| Electric Superman Jedifan227 DC Comics 2004/10/9 0:40 4073 5
I think everyone has seen the original to this manip, drawn for the old "Superman Reborn" series, or whatever it was called. But I have had this concept in my head for a while now, and finally decided to give it a try. I used a weight lifter's body, and actor Tom Jane's,(The Punisher),head. I think overall it is okay, but I got tired of tweaking it. So, this is it. ENJOY! |

| Powergirl Issue #7 ???????? Crisis of Infinite Powergirls! R_o_c_i_n_a_t_e DC Comics 2004/10/5 11:52 6870 9
With this cover I wanted to toy around with different versions of her costumes, so I came up with the ???????infinite crisis???????? concept. This also allowed me to case some different women in the roles.
Front and center is the highly unpopular costume she had after the yellow/white version. I made some changes to the costume, gave her long hair and now I actually kinda like it.
The Supergirl version on the right is totally fictitious, but I couldn????????t help myself. I got sick of all the blonde hair so I made it red/pink so that the hair wouldn????????t be so repetitious.
The one on the left is a big departure. I thought I mix it up by casting an Asian woman as PG. The costume is sort of like her yellow/white JLE one but with some changes to the boots gloves and peephole.

| Wonder Girl by Heroglyph Heroglyph DC Comics 2004/10/3 21:31 13096 12
The latest incarnation of Wonder Girl from Young Justice and the Teen Titans. Does anyone know how she went from the goggle waering, slightly geeky girl to the current blonde bombshell? I'm out of the loop on her recent history. At any rate, enjoy. |

Well, I think I made some progress in my artwork this weekend. This is the first in a series of pin-up style images I plan to do. (Not really the "first", 'cause it was inspired by my Harlequinn pic) I'm focusing on DC heroines for now. Any suggestions? Thanks to all the great artists here who I have learned from, and am inspired by constantly! Peace! -Leif.
Art notes: Body, hair, and ground done in poser (hair by Kozaburo) all else in photoshop. |

| The other avengers for the 21st Century... QuantumFX Marvel Comics 2004/9/29 15:59 6764 11
This piece was inspired by a Wizard Magazine casting call. (With a few additions.) Working from the foreground we have Lucy Liu as the Wasp, Tom Jane as Captian America, Viggo Mortensen as Thor, George Clooney as Iron Man, Asia Argento as the Black Widow, Vin Diesel as Hawkeye, and Matthew McConaughey as Giant Man. "How'd you do that's" will be answered as they come because each character is it's own thread. |

| Powergirl Issue #6 - ...Could the world survive without her? R_o_c_i_n_a_t_e DC Comics 2004/9/27 8:29 6111 11
I thought I'd mix it up a bit to and have this cover set in space. The ominous red space shows that there is something wrong occurring.
I know that people don't like this version of her costume (white/yellow JLE one), but I think this looks pretty cool. Of course I used Charlie O'Neale as the model again; I just love her facial expressions!

| Masters of Evil Repost Kallisti Marvel Comics 2004/9/26 11:19 3626 2
I adjusted the Gamma settings on my monitor not long ago, and afterwards i noticed that several of my posted works didn't look quite right anymore. Since when i originally posted this piece, it was mentioned that it might be nominated for a Heromorph award, i figured i'd go back and touch it up a bit. I don't know if any moderators want to go through the trouble of replacing this image with the original one or not, but i'd like to make sure this is the version that gets voted on, should it be nominated. Enjoy. |

| Batgirl -- Down and Out thanatos DC Comics 2004/9/24 16:03 7866 5
The biggest problem here is the unlikely situation. Batgirl could kick ANYONE'S ass. Anyone's. This is a monip i did for Wizard. I didn't know weather i should post this in the adult section or not, but there are no naughty bits showing, so no angry letters please, kids. :) |

| Wolverine Ultra Jedifan227 Marvel Comics 2004/9/24 1:09 3441 4
This is the latest in my X-Men Ultra series. I looked long and hard for a base to match my artistic vision of Wolverine. I wanted it dark and scary, but keeping the classic costume. I tried this approach before with an earlier pic...but I love the way this one turned out. I hope you do as well. ENJOY! |

| Isis by Heroglyph Heroglyph TV and Movies 2004/9/22 10:24 10657 8
Here's a modern day take on Isis. She, along with Captain Marvel, had their own live action Saturday morning TV show back in the 70's. She also appeared in an animated form on a show called Freedom Force, as well as having a short lived DC comic.
Origin: A young science teacher, Andrea Thomas, found a magical amulet while on an archaeological dig. She learned she was heir to the "Secrets of Isis." By bearing a necklace that held the amulet, and calling out the phrase "OH MIGHTY ISIS," Andrea was transformed into Isis.
As Isis, she could "soar as the falcon soars, run with the speed of gazelles, and command all the elements of sky and earth." In order to invoke her powers, she had to recite incantations. Her most famous incantation - "Oh zephyr winds which blow on high, lift me now so I can fly" - assisted her in taking flight. She also had control of animals, fire, water, etc. |

But for now, enjoy some communist russia style action! |

| Lion-O Android TV and Movies 2004/9/16 14:12 6149 12
1. Source: Ronnie Coleman's body and Achim Albrecht's head.
2. Making of: If you are a Thundercats fan, you'll know that this uniform is a little diferent from the original. Let me tell you something: I hate that useless hole in his belly. Textures applied: leather. Hair: true lion hair mixed with woman hair. Lightning: Air brush with glass and screen effects.
Note 01: of all Thundercats that I made, Lion-O is the worst work in my opinion, unfortunately. He has no attitude... He's frozen! Poor composition. It's difficult to find decent images. |

1. Source: Joe de Angelis from http://www.joedeangelis.com/gallery2.htm
2. Making of: The same old speech, ladies and gentlemen. The only thing is worthy to say about would be the metal parts on his body. They were made manually and I mixed them with some effects and two textures: stones and metal.
Note: I like this Tygra. The image shows an introspective knight. It reflects perfectly his personality. |

| Gallery of the Endless: Despair B DC Comics 2004/9/12 23:07 3936 2
My third Endless Gallery picture: Despair, the queen of, erm, despair. Yes, she's a she. No, you can't tell. With that face, how could you? As to my method, I just did a quickie sketch of her and worked it over a bit to get my usual digital painting look. This included colouring, adding details like warts and blotches, and some skin texture. The background is entirely from scratch. The web took just ages... and now 90% of it is obscured. :p This was a real quick one, I don't think I spent much more than about 12 hrs on it. For an idea of how much I added in "post-production", you can find (a smaller version of) my original sketch at http://www.site.uottawa.ca/~zek/art/base.jpg. |
