| Many worlds have certain bans on select types of technology firearms, vehicles, and mecha, as well as aircraft, are often the most common contraband. On those rare occasions Obsidian has been known to comply with local authorities (Who are most often IGFW or worse yet Deities) and uses less conventional means of travel such as this Cyber-Horse. The steed itself, weighing in at 1200 lbs boasts some of the greatest firepower in his arsenal capable of obliterating entire cities (Which can be removed and stored) The horse also boasts a holographic matrix which can disguise it as any native 4 legged steed. The horse can run at speeds in excess of 265 mph and leap nearly 150 yards in a single bound. It cannot fly though it can use a limited boost leap vertically nearly 200 yards. As non-conventional construct the steed cannot be damaged by conventional weapons. It possesses a scanning package that allows it to be used to extend a small scanner's range by a factor of 10. The steed is capable of fighting independent of it's rider and can do considerable damage (like be attacked by a pair of wrecking balls. Obsidian's steed can pulverize non-conventional armored vehicles like paper. As implied it has organic components in the inner frame, a horse's brain or at least parts of one, Obsidian say this feature is critical to give his steed a measure of unpredictability, instinctiveness, and loyalty you just can't get in an AI the horse's brain is augmented by an advanced AI which allows the steed to communicate effectively with Obsidian...His steed's name incidentally is Onyx. |

| The Namae are thought to believe some offshoot of elf though they lack the pointed ears and extended life spans. They have the same large eyes and facial characteristics common to elves but are otherwise almost identical internally at least, to Solarans. One in every 2,000 Namae have some form of superpower although those with such powers do not tend to live very long as single combat to the death is quite commonplace in their society. Therefore most of the population with superpowers tend to be Teenagers. Their society is one that has embraced technology, Magic, and Martial arts as perfectly as one society can. In most respects day to day life is very similar to the Oni species or the Japanese of ancient Earth. Their government is constantly try to cultivate exceptional members of their society and to that end have created dozens of specialized schools which focus on very specific abilities within a school curriculum. The scientific advancements of the Namae are unparalleled and they excel in combat technologies leading the intergalactic markets in the development and sale of advanced war machines and Mecha. While they have the ability to develop FTL technology there has been little progress due to constant civil wars and various conflicts. Cybernetics are quite common and many of their citizens are Full Body replacement Cyborgs while many other (nearly 12%) are partial replacement recipients. There are in fact whole military and police sections whose members are cyborgs. Cybernetics and internet technologies are incredibly advanced on the Namae world though their technologies are not usually compatible with the Intergalactic Standards and require adapters or translation matrices. For off worlders the Namae home-world is treasure trove of possibilities and often great danger. What few technologies have left their world are often massive ships housing entire cities within and the Namae are quite proud of them. Their greatest achievement to date is the development of Space-Fold technology although their version is still in it's infancy and doesn't work with the same degree of accuracy and precision as IGFW Military vessels they can still travel vast distances within a Space-Fold bubble as opposed to the Space-fold Gates created by IGFW ships. These bubbles can be harmful to surrounding matter since anything caught within the bubble will be transported along with the vessel. |

Well, she’s not going to take this lying down! That purple-clad home wrecker was going to pay! When Sparrowhawke gets through with her she’ll regret ever stepping out with her man!

| The Hathhiss are a race of evolved serpents, bipedal serpents. They excell in psionics and magic and comprise a fifth of the Psi-Mage populace. they are much stronger than there size or dimensions would appear. They are also incredibly tall and max out at approximately 8 feet tall. Like all reptiles and serpents they become lethargic in cold temperatures and can die in temperatures just above freezing. their home planet is quite hot and arid and full of life. It is rumore (Totally true actually) that Hathhiss cannot eat cold food preferring to digest only warm (often living) food. Their bite as one might imagine is poisonous however, due to their large size it isn't lethal in and of itself and only causes nausea and unconsciousness. |

| Dakalfar like all of the Elven species are long lived and can trace their ancestry back thousands of years. Their Black skin makes them stand out among alien species in that no other species possesses this trait leading most scholars and scientists to believe that the characteristic may be rooted in magic rather than genetics. Like most Elves the Dakalfar are well suited to spellcasting, unlike their cousins however they are also predisposed to Psionics so it is no surprise that they comprise nearly 20 percent of all Psi-Mages on record. Natural abilities of Dakalfar are as follows: Nightvision (they see as well in darkness as most creatures do in broad daylight), Enhanced hearing (the ears of elves are not just for show), Enhanced Strength (all Dakalfar possess some level of superhuman strength ), Enhanced Agility (Like all elves the Dakalfar are exceptionally agile and lithe). Dakalfar possess technology equal to the Intergalactic standard their magical capabilities are equal to those of any Elven race and superior to most sentient species. Dakalfar have no known enemies but do not associate with other elves...it is believed that there was some sort of falling out among other elves but no Elf will speak of it. Dakalfar get along well with Solarans (humans) and can often be found in their company. Edit: Reshot entire scene for a better look. I'm resubmitting this as only the thumbnail changed. Lord Beast was a creation of a dear an lifelong friend of mine and while I drew this character for him some years ago he recently said that he would like to see it in 3d.So here it is complete with the character's wife (inspired by a video game).
For anyone interested I do take commissions and I accept nearly any challenge...if you can think it up I can render it...soon I'll be able to animate it too. |

| As noted with their individual descriptions Griffins and hippogriffs despise one another to the point where they'll attack each other on sight (and they can see for miles). There have been many specualtions for this animosity but none quite fit, it is true that they resemble predator and prey, but when you consider that they seek each other out it doesn't quite fit. One scholar suggested that it may be a matter of competition but even when competing for food they will stop hunting to fight...the best explanation is possibly that they originated as some form of magically created hybrid and that the magics used in their separate creations somehow cause this animosity as a form of compulsion. In any case no one knows for sure but many have witnessed this hatred first hand. |

| I have posted an image of a griffin before but this time I have a new lighting setup. Of course griffins are commonly used as mounts and although synthetic versions are cheaper and more easily recovered from injuries. Additionally synthetic versions have many advantages over living griffins being machines as they are. Griffins hate hippogriffs and hippogriffs hate griffins, this hatred is unheard of among non-sentient species and is profound when you consider that even when mounted they will attack one another on sight ignoring any commands and attempts by their riders who may be injured in the fight. Griffins and hippogriffs make no distinction between living and synthetic versions attack either with equal fervor and zeal. Why then would anyone want to ride a Griffin? They are loyal beyond words and very nearly sentient making them unparalleled for use as a mount and companion. |

| Not all red-skinned winged creatures are evil denizens of the abyss. The Archane are one such example benevolent and kind, defenders of the weak they act as guardians and enforcers of the Gods of light. They are powerful warriors and equally powerful wielders of magic. They like all scions are imbued with their masters power and are an investment of divine energies...few enemies can even hope to survive an encounter with these mighty beings. Archane have no names and those that do have earned them through heroic deeds (Considering their power heroic is saying something). There are no Archane females and as divine creations there are no younglings, they have been known to fall in love with mortals and have cross bred with them on even rarer occasions. Archane are immortal and also divine and as such are immune to weapons of level 2 or less. Mortal weapons even those as powerful as nuclear or anti-matter simply have no effect on them and serve only to enrage them. Conventional and non-conventional damage weapons are simply useless. So powerful are Archane that they have been known to destroy small fleets of Starships singlehandedly and at least one documented Archane is responsible for wiping out an invading force of 150,000 men in just under an hour. One survivor of an encounter with n Archane put it simply...."If you see one of these guys, and he's not on your side, run...just run." |

Here we have my bio for "Emperor Darkfire," supreme monarch of the Xel Empire. This bio introduces not only the character, but some new information about the structure of the Coolstar Universe as a whole and where the Xels fit into it. It is mentioned above that the planet Xel and its subsequent empire exists in what is known as the "Primoris Region" of the Milky Way Galaxy, this is because I have decided to divide our galaxy up into five sections and name them in Latin as such, thus: Primoris, Altera, Trientis, Quartanna, and Quintum. (The Earth is also in the Primoris Region). So, you'll probably be hearing those terms from me a lot in the future and if I can ever get a workable chart done up with where all of these planets and places fit within the galaxy, I will do so as well.

| Hatari (Violet)and Getraili (Blue) civilization is unusual in that where most space faring species come from unified worlds, they do not. The two species are at odds as the Hatari believe the Getraili to be inferior and treat them as second class citizens. Getraili have limited rights in Hatari systems and many have left their homeworld to find a life of acceptance within the IGFW. Relationships between the two are strictly forbidden, punishable by exile./ There are no male Hatari or Getraili and the species much the Ailoo can and often to breed with other viable humanoid species. Children born of Hatari and Getraili pairings are shunned in Hatari society and often bullied and ridiculed. Both Hatari and gatraili normally reproduce through a mental bonding as well as physical. Both species are hermaphroditic possessing both male and female organ though only one is prevalent at a time during mating. This particular feature has put off many off worlders who simply cannot fathom having two sets of opposing reproductive organs. It is possible for two mated Hatari or Getraili to become pregnant at the same time and it happens quite often but requires both partners to switch organs back and forth. This type of conception is frowned upon as it nearly lead to a massive overpopulation until Hatari started colonizing other worlds, still it is not considered wise as both partners suffer many handicaps as any woman during pregnancy. |

| many worlds exist where magic has replaced technology in nearly every facet of day to day life and beyond. Such worlds offer magical items ta low prices and nearly flooded commercial markets. The IGFW was lobbied by several conglomerates to restrict such sales stating an inability to compete with items that last nearly forever. Of course this is not exactly true and most magical items have a limited number of uses (making them easier to create) and are expensive to recharge (unless one is a mage). Many laws were passed governing the export and sales of magical items but still many individual purchases continue. |
