| Influence Maps Too: DrunkenDragon's under the influence drunkendragon Monthly and other challenges 2018/6/16 16:48 1415 3
Decided to use basic format, but progressive influences, and a wink to Hanna Barbera, who helped shape my sometimes warped sense of humor. First row is the TV cartoon influences that inspired my love of comics and Super Heroes. Second shows the major comics, and specific issues that I have that influenced my original drawing and theme styling. Third row depicts the major artists that influenced my design style, and Last row shows my all time favorite artist for humor and exaggerated realism Norman Rockwell, also seen in the background image. As well as a nod to the two artists that drew my attention to HeroMorph in the first place, and whose work I tried to duplicate when I first began manipulating. Many others here have helped me develop since then, too, which is why I keep checking in to see what greatness shows up here daily! |

| X-Men good v EVIL 2 drunkendragon Marvel Comics 2019/10/27 23:31 1617 2
So, basically I was going to re-create the opening sequence of the 90’s animated X-Men series as seen in the end of the Video opening (see part one for link) Thus you get the good vs. the bad: Cyclops vs. Avalanche, Wolverine vs. Sabretooth, Rogue vs. Mystique, Gambit vs. Pyro, Storm vs. Gargoyle, Jubilee vs. Juggernaut & Professor X vs. Magneto But I didn’t like all the villains. So I changed it, trying to keep characters and their nemeses from the cartoon. Now it’s: Cyclops vs. Mr. Sinister, Wolverine vs. Sabretooth, Rogue vs. Mystique, Gambit vs. Bella Donna, Storm vs Callisto, Jubilee vs. Juggernaut & Professor X vs. Magneto Then I added Jean Grey vs. Archangel (not really nemeses, but cool characters to add in here) And then I had to throw in Apocalypse. |

So, basically I was going to re-create the opening sequence of the 90’s animated X-Men series as seen in the end of the Video here: X Men Opening Theme Thus you get the good vs. the bad: Cyclops vs. Avalanche, Wolverine vs. Sabretooth, Rogue vs. Mystique, Gambit vs. Pyro, Storm vs. Gargoyle, Jubilee vs. Juggernaut & Professor X vs. Magneto But I didn’t like all the villains. | BB-H8 drunkendragon TV and Movies 2018/1/23 18:37 1655 4
I saw “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” a little while back, but had been too busy to do this piece until now. I generally stay away from reviews & criticism…and I now this is a bit late…BUT… **SPOILERS Ahead** If you haven’t seen the Star Wars movies…read the rest later. Go see the original 3 first. Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi, in that order. If you’ve seen The Force Awakens, but not those three, don’t fret because you caught the replay. *********** Why the title? A long, long time ago (or maybe more recently) in a galaxy far, far away… This little orange droid showed up with a strange tale…let’s see if I get this right… A small droid claiming to have been entrusted with a message of the utmost importance to a woman named Leia talks of being sent on a secret mission involving crash landing on a desert planet where, along with C3PO, he joined an orphan teen and found passage aboard the Falcon with a Wookie named Chewy. Along the way, he witnessed the search for a reclusive old Jedi Master hiding from the world, a rebel attempt to infiltrate and destroy a massive planetary weapon that “kills stars”, a tiny little alien creature with great knowledge and wisdom, the inexperienced orphan fighting and beating the veteran dark side fighter dressed in black, and a father killed by a son after an unlikely yet obvious relationship among characters was revealed… It was at this point in his story that he lost his audience. The little droid named R2 stepped forward and said: ”Beep Boop Beep Beep Bop…Eep Opp Ork Ah Ah” Which the protocol droid translated to mean: “Been there, done that…” and “get an original story you little ball of repetition.” ************* Credits and comments inside…read if you want, but be warned…more spoilage inside or just enjoy the pic… |

| Color Me Jinky: Cute as a Button drunkendragon Monthly and other challenges 2017/3/30 21:09 1872 3
Since I tought, and still think, this is a most excellent contest challenge...I MADE time for this challenge. Now, truth be told, I haven't near the talent as other colorists, especially like Katrina Mae Hao, the one who finalized the original seen here CUTE AS A BUTTON into this version here CUTE AS A BUTTON FINAL But I thought this was the perfect pic to summarize the whole School Girl Jinky persona from the comic story line. Slightly coy and cute, over "exposure" to tease, yet still in a school setting to remind us misguided youths to keep to our studies. Okay, I made that last part up - especially the part about my being a "youth." 'Nuff said...Here ya go. |

| GODFALL part 2: the WOMEN Win drunkendragon Original Characters 2014/9/30 18:43 2016 7
Side note...Tartaninja makes an appearance here, though not in part 1, and a mysterious absence of Winterhawk?
Easily explained, folks...note the sign on the wall. Clearly the Tart was "occupied" whilst Winterhawk announced the dancer. And now, WH had to go... As for his outfit being retro...well, Tart's new avatar suit was being cleaned, but accidentally got delivered to Daffy Duck when it was done. (watch more cartoons , folks, it's a real episode reference) And a missed credit from part 1... The McDeath Cheap Vodka is CLEARLY a rip off of the fabulous MsV's work. So props to her for that idea. PS, that's Jr's liver being blown out his back. Moral of the story...Don't tick off DrunkenDragon, or he'll have his bevy of babes butcher ya! |
