This is Christina Aguilera as Taarna from Heavy Metal. I don't know how I ever came up with her as Taarna, and there is no way in hell I would ever cast her, but here she is in all her black and red glory.
The glove was a challenge (made it from scratch), but it turned out well. I also (tried) to fix her blonde slutty ho braided hair. I'm also proud of myself for the costume and armor. Enjoy.... |

...This was mostly a lot of Frankensteining to put Conrad Veidt (from "Casablanca" & "The Man Who Laughs") as the Joker in a poster for an episode of the old Batman & Robin serial adventures.
I saw the picture of Veidt from "Man Who Laughs" and thought... wow... I can see why Bob Kane got the idea for the Joker from that... then I read the challenge...and little wierd wheels started clicking.
(My original idea was to do this as an animated .gif in the style of old movie trailers. But I don't think I could get it done in time) |

I had a request from "Cadonia Blue" to do a manip of her character from a RPG. She sent me a written description and some model ideas, I did some sketches, and at the end of the collaboration this is what we ended up with.
Basicly Astraea is a Supergirl/Powergirl-esque hero (super strength, flight, invulnerability, super-breath, etc).

| I did a few wallpapers that were a departure from superheroes. I'm also a dyed-in-the-wool parrothead from way back, and I did some works that I felt reflected the associations in my mind when I'd listen to Jimmy Buffett's music. Once of my favorite very mellow songs by Jimmy is one of his earliest. The song is the title of this work, and the model is Jennifer Lopez back in the days before she was "J-Lo." |

Haven't posted a pic in awhile...
This pic was an exercise in spandex, inspired by the spandex queen MisVee.
Body by DAZ, some elements of real spandex franked, some flat grey layers with film-grain added and selectively erased, dodge, burn and paint....
(damnit... she made it look easy!)
I have a lot to learn so rest assured, next time I see a woman in spandex I will study her very closely.  |

| When I did this one, I had NO clue who the character was. I did it from a reference pic sent by a fan as a request. I still don't think I've ever read a book with her in it as a hero (She had a cameo in the New Teen Titans a while back, but she wasn't in costume). Still, I like the way the leather turned out. |
