PageTake_01: Hi everyone! On this post I wanted to put a few things together:) just to give you an Idea as to what the results will look like. Now being I have to compress the pages to 500kbs and holding res and clarity, that's a process on its own. I'm also starting to play with flow and placement of the panels, This is where I'm lacking I know. I can see where the editor comes to play, also a script would help a bunch:) Anyway I know this isn't the best page, but I am working on this stage of the process so that is a step in the right direction:) I'm also thinking that posting the panels separate and then the page might show that there is detail going into these, I hope you like the results. | I was playing around with indirect lighting in Poser to see if there was a big enough difference to make it worth using. This is the result. Verdict: NOT WORTH THE WAIT! It took a full 24 hours just to precalculate the indirect lighting, and then another 12 hours to actually render; and it looks NO DIFFERENT than if I'd just used normal lighting. Won't be going through that again. Still, comments are welcome. |

This is based on an idea a friend of mine had. He wrote a script for the comic, hired an artist, and asked me to do the colors. Typical zombie apocalypse story, but the main character was based on his girlfriend at the time. She loves both zombies and comic books and this was meant to be a gift for her. Sadly, she ended it with him before the artist (who backed out of the project shortly before) could even draw the first page. I still liked the concept, though, and I have yet to do a horror style image, so here it is. Comments are encouraged, especially since this is my first foray into horror.
One thing I am aware of is the absence of any shadows created by the figures in the image. This was just because I rendered each detail as a seperate layer and patched them together in photoshop and I couldn't quite get the shadows to work right. I did try to arrange them in a way that keeps you from noticing unless you're looking really closely, though |

They have been described as many things:
Savage beasts that talk.
Marauding horde.
Fodder for the dark lord.
Proud and noble warrior. (by themselves at least)
Regardless the orcs are a complex society. They can be brutal, unruly, crafty, yet can be honorable in their own way. Perhaps it?s their occasional elegance to the dark forces that maligns them in the eyes of other races. But is this viewpoint warranted? Are the orcs TRULY evil? Or are they just misunderstood? Can human, elf or dwarf learn to live with the orc in a peaceful coexistence?
Whether they?re vile slaves to evil or just rowdy warriors who love good fight, if you spy an orc raiding party coming over the horizon you may want to go over the next one?. |

I Drunken-ized a little, with inspiration from classic themes.

Ladycrawler's skin texture is the "Deception for V4" from damageinc3d.net
Bodysuit textures are my humble creations.
BAMFs are all Scare Bears from netherworks-studios.com, body textures by me.
Deadpool is M4 with body MAT of my own tribute to classic Deapool costumes.
Mask is the amazing mask by ice-boy from renderosity. (Cool Spidey body texture and boots in his set, too...see previous post on this page by isi for an awesome view)
All characters are based off of Marvel Comics characters.
Any likenesses to actual persons you may find simply means you watch WAYYYY too many cartoons,
and should get out more...real people don't look like this. |
