First off, sorry for the previous two posts. Here. One my daughter was nice enough to press some buttons during upload. And second one I have an image that is 800K and 3900 x 2900 pixles. Just wouldn't go. I am sure I am doing something here. But anyway where I left off here.
Hopefully there will be tons more. I love the details you can see with higher-res images. Still had to size it down but not quite nearly as much as usual. This too quite some time to do. Hours just for the fur. Hope every one likes it. I am satisified with the way this come out. Let me know what you all think. The model is Louise Glover, the rest is from me here. All characters are of course copy right to their perspective owners. Art is mine. Thanks everyone! |

I've been working on this piece for several weeks, and there comes a time when you have to step back and let it be done. I could easily keep tweaking and changing - I must have tried half a dozen hats and almost 20 different spell effects.
As a side note, this piece is 99% 3D, but I'm rarely happy with the output of Poser and always go back in to make tweaks. In this case, I modified the face pretty heavily to get the open mouth and lively eyes. I'd like to thank Meagan Vanburkleo for serving as inspiration. |

Home brew Poser WW. Victoria 4 and V4 bodysuit, the rockin' boots by A_C_C, Curly Hair by The3dWizard, with magnets by me, background from a set at Renderosity. The 3d Wonder Woman props are by me, made in Hexagon and turned into a conforming figure with some aid from the lovely Lyrra. Lasso was made in Hexagon specifically for this pose. :)
Something about the face bugs me, but the rest of the pic, I'm very happy with. The costume is dead on where I want, as is her build. |

Did this one to practice my inking with pens and brushes. I still suck pretty bad with brushes, but I'm slowly getting better with the pens. I still fell back on my trusty technical pens for her eyes and mouth, though.
If anyone wants to colour this, go ahead -- just be sure to send me a note or email so I can see the finished version. |

I did this a few years ago. It was all done in a single render -- there was no compositing.
All of the figures are using Apollo Maximus (except for the P4 Union Jack and low poly Nazi's from Thunderr; Captain America is played by David).
Big scene. Burned up an old computer on it But it was worth it. |

Was working on a much larger piece, but had problems with it not wanting to render. Nearly 2 weeks worth of work, changing backgrounds, deleting objects and still no-go.
So I ended up salvaging some of my work and came up with this piece of The X-men.Thanks to Vadlor for the Juggernaut outfit |

So I actually feel like posting one of my drawings here. It's probably the only one I'll post. But here's what I wrote about it on Deviant. **** I've been seeing lots of artists do a gray background under their lines, and then shade them. I've always thought this was cool but never got to trying it. I love Jean Grey (The Phoenix) she's my favorite comic book character of all time. So I wanted to test the gray shading with her. I've had this picture of Angelica Bridges that reminds me of Jean. So I used that as a reference. There is a lot more here than the original pose that Angelica is doing. It really took a life of it's own. I'm going to try out the color masking thing with this tomorrow. It's late now.
But let me know what you think. I personally think my art is getting a more professional look to it. That's often my goal. Don't worry I love to improve and try new stuff so I'm not saying I'm done learning. I'm saying it is getting to what I think I want my art to look like professionally.
Anyway, this is a big fav for me. Can't wait to do more. The eyes remind me of my hero and one of my favorite artists character eyes (AH!) that makes me want to jump up and down with joy. He's so cool, but It's still my style. Which I'm not really sure what that looks like. lol
Jean Grey the Phoenix is property of Marvel comics. This is fan art and a dedication to the character. |
