Hi everybody! Today, i bring you a WIP . I started this piece a few years ago but now i'm ready to finish it. The chars in there are actualy me and a friend of mine. It still has a lot of work to do, but i think i can finish in a couple of days. Sorry for the bad quality of the pic but i couldn't take a good photo because oils are still drying (and a small part of the painting is missing :\)...
Well, i'll upload the final version soon (i hope...).
Thank you Mr.Android for the tips about the lighting. It has been very useful :D

| Sheba Summers will always hold a special place in my heart. Not only was she originally patterned after the actress, Pam Grier [whom i had many a sexual fantasy about] but she was the very first female hero I created. Sheba lives a dual life as both a hard nosed private investigator [coincidentally she uses the last name Shane] but her most important role being that of America's premiere secret agent as well as the love interest of Sam Savage. Sheba's a flamboyant person who has an eye for both fashion and covert operations. Sometimes she makes me wanna be the bad guy just so she can chase me around. | Another one of the original ladies of Unicorn Comics. Gwen Chin Lao has been kicking major butt in the UC universe for a long time and looks just as lovely now as she did wayyyy back then. Tiger Lily not only is a master of several forms of martial arts but she also happens to come from a secret village called Kem Ta tha dwells in another dimension [sounds kinda familiar dont it?]. While other female martial artists are depicted as soft natured individuals who abhore violence..TL's the exact opposite. She loves a good scrap now and then. | My favorite Unicorn character creation. Tantrum is actually a tribute to my eldest daughter Tiffani Bell [even carrying her actual name]. Possessing super strength, invulnerability and a never surrender attitude, Tantrum is perhaps the strongest female in UC Comics. Much like the Hulk her strengths grow as her anger does..and she gets angry quite often. My partner Henry Samson is responsible for the battlesuit costume design and I am glad to have recreated it in this media. Tantrum is the first in a series of images I'm posting as a tribute to some of my first and favorite female characters of the Unicorn Universe. Football season is beginning, and a devout Pittsburgh Steelers fan asked me to create a scene with "Jinky playing football with the Steelers, wearing an abbreviated version of their uniform."
I kept working up different ideas for the scene, then finally settled on this one.
I loved 'em in the Super Bowl last year (yes, I watched it!), and I hope everyone enjoys my tribute.

This BANZAI GIRL drawing is by Will Conrad, best knows as artist on Dark Horse's projects CONAN, KULL, and Joss Whedon's SERENITY. He also drew Stan Lee's FEEDBACK comic book from WHO WANTS TO BE A SUPER-HERO? and is currently drawing BLACK PANTHER over at Marvel.
Coloring is by Michael Kelleher.

If someone were to ask, "What's the most difficult problem that schoolgirls face today in a Heromorph world?", what would be the answer?
Homework? Dating complications? Lecherous teachers? Windy drafts? Uniforms that tear too easily? The mind reels.
So: I took an informal poll of all the manga and anime` schoolgirls I know, including my best friend and my sister, and our overwhelming answer is: Tentacles!
Those pesky things seem to show up anywhere and everywhere. I don't think of fried calamari with sweet chili sauce to be so much as an appetizer as payback! :)

Update 2: Took some advice from below and attempted to better blend the models into the scene. I think in large part I succeeded, of course I leave that for you to judge.
Update note: Lowered the Opacity of a Texture blend on Purgatori and played around with OnOne's Intellihance pro. Seemed to help a bit with the res discrepency.
