Preston Jones was a sick little boy
He looked at blades and thought them a toy
His father was first, a knife in his back
His mother soon followed, eyes full of tacks
His sister and brother were next on the list
Hacked to pieces, he swallowed the bits
Away he ran into the darkness of Queens
A bloody trail followed to show where he'd been.
The body count grew, the police were perplexed
With each corpse, the city grew vexed.
They found him, they found him, one bright sunny day
Asleep with a victim who he kept to play.
They beat him and shot him and yet he survived.
He animated his victim to the policeman's surprise.
He made his escape wounded and bleeding.
He's been trapped many times, stabbed and lynched
He has always escaped, with the dead following him.
Notes: I wanted to have this done for Halloween, but life got in the way. Moral Decay was a character I used when I played City of Villains.

| Conifer Locke, The Nightwalker

Conifer Locke is a member of an elite, ancient and secret order. The Order Of The Iron Tigers dates back to the high adventure days when Lady Wildfire founded the monster hunting free company. A tight knit band of highly experienced and capable mercenaries that specialized in slaying monsters of all kinds. If your village, caravan or kingdom was having monster trouble, the Iron Tigers were the ones to call. Through the ages the Iron Tigers passed on the art and 'calling' of monster slaying in the form of a secret order. Surviving descendants of the original Iron Tigers were given a very special education, which included combat training from age six. And the knowledge to destroy a wide variety of creatures. When Conifer was born, her parents had a choice, to raise her as a normal girl, or risk her death and put her through the Iron Tigers' crucible; a dangerous ritual that imbued the child with magical gifts. They made their choice, and their baby girl was among the twenty five percentile that survived the ritual. It was a most difficult decision but based on the growing occurrences of supernatural activity and creatures, they took the gamble with white knuckled prayers. Now, after the crucible, their child had greater than normal strength and reflexes, was extremely resistant to harmful magic, enhanced eyesight that allowed her to 'see' a being's true nature, and the ability to see in the dark. The ritual also made her immune to becoming, or turning into 'something else'; such as a vampire, zombie, lycanthrope,etc. Surviving the ritual earned her the title, 'Nightwalker'; this afforded her great honor and rank within the order. She is one of twenty three Nightwalkers that have exsisted in the last hundred years. Conifer never attended a school, but by the time she was twelve she could speak, read and write five languages, including archaic Latin, and she had the equivalent skills of a blackbelt in both taekwondo and Aikido. By sixteen she had mastered many weapons, both modern and old world. At twenty one she was well on her way to matching her father's kills, and joining the handful of Iron Tigers who's names were written in the Book of Legends. Her weapons include a 9mm with a twenty round clip, loaded with silver jacketed hollow-points filled with mercury, a gun that shoots holy water darts, and a lignum vitae bo staff/cross that's perfect for staking vamps; just to name a few of the many weapons at her disposal.
Her contacts set up a meeting with a small, but affluent church group in New Orleans who wanted to hire her services. Seems the old city had a vampire infestation. With the Feds kept out of the loop, and the local law in over their heads, someone had to do something. The few local vamp slayers were dropping like flies. The night fiends were unified, organized and well on their way to completely controlling the Crescent City. The group, representing several local churches, placed a substantial bounty on vampires and offered Conifer a very nice incentive bonus. This is what her calling was all about, this is what she was born for! |

So David told me (which I wanted him to) that my main problems with art are
*lack of dynamic look
*characters IN their environment
*Full body dynamic action
*room for lettering for covers

So I've been wanting to do a redo and really make it cool and bring it to life.
While waiting for my boyfriend to come over I started this and finished the line work today. (10/31/09)
So this is the line work. I will be erasing the lightning lines and painting it in. There will also be a downpour of rain when I'm done. The background mountains will be foggy and the vision will be blurred by the rain the farther back you go. I have mountains draw all the way to the back to let me know to paint it and fog it out. I will have links to the references on the final color. The model is triple H.

For awhile now, I've been telling my good friend, animator Tina Francisco, to create a character of her own that she would enjoy drawing in pin-ups and in sequential stories.
Like me, she's a big fan of artist Dean Yeagle's work, plus she loves drawing cute fantasy imagery.
So she came up with the idea of doing a sexy young witch, still in Charm School (naturally).
What a perfect theme for Halloween on Heromroph, right? So I suggested that she call the concept TOTALLY TINA (naming her character after herself, like I did), and she agreed to let me post her first TOTALLY TINA drawing here on Heromorph, to get your comments.

Finally: Here's the full-color version of my drawing of Superman and Supergirl being terrorized by Kryptonite Girl. Color is courtesy of Katrina Mae Hao.
As I mentioned when I posted the line art version some time ago, this is based on a 3D illustration posted by someone else. I wanted to add some motion and energy to the concept, and shake off the stiffness inherent in Poser-type illustrations, and see if I could make it work.
This is the first time I've ever drawn Superman -- or Supergirl, for that matter!

Hmmm... I think this is the first image in 2 years and I am not totally happy with it. It has a few issues. But hey, gotta get it posted before the 31st.
This is a follow up piece to my adult themed Halloween piece from 2007. I thought I would cheat and grab an image of a pumpkin off of the internet. Well, it needed so much clean up that I would have been better off painting one from scratch like I did on my other image. The things we learn.

Just a little fun, since the Aliens seem to be invading the Animotions site, and I got a bit inspired... Been wanting to do a pic like this for years, and initially was planning this with Diana, but... Keth'ren would be far more likely to encounter an Alien like this. Plus... Keth's reaction isn't fright, or rage, or fear... it's, quite simply? 'EUGH!!! It's trying to SPIT ON ME!' |

| Briana was a thief of thieves. The young Vanir had robbed many lords and commoners from Aquilonia to Zamora using her cunning but most often her sword arm. She had never failed to capture her prize. When she heard of the one treasure that no man had ever stolen, the Eye of the Nirad, she swore it would be hers. Nirad was a giant cyclops demon who terrorized Hyrkania before the fall of Atlantis and was said to possess demonic powers and said to be the king of the dead, but what was most interesting about him was that his one eye was a huge gem said to worth a king's fortune. After his death his body decayed from the passage of time sat upon his throne in his cave tomb but his jewel eye remained intact. When Briana asked why no one had ever claimed it she was told grisly stories of those who tried and never returned. Unmoved by the fairy tales she set out to find the Eye. To her surprise she found the eye and secured it with relative ease..but to her dismay she found out that leaving the tomb with it in her possession was another matter all together. |

Practically every year, for the Glass House Graphics CREATING COMICS SEMINAR held in Manila, I do the art for the promotional poster. (And I teach a bit there or at least model for the artists.)
So every year, I contribute a Banzai Girl in a different pose, usually holding a pencil. The next Seminar is sometime in January 2010. I did the line art for the poster today, so here's an advance look.
