| "The Next Generation" - Generation X
Angelophile Marvel Comics 2005/7/8 2:40
5570 13
I've been working on this manipsince last November/December time, so this represents over six months of work. Pretty much my magnum opus and all that.
So, here's Generation X in all their glory. They are: Charlize Theron as The White Queen, Kenneth Branagh as Banshee, Milla Jovovich as Penance, Zhang Ziyi as Jubilee, James Marsters as Chamber, Bianca Lawson as Monet, Kirsten Dunst as Husk, J. August Richards as Synch and Dante Basco as Skin.
This was the mother of all frankensteining jobs - don't ask me how many man hours and layers went into this baby - too many to mention.
I hope the end result was worth the effort.

| ultimate flash
hugeackman DC Comics 2005/7/7 19:20

i see junfans got some pics up aswell, so here are some more!
my ultimate flash was working on a particle accelerator when he [or she, there are too many men in the jl] has to get close to the particle accerator, making the character's atoms spin faster, thereby allowing superspeed, but also causing accelerated ageing, not to mention the fact that when the particles go so fast, they cause EXTREME heat. luthor designs a suit to contain flash, with heat dissapation vents, which light up with nuclear energy, thereby allowing for "lightning" to come off the suit. in this pic flash is going so fast, his atomic structure is sufferin', which is why he's seethrough. |

O.k. so I used to do tattoos too, thats just to start the story... I drew this piece 2 years ago just messing around, burned out on drawing tattoo flash. My boss at the tattoo parlor deemed this so "bad-ass" that he insisted I display it in the shop. And so I did and I ruled. |

I had a half finished Snowbird here for awhile; finally got enoough motivation to finish it. Tried several new (to me) techniques on this one. I like the final result except the cape. I may have to rework that at some point. |

Recreating a comic cover, even one without a background, is never easy to do. The fact that there are seven characters in the picture doesn't make it easier.
But, all in all, I think it came out well. What do you think? |

I already produced one version of this image here - http://heromorph.com/modules/myalbum/photo.php?lid=3956 but wasn't entirely happy with the way it turned out, so this is the amended version.
It will be going towards the final Generation X team manip, which I'm in the final stages of completing. Perfectionism means I keep going back to change things. ;) |

I'll admit that not a whole lot of effort went into this one. The hardest part was doing Sabertooth Streaky [he started out as a Bengal Tiger]. I originally intended this base for Shanna the She-Devil but this came out just as nice. This will probally be the last challenge I do for awhile so enjoy! |

ok, who here has pepe munroe's batman: digital justice? anyone? anyone? .......anyone? bueller? okay well, it was good for the most part, and in one scene a time cover is used asking "is batman back?" it stuck with me, plus ultimate justice league would be like the ultimates/xstatix in terms of media, arranged fights (unbeknownst to the jl) and like the ultimates in cinematic feeling.
its my personal justice league logo (copyrighted and everything!) brandon routh, renee henderson, christian bale and the hulk, ripped, chopped and done |

I don't know what you would call this. But this is my latest commission. The story goes, that this girl was diving and found this scepter in the lost city of Atlantis, which cause her diving suit to fuse to her skin. And some how she got 2 house legs and a fish tail. Maybe she is a sea horse. Anyways enjoy. |

Remember when comics were fun? I do. Ya gotto love the JLI. This is my first major group shot using Poser. It would have been easier if my computer were powerful enough to let me pose all six figures at once. Alas, it is not. So, the ol' "cut-n-paste" skills came in handy. |

I had serious resizing issues with this. It came out looking way too blurry. It looked great when I looked at it in it's original size in PS. Then I realize it was HUGE and there was no way it would fit on here. I hope you still like it, even though it's kind of blurry and some of the detail is lost.... |
