This weeks girl is Firebrand of the JSA WWII.
I decided to include some Uber Frau. I know there was a recurring villane from the WonderWoman Comics but I can never remember her name. A little help would be nice so I can do a piece centering around her with WW tied up some where. |

Another quickie coloring piece, this time from a pencilled convention sketch. I'm experimenting with a blend of my two coloring styles to come out with something between cartoon and realistic. Still have not reached the balance I want, but it's fun in the trying of it.
And meanwhile, I've got another Phoenix piece in my portfolio now. Because clearly, I didn't have enough. |

I don't know what it is with Hulk and broads, he just seems to have a lot of trouble... No, I don't know why he's mad at her. You tell me... I had a whole 'nother background for this, until I realized that she is reclining, not flying. Yes, she is standing on, I think, the Dominican Republic. Yes, this is full size, sorry, it's all I had to work with. Anyone know where to find high-rez comic book covers? LOL The background is a Modification of Incredible Hulk #106. Warbird is Nude Watercolor by Chris Sanders. The blue of her costume is from the "2" on the Centerfold-Swimsuit Girl image of his, and the yellow lightning bolt is from the liei on his Aloha Girl image. At least, that's what I started with. |

This is a painting over an old pencil drawing of mine. I tried to use the pencil rendering as a base, penciling over in multiply mode, but I'm not sure it has worked so well. The outer edges blending is pretty bad because of the low-res original and the multiply - should have just painted it from scratch... |

My wife and I got into a discussion about my 3D art last night. She said that all i seem to be able to do is make superheroes and fantasy stuff. Why don't I do something normal? Needless to say when she saw this she wasn't too happy but it sure shut her up! Other than the fact that this was a step away from my normal work it was a first for me in a couple of aspects. The first time I used 5 different male figures in the same picture [M4, M3, D3, Hiro and Don] Can you tell which is which? You may now drool at will. |

One more for the League of Justice Babes. I enjoyed working on the Supergirl model so much that I just had to do her again. (Who wouldn't) So, for your enjoyment, here she is-- the fabulous Emily Dean. This time as Power Girl.
The Space background is my experimentation with lens flares and layer blends. The planet I created via Flaming Pear's free Lunar Cell Plugin (not an ad, just credit where credit is due) The Babes in the Bubble are the other LJB members, being escorted of course by GL, Superman in space suit, and Batman (not seen because he's in the Javelin.)

I have never done this before, but I love this site, so I did some image searches ... found a pic, and tried to add the costume. It's my first work. I downloaded a GNU image program called GIMP and started playing around. Never used the program before ... never did this before ... but I used to draw the old fashioned way (on paper) so I was hoping I might find an outlet here and some feedback. Let me know what you think. The background is from "http://www1.istockphoto.com/" and you can clearly see the "stock photo" watermark on the image. Next time I'll work on my own background. This time I was anxious to post... to get started.
Regards,
Erus
