I belong to a yahoo group for Firestar and we're having a what if fiction challenge. What if Firestar never left the Hellions?
I took the basic Hellion costume as a guide. But I hated the boots and gloves. I also know redheads, as a law, should never be forced to wear pink, so I changed it too.
Instead of doing her usual mask, I changed it to be a little less detailed. Almost went Keystone Cops...
I've been trying to work on how my costumes work, so I know that little flame is retarted. Any hints with how to make great looking flame I'd appreciate! |

So, I wanted to do an Animal Man pic, cause there just aren't that many around. But I just couldn't get it to look right... the arm, that was the problem. It looked mummified and I just couldn't fix the damn thing! So, I got frustrated and erased the pic. Sorry.

Oldie alert! This is about a year old, it's not a recent pic at all.
I was posting some stuff over at Bold and came across a few pics I never posted here. And I figured, what the heck, why not post them here too?
This is "Mr. Stock Photography" as Grant Morrison's Animal Man. The body is entirely from scratch, based on photo reference. The background is a Bryce (3D program) wireframe. The pencil is a from-scratch Bryce model. The arm is *supposed* to be too small. That's why the pic's being erased, yeah? Anything else is a genuine screw up and is fair game for criticism. |

My fourth Endless pic: Desire, the anthropomorphic representation of love (and of hate).
The model was rome random smoking chick. The eyes are frankensteined in, the model's were closed. The lighter's mostly from scratch, ditto the flame. The backgrounds a microscope slide of lung cells. It was supposed to be heart cells, but this looked better. The text is from _Sandman_ #21. |

Superman flies high above NYC to place an American Flag atop the newly constructed WTC building. In a brillant display of emotion, Superman carries a flag, retrived and restored from the original Twin Towers, and proudly takes it to its perch above the city. The crowds cheer as their hero marks a new day for America.
This was a rather hard one to do, but I think it came out alright. The base was small, and I really had to stretch my limits to get the result I wanted. I came up with the theme, simply from the pose. I thought to myself that this would be a very emotional picture. It is inspiring, even without seeing the new towers themselves. God Bless America!!
