| Wonder Woman Cover Freshmutt DC Comics 2004/8/10 4:22 4842 6
Every so often I take a stab at the Wonder Woman costume. This time I used my wife, Jamie, as the model. All of the costume pieces were created from scratch in Photoshop. The background is from the Black Hawk Down game |

| Hulk Vs. Spiderman Jedifan227 Marvel Comics 2004/8/9 2:06 3487 4
This one took me longer than any other manip I have ever done. I ran across an old image of H vs. S, and I was inspired. So I began looking for the right poses, and of course the right setting. Althought thecrowd looks fairly calm in the background, imagine for a second that this fight just broke loose, and it has not dawned on everyone yet. Much like when someone is mugged in broad daylight. Hulk throws a vicious left at Spidey, just as he swings from above, knocking him backwards, as the behemoth charges at the camera. Can Spiderman save New York from the Incredible Hulk?? We wil just have to wait and see. ENJOY!!! |

| HM/C2F crossover "Mirror Image" by Dark Knight & B Dark_Knight_DK DC Comics 2004/8/8 22:00 6345 12
B's comments:
I started out suggesting doing Batman and Robin for this collaboration (following the vague "teamup" theme suggested by Max and Mike), but I think neither of us wanted to manip a guy... so we ended up doing the same character twice. Sort of. Here's Daniela Petrova as Stephanie Brown (aka Spoiler) and as Stephanie Brown (aka Robin).
I did Spoiler. The costuming was done the usual way, the metal I did using Dan Perceful's new tutorial at C2F, the cape and hood were done from scratch. This is just my second attempt at a cape... I think it's a bit better than the first was. The hood I based on that in a Rembrandt painting of a monk.
This was fun! DK's great to work with, and a damn good artist to boot. I think our ideas for the pic meshed together quite well. Here's to the next crossover!
Dark Knight's comments:
The most difficult part was to smudge the skin of the girl without loosing the details, because we choose a pic with a low quality, other than that It was fun creating the costume, I'm very pleased with the mask, and the background (that lighting effect looks pretty cool!!). And it was great working with B. |

| C2F/HM Crossover??? By Android Android Other Comics 2004/8/8 22:00 4295 11
Where is Lady Heromorph? Unfortunately Tazman did not make her in time. Well... my part is done.
Making of: Dennis Newman's head mixed with another two different bodybuilder's images. Earth found on Google and very manipulated. Lightning effects, nebulae and stars made by hand.
Description: A classic scene of Crisis on Infinite Earths (an enormous cliche). The two web sites, through a cosmic anomaly, touch themselves creating great catastrophe. Lady Heromorph and a second Earth would have to be located in the right side of this image.
Commentaries: I adored this competition but since the proposal was not reached I cannot participate of it (and android sits down and starts dreaming about a land where machines are free).

| HM-C2F Crossover by Dperceful & Brick Brick Marvel Comics 2004/8/8 21:58 3834 9
I had a great time with this crossover! Dan and I fell into the look and feel we wanted immediately. First we toyed with a vs. feel, it quickly gave way to the same look and feel, with the mood directed at the viewer and the hero's standing together as a team. I guess that pretty much sums up how the whole project went together. It was a truly collaborative effort, one I would mind doing again.

| C2F/Heromorph X-over: Poison Ivy & Harley Quin escape from Arkham By Juvenilemike and Winterhawk Winterhawk DC Comics 2004/8/8 21:58 4811 9
C2F/Heromorph Crossover event Entry: Working with Mike was really quite fun. I quite enjoyed the process. First we threw ideas back and forth until we came up with a similiar plan as this one. Originally we were planning on having Nightwing and Robin in the picture pearched on the edge of a building about to pounce on Ivy and Harley. then we searched for base pictures. After deciding on the Base pictures to be used we started to manip the characters. I did Ivy & Nightwing and Mike did Harley & Robin. When We finished the figures we talked back and forth about the final picture and decided to have Ivy and Harley escaping from Arkham. When Mike was putting the elements of the picture together he realized that Nightwing and Robin did not really fit into the picture anymore, so they were scrapped. Mike made all of the background elements then sent me the PSD I did some minor repositioning on the elements and a bit of trimming here and there and Voila. I sent it back to Mike, and We agreed that We were done. As for Ivy, I made her with standard Maniping techniques, nothing to special. |

If any superhero needed their own series to straighten out their story it would be Powergirl. Is she Krytonian or Atlantian? Has she regained her powers or not? No one can seem to agree. Someone at DC should do a definitive Powergirl story to clear things up. |

| Forgotten heroes Android TV and Movies 2004/8/8 8:31 4129 10
Originally these four illustrations had been produced separately so that I could distribute them among my RPG players. I am 31 years old and still adore this cartoon (yes. These characters were based on a cartoon).
One of the most complete examples that a good story added to a crew of excellent professionals can conceive one memorable and educational cartoon (for all ages).
I will not reveal the names of these characters. But I will give two tips: 20 years of aging and two people and one animal are missing here.
They've made a comic book with them so I am not cheating you, ladies and gentlemen.

| Avengers Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2004/8/6 17:37 5156 7
My first group shot. I made this in 2002.
I think the Avengers would make a great movie or TV series. Here's my casting:
Iron Man is a Horizon model (imagine Dylan McDermott inside); Wasp is Christina Ricci; Scarlet Witch is Paulina Porizkova; Captain America is Casper Van Dien; and She-Hulk is Gabrielle Reece.
Kang on the monitor is from Avengers 469 by Kieron Dwyer. |

| Jocasta Freshmutt Marvel Comics 2004/8/6 17:37 5469 13
Gifted with human feelings, yet cursed to be the bride of Ultron, tragic Jocasta craves the Avengers acceptance, though they can never fully trust her.
The main base is model Irina Voronina. The mirror-like finish was achieved by screening distorted pieces of an earlier manip onto her colorized skin. You may be able to pick out bits of your favorite Avengers in the reflections.
To see Jocasta's POV, check out my Avengers manip. |

But Since I have not submitted anything in a while and I just extended the deadline for the July Challenge I figured I would submit this one now. |

Here's another idea i've been kicking around for a while... these are my favorite three of all of Jean Grey's numerous costumes. | 1 hour Supergirl By Winterhawk Winterhawk DC Comics 2004/7/31 23:24 7083 9
Over at C2F, they had a challenge to do a manip in one hour. You had to include time for base model searching and any other prep work in your one hour time limit. For the full rules of this challenge you can find it here ( http://www.comics2film.com/UBB/Forum7/HTML/003168.html ). I thought that it was an interesting Idea so I took part. Normally, I work pretty fast but this one really had me rushed. I did this on thurdays evening just after diner. Here is a breakdown of how I spent my time. 6:20 started 6:21 had base picture & opened it in photoshop 6:35 Finished making skirt from scratch using dodge and burn on a solid colour. 6:38 Finished cleaning mess on hands and arms from skirt I made. 6:45 finished making blue shirt 6:50 finished internet search for "s" symbol 6:55 cut and pasted "s" symbol onto shirt 7:00 added in some details, drop shadows and a couple of wrinkle. 7:15 finished cape 7:17 clean up from cape. 7:18 added my "W" logo 7:19 croped picture and re-sized 7:20 saved optimized for web I was really surprised on what I could do in a single hour. It was fun. Some of you guys might want to try it, it was a good training exercise if nothing else. |

| "Just Call Me Misty" - Generation Next Angelophile Marvel Comics 2004/7/31 2:57 3127 5
Okay, obscure character time, but I couldn't resist when I saw the base pic as an advert for Game Boy Advanced. Vincente has always been a favorite of mine that was criminally underused. He was in the 4 issues of the Age of Apocalypse based Generation Next, then vanished from the radar. This version has the young Jeremy Irons cast in the role. Dunno why but he seemed to suit.
A real quicky this one, taking an hour or so rather than a month or so that it seems to have taken me recently. ;) |

| Black Widow6 by batmic BatMic Marvel Comics 2004/7/29 9:52 7086 12
certainly not the best of the bunch but i love the expression on her face. this took some time to do, mainly just figuring out how open the suit should be cos i wanted her to look like she was almost bursting out. the zipper wasn't as difficult as i thought it would be and i think it turned out okay. at some point i should redo the earlier ones as they already look quite primitive by comparison. anyway i hope you like it, i have more on the way. |
