this affront to continue. You will return these four and I will annul your mating, and you bow before me and tell my children that I am the one and true god of the people."
"Seriously? You must be out of your divine mind. I don't bow to any god and I won't make an exception now just beacuse you're butt hurt that your people have been exposed to new ideas. I'll make certain they stop worshiping me because I am no god, but kneel before you like my wife? Ha! it'll be a cold day in hell."
The ship shudders again and this time he actually damages it. Okay fine, no problem I know how to deal with this, he's not the first god to give me crap and he probably won't be the last. We'll settle this on the planet below.
"Okay your divineness, you win, I'll do as you bid, just don't hurt my ship and crew."
"A wise choice pretender."
the screen goes off and the ships remains still. I turn on a dime and head for the lift. these people who have trusted me thus far loook at me with concern...they have no idea how this is going to play out. I have had this dance before, three different times before, now there's no god of trickery, god of games, or god of festivals....and I'm about to Demonstrate how my sword got it's name. |

| The Stakahn Emirate along with the Sathari Empire and the Hadean Empire, were the instigators of the Millennium Wars. They spread death and destruction across 3 of the five galaxies. The Stakahn eventually withdrew from the war along with the Sathari leaving the Hadean Empire to suffer the brunt of sanctions a compensation. Additionally, the Hadeans were the only ones found to have broken intergalactic rules of conduct for treatment of prisoners of war making them guilty of war crimes. The Stakahn Emerate managed to escape from the war with few sanctions if any and have a tentative truce with the IGFW and it's allies. The Stakahn themselves are humanoid and roughly the same size and build as Solarans but have greater bone density and redundant organs. This makes them very tough opponents in combat. They enjoy being warriors and have a warrior's code which few seldom violate. |
