Inspired by various manips here on the sight (masterofdisaster127's and Heroglyph's Batgirls in particular) I decided to try one of my own. And I figured no one would really mind seeing more of Jennifer Korbin... Not really happy with the cape...but I'm still learning... |

This image morphed into what it is from a simple idea. I wanted to do an Elseworlds Gender Bender universe. In this uinverse, Kaylie El rockets to Earth after the destruction of Krypton to be raised as Clara Kent in Smallville Kansas. She grows up to be Superwoman and finds herself attracted to Alexandra Luthor, only to eventually be at odds with her lover, who has aspirations for world domination.
Eventually it ocurred to me that the richest woman in the world, Alexandra Luthor, or Lex, as she's more popularly know, would own quite a few companies. Then I saw a copy of Maxim that I have lying around and this is the idea that spawned from that. I consider this issue to be one that came out before Alexandra and Clara had their falling out. |

well, well, well. i actually completed a piece. glory be and all that. anyway, i'm not that happy with the effects or the background, but i figure something is better than nothing, and i'll prolly return to it anyway, if i get the time.
and oops, yeah its a supergirl piece. and while i still prefer my loli-supergirl as my main supergirl, just cause she contrasts so well with my powergirl, i like to do a womanly supergirl every now and then.
though oddly enough, even when i make her a bit older, i still prefer her to be willowly, and not too stacked or muscular. prolly just me, i guess.
anyway, Supergirl is (C) to DC.
lets hope i can get other stuff done, but i doubts it. |

Once again, Texture Converter contributes to an awesome texture. This time, the Power Girl texture from the peter cotton bundles converted to V4. I've been wanting to do a proper Power Girl image for quite sometime, but the versions I came up with using V3 just looked like crap. I'm never one to toot my own horn, but I think this turned out rather well. What do you guys think? |

Anyone remember Tom Strong? This is an attempt at one of his villains. I don't like that there are no grond shadows, but I just didn't like the effects I got when I added more light. |

Back in the late 90's, I was buying trading cards and using them for reference to do drawings. I used a Strathmore sketch pad, a mechanical pencil and Prismacolor colored pencils. I recently found them again in a box after moving, and decided to post them here. I may digitally ink and color them again, in an effort to get used the the new graphics tablet, and get better at Photoshop. |

So this was supposed to be for the 5th year aniversary celebration. I think I started this back in May but never finished it because I moved in june and it got lost in the shuffle.
This is lady heromorph with a few costume tweeks, some I did because I needed to (I simply couldn't draw that mask) and some because I just wanted to add a little of my own style to the outfit. This is all done in pen and ink, hopefully the scan doesn't turn out wonky. I'm working on a new computer and had a hard time with my usual photoshop scanning edits. |

After the original Captain America was killed in World War II, a new Captain America was created in the 1950's. Using a combination of surgery, cloning and blood samples of Steve Rogers turned the Nazi called The Grand Director into Captain America. This already mentally unstable character became a major threat to America as he believed (and still believes) himself to be the original Captain America, Steve Rogers. Now he's back from the dead and being used and manipulated by the Red Skull and A.I.M. to bring America down from the inside out. |

I realized I hadn't used the texture for the Cammy costume found in the Peter Cotton bundle, yet, and in light of the new Street Fighter movie that is currently filming starring Kristin Kreuk as Chun Li, I really wanted to do a Street Fighter image. The only problem was, the texture in the bundle was for a version of her costume from more recent games, and I really wanted to do a classic costumed Cammy. I spent all night last night and all day today making the texture for her costume myself, and the result is before you. Let me know how I did. |

One of my favorite Marvel characters from the 70's. In his original (and cooler) costume than the ones he had later. Bad thing about him is that he first only appeared in the Marvel UK line that wasn't available here in the states. The only glimpse we had of him was a couple Marvel Team-ups alongside Spidey. Meanwhile, he had his own series in the UK. I was super excited the other day when I happened to find several issues of said series in a local comic shop. Bought one of each. The art is classic Herb Trimpe which made it even more exciting! |

Creators: Roy Thomas, Rich Buckler, Jerry Ordway First appearance Justice League of America #193 (as Danette Reilly), All-Star Squadron #5 (as Firebrand) Powers: Pyrokinesis & Flight Affiliations: All-Star Squadron
Notes: A lot of layers. Used "levels" to make her auburn hair red and recolored the eyes green. I tried to give the impression that the pink shoulder/arm coverings are a sheer, translucent fabric. I did have her customary belt on the original, but I omitted it in the final manip. Actually I could never figure out what it was there for anyhow. MODEL: SHARON PINK
