When I first started thinking about what to use as a base for Man Thing, I thought about using a picture of the Hulk. I couldn't find one I liked, though. For a month, I had no other ideas about how to approach a Man Thing pic. Then, in the wee hours of this morning, I had the rather silly idea of showing him on the toilet. "Probably too late to do anything with it now...", I thought. Then, this afternoon, in a final, desperate google, I came accross a picture of the Hulk on the toilet. I love it when a plan comes together  . I slapped a Bowen Designs bust over the Hulk, and added a little bit of color and shadows. Not my proudest moment, but hopefully it will make up in laughs what it lacks in artistic ability. Now to email Billy and tell him about the "deadline extention"

Mary Marvel and Black Adam had a kid?  I didn't even know they were dating. Anyway here's my first ever entry into this pretty cool Draw-Off challenge. I almost went more tradional with his look, but then thought..what the hell. This is an ultimate version so long hair and a goatee was a must, a new wave costume [complete with standard "ultimate ridges" and of course no cape...cuz everyone knows "Ultimates don't wear capes!" Enjoy! |

Do you remember "Avengers Forever"? Instead of that series, Busiek & Pacheco were working on a different project before. Something about a world were the Axis won the World War II. At least, the editor had a different idea and that project had to be ... "aplaced."
On one of the spanish fanfiction webs were I submit the "covers" someone decided to imagine how would be that series. And it's being funny!

just a wee avatar I did for another sight. The picture is from a poster of "Lust for Life", and the actor is Kirk Douglas portraying Vincent Van Gogh....get it? Oh ya...it's the tick...duh. I thought I'd finally merge my two personas from here and the fakir world.

| To be honest I???m not a big fan of Shazam, he???s kinda??? well??? to much of a 40???s character and doesn???t lend himself well to modern day. But that???s the idea of this challenge I suppose. My half hearted drawing of Cpt. Marvel is basically a suped up version of the original costume. I figured such a ???classic??? character should keep his staple traits such as the red with the lighting bolt, the funny white towel, and yes even the booties. |
