Well, as we all know, the coolest of the Spider-clan outfits was always the black one. May had hers too. This is the recreation of issue 77, where she dons her black costume with a real sexiness.
This was a real hard one to do, since it is mostly black. Working in all black conditions is rather difficult, but extremely effective, once the image is completed. I had fun doing this one, but it was hard. The pose was taken from a base I used on a previous Supergirl manip. I just flipped backwards, and started painting. As far as the logo being a tad blurry, try finding a Spidergirl logo on the web larger than 200 pixels. I enlarged it the best I could. Anyways...ENJOY!!!! |

| This one almost didn't happen. I couldn't think of what I wanted to do for weeks, and then when I finally came up with an idea I read the thread about bandwidth. Jeez talk about working under pressure. This manip took longer than I expected mainly because I didn't pre-design her. I just put it together on the fly. I know there are a few flaws here and there but considering the circumstances I'll accept your bashing like a champ! Comments about her listed below! Enjoy! |

Granted I have ommitted a background which would have made this piece DEGREES better.but whatever. I like it this way and plan on putting this design on a T-shirt for my own personal use and maybe a few for some local friends. |

The base pic was a girl jumping, the face is Dido (not cause I'm an especial fan, but because I wanted to use a singer to get this kind of expression, and she was the only one I could think of who looked even remotely right for the character). | i wanted to try out a different batgirl costume, the old one was to batman-ish... removed the cape too as it served no practical purpose (plus i 'm having a hard time drawing capes), a hot blonde girl in a bat-suit hardly strikes fear in the hearts of criminals, so i tried to give her a tough-chick look that's fit for the mean streets of Gotham. |

I havent done a SG manip in a while, and I missed doing them. This one took me longer than any other. I first started with the base and spent extra attention to detail on the costume, adding textures,etc. Then I had to find an aerial shot of clouds that had the right light source. This was not easy, to say the least. Then once they were merged together, I was really shocked at how well it turned out. Unless my eyes are just really tired, I cant tell that this isnt real. Can you?
