I'm illustrating two issues of EXPOSURE for Keenspot.com, the first of which launches in less than two weeks. The story is called NIGHT OF THE LIVING DAD!, which I think is pretty amusing.
In the tale, a father with heaps and piles of responsibilities, dies -- but his family needs him so much, he continues his routine after he's passed away...and nobody notices the difference!
I wanted to start the story off with something pretty normal: A father looking in on his sleeping child to make sure she's OK. But I wanted it to be sexy, scary, and a little bit creepy, all at once.
Art is by yours truly, with color by Katrina Mae Hao.

I have been browsing around and still getting to visit the site here or there. But because of getting so slammed with work I haven?t really had time to do anything, between software, and upgrades to web development. So I know I haven?t posted in a while. But since things are kind of slowing down now, figured I?d get started back into things here, and brushing up. So I started with something familiar, Supergirl. I don?t think it turned out too bad, I used the new 52 version. With the exception of the yellow on the cape, I don?t really like the yellow there, so I left it off. For now having done anything for a while I don?t think that it really came out too bad here. Did make some mistakes while working on things, but sure it will get better. And I will try to continue to post more often. Thanks for those who look or comment, greatly appreciated. The model is Photodromm?s Orsi. Of course Supergirl belongs to DC Comics. Artwork is from me.  |

A remake of the old one for the holidays = Based originally on the advertisement piece in old 1970's to 1980s comics of subscriptions Remade in Photoshop removing all line art, and adding a real backdrop

Bound with her own lasso and secured to a buoy, the unconscious Amazon is oblivious to her fate, as the two villainesses watch with much self-satisfaction and smug gloating as the buoy, and its unwilling cargo drift out of sight on the strong current.

Was looking for something different to draw last weekend so went back into the Outcast Archived challenges again and pulled out this one http://outcaststudios.com/forums/index.php/topic/10885-weekend-staffers-challenge-mr-mrs-outcast/
The challenge: If Outcast Studios were to host a happily married super heroic tandem in action... what would they look like??? What powers would they have?
The only guideline here is that they're a male and female couple each bearing the Outcast Studios logo letters "OS" is some way or fashion. Showing their powers in use is a plus. Designing their super powered pet is entirely optional!

I visited Outcast and saw that yesterday's theme was to do a poster for a James Bond movie. http://outcaststudios.com/forums/index.php/topic/11353-daily-sketch-challenge-james-bond-007/ Given that Sean Connery is still my favourite Bond (although Daniel Craig is growing on me quickly in the role) and I have seen Dr No more times than I can remember I thought I would do something in the form of a playing card - the Jack of Hearts to be precises. I think this is fitting since Bond is a big fan of cards (bacarrat) and they is a bit of a jack the lad, breaking womens hearts wherever he goes. Also the two heads flipped makes an interesting design i think. This took about 2 hours to do. Over this challenges 90mins but was enjoying it.

| First, a pair of D&D characters. I have a character the costumer play in a D&D game who is necromancer wizard. The concept is a little on the creepy side but the execution is a little more 'Adams Family' and Bela Lugosi than it is true horror. His spellbook is possessed by the spirit of his dead mother and as a result, I call it the NecroMOMicon. Kind of a joke. His girlfriend, by contrast, is the opposite. Cheery, naive, and a devoted follower of good gods. |
