Notes: The original file was corrupted leading to much wailing and gnashing of teeth. Fortunately, I found a PSD recovery program that saved most of my work. Unfortunately, it also merged all the layers so my post work options were limited. Anyways, I am very happy with how she turned out.

My niece wants to be a Ninja.
I decided to honor her with this tribute to the great Tatsu Yamashiro. (Katana of the Outsiders), and her fabled Muramasa sword (the SoulTaker).
The outfit is my version of her current one, but the Sword is modeled after hers from the original B.A.T.O. days.
I had help from some friends with the Kanji, which translated is supposed to mean "soul pirate." 
The 12 spirits were added as a cheezy reference to the movie 13 Ghosts, which my family tried to watch for Xmas, but the DVD was scratched beyond repair, so we never got to see the 13th.

This is my second ever attempt at computer art / photo manipulation. It's really more of a manual tracing this time than an actual manipulation of a photo. Still using GIMP ... starting to learn how it works. I enjoy doing this. My deal to myself was that if I actuall manage to complete more than 2 drawing I would buy myself a digital tablet ... drawing with the mouse is hard! (LOL)

Wolverine after a rematch with Juggernaut.
I drew this free hand from scratch using only photoshop CS2 [just the Pentool, Brush, dodge and burn.] I usually draw on paper first, then scan and ink, paint, etc. in CS2. But this one is ALL CS2. Comments, Compliments, and Critique welcome.

It's been a while since I posted something, so I thought I'd post this before the year is out. Here's my rendition of Fire, aka Beatriz da Costa. I figured she's never had a definite costume so I went with the modelling route as she's been known to do and well, there you have it. It's been sitting around incomplete for awhile so I just touched it up with time permitting, so it could have some issues.
The model is Lucy Pinder.

I got this idea- basically a what-if scenario where Spidey keeps that fairly cool wrestling outfit from the first movie-- during one of my occassional trips to Project:Rooftop. (If you've never been, check it out. It's...humbling, for those of us not yet of professional calibur.) |
