Batgirl's head swam - she could hear music, yet it made no sense. She recognised the song, but somehow the lyrics were......different. The Boomtown Rats blasted her senses, but the chorus was all wrong...."It's a Bat Trap, and you've been caught....".
Harley: "Ohh, Mr J, she's waking up"
Joker: "Finally.....wakey wakey Batsie....you nearly missed the big finale"!
Harley: "Can we just do it now puddin' "?
Joker: "Harley, Harley, Harley...that's what I like about you....your.....enthusiasm. But no, we have to wait. The Bat still has 5 minutes to show up before the deadline. Of course, if he doesn't show, then......".
Harley: "Ohh...Mr J......you're the best".
Catwoman: "I think I'm gonna be sick. Why you couldn't leave me alone with Batgirl for half an hour I'll never know".
Joker: "Ahhh, Kitty....I'd forgotten you were there. And it's simple really......we need her alive........for now. But, look on the bright side, if he shows you get to sink your claws into him, if not....well, Batgirl's not going anywhere fast".
Catwoman: Mmmmmmmmmm.......that sounds......... deliciously...... purrrrfect".
Harley: "Ohh Mr J, you promised her to me....".
Joker: "Now now Harley...you have to learn to share. And one last thing.....if you really want to be taken seriously, then I suggest using a proper knife, and not a plastic one from the cafeteria".
Harley: "Mr J"!!!
Batgirl: "Uhhmm....mmpgghh"

I heard the other day on a comic book podcast that I listen to "Breaking the Panel" that it takes up to 100 pages before an artist gets his style. Some day it takes over 1000 pages!
Well I decided today that I better get cracking on those.
My first mini comic is a lovely take on Black Cat in a rather bound position trying to make a escape. Looks like she didn't take into account certain attributes in her escape plan!
The page was hand drawn, then inked/toned in Comicworks, and lettered in Illustrato |

welp, i did another group shot. sorry ^_^;
i originally designed this as another "this is my inspiritations" shot, with the mucho original title, Well of Ideas, but then i noticed just how much like a movie poster the overall composition was, and thought, well, might as well have some fun. so, its BASH BASH BABY! coming to a theater near you, NEVAR!
PS: yessums, i knows about the ickle small errors, and considering the mucho huge errors i worked ages on fixing, i do not mind them one bit.

With Superman out of town, the local thugs thought they could 'make hay whilst the sun shines'.
In a deserted alleyway in downtown Metropolis, as a terrified victim pleads for her life, a solitary figure silently descends into the light.
Catching a glimpse of movement from the corner of his eye, one of the muggers looks up, all words instantly choking in his throat. Grasping his partner in crimes arm, he tries to warn him, but his colleague is far too engrossed in the woman before him.......and ignores his partner.
He never knew what hit him........... |

I kinda like the ribbons but at the same time I think they make her come off as too cutesy. Maybe the ribbon on the tail was going overboard - lotza luv.
I think I'll try another version that's not so sweet.

Okay, so if you only know The Dresden Files by the television show, or if you just know it by the comics rather than the books they're based on, this might seem a strange interpretation of Karrin Murphy, the cop buddy of wizard Harry Dresden. This is how Harry sees her, when he's viewed her with his Wizard's sight (third eye). An avenging angel.
Hand drawn, then colored in PSP. Which only served to remind me that I'm MUCH better at the computer aspect than the sketching, in the end. Oh well. |

Yeah, I know it would've been a better fit to
use Batman and the Wayne Family gravestone, but I wanted to do an Al/Wanda piece.
