| I know I promised to use P4 figures for my next few posts but I was commisioned to do an image of Elektra and Daredevil fighting after someone at Renderosity saw my last image of ol' HornHead. Anyway the job didn't pay much but I really liked how it came out. Not too bad for one day's work. He wanted a more comicbook look to than 3D so I did quite a bit of postwork on this one. |

I think it is my oldest daughter's fascination with retro-cartoon network Boomerang that inspired this.
In short, Quick Draw McGraw was a spoof on American Westerns. QD was anthropomorphic horse character who usually portrayed a sheriff or a Lone Ranger type. His sidekick was the far more intelligent Mexican Burro, Baba Looey. In a few of the features QD took on the Zorro type identity of EL KABONG!, bringing justice to the Old West using his guitar... as a bludgeon.

Yeah, I'm still trying to see just how many characters I can jam into a pic. 
Bat prevents a young Cowpoke from making the fatal mistake of drawing on his deadly friend with his usual disarming sense of humor.
I figured I might be making a pretty obscure choice here till I discovered there's a new Bat Lash series out now while researching this pic on the net. Good to see John Severin still drawing the hell out of a comic at 85 yrs old! |

With the creation of M3, V3, V4 Aiko and other top notch uni-mesh 3D figures most everyone I know has forgotten about the early stages of Poser when the Dork and Posette figures ruled. Sure by today's standards they can look pretty lame but there were some guys [Sharby, Marvel 1, Hasdrubal etc.] who did wonders with these figures just for us comicbook freaks. I figured that for my next few posts I'd use those standalone Poser 3/4 figures and see what I can do with them and set an interesting scene at the same time.
Here Squadron Supreme members Hyperion and Dr. Spectrum investigate a power outage from one of their monitoring beacons on a distant asteroid. When they arrive the find an irrate Drax the Destroyer who has set up shop there. They only want to repair the beacon ..but you know how Drax hates uninvited company.
Drax, Hyperion & Dr. Spectrum all by Hasdrubal.

| I've always liked Hal Jordan as opposed to the other Green Lanterns, so I decided to do a little redux of him. Only, I did something I've never done before.... watercolor pencils and ink. I use two different brands of watercolors for this... prismacolor and some german brand ( the name eludes me)... well critiques? Fire away. |
