| Draw Off -done right by you: Namor! (by DM711) Divine_Monkey711 Marvel Comics 2006/6/3 5:45 2448 7
This is my entry for the 'Draw Off - done right by you' challenge. It's my vision of Namor from marvel Comics. I always hated those silly wings on his feet, so I gave him a more aquatic look. His costume is inspired by a swimmers oufit, and acient greek armor. The symbol on his belt is an 'aleph' (ancient version of the letter 'A') which was developed from a simplified picture of a bull's head. In Atlantis (where Namor is from) they worshipped bulls. And it starts with the letter 'A'... so I thought it fitted him. And the hair and beard is also inspired from ancient greece. Phew... |

During World War II a the Nazi scientists created a cyborg of sorts to combat America's super soldier Captain America. But the man they used for the job had been listed incorrectly as a dead german soldier, it was really the secret love of the female german scientist. Tony Stark an american soldier who fell in love with a german woman.
But being an american himself, Tony retained his soul and everything that he was and wouldn't fight for the nazis or against Captain America. Only after defeating the nazis who made him did he finally see what he had become, an echo of Frankenstein's monster. |
