| Would you believe this is the FIRST time I've done a finished pic of a solo Green Lantern? I've done JLA group shots with GL but for some reason I had never done a solo shot. This is also the first time that I inked a whole picture in photoshop. The only thing done on paper for this one was the pencil sketch. I know there are anatomical problems but I'm really psyched with how the color turned out. |

| I was never happy with the setting of the original version, I don;t believe I managed to get the lighting to mach the background, so I re-rendered with an actual background set and changed the lighting a little. It's a much improved piece imho. |

This took surprisingly little time to set up. I actually spent more time in Photoshop with this image that I did in Poser.
Predatron's City Streets for the alley
M3 Alligator Coat
T3 Pants (can't remember who did them)
and finally, Punisher texture by me. Yes, by ME! My very first personally done texture. I took a black background, added the Punisher skull from the movie, put in a film grain effect for cloth texture, and a little gausian blur to cover up the fact the the resolution of the skull was much, much smaller than the texture needed to be. I took lessons from petercotton's bundle on how to pull off an effective bump map to give the illusion of folding cloth, modified a trans map that I have and voila. . .instant Punisher (ok, so not instant. more like several hours worth of work Punisher, but instant sounded better)
let me know what you think for my first attempt. I am no longer a texture virgin. |

| The lush green Planet Kryptearth was doomed for some time now and only ONE scientist from this race of plant like people was willing to accept it's fate but before the final explosion he decided he would send his only son in a rocket to the stars where he might survive on another planet . . . . upon landing on Earth in the Florida swamps, the crash landing was noticed by Jonathan and Martha Sallis who were out on their air boat in the Everglades. They went to investigate the site and to their shock discovered the space pod, when it opened they found a strange tiny creature that looked like nothing more than a pile of moss with two large orbs for eyes. . . . . Being the environmentalists that they were they believed all life was sacred and decided to take care of it.? As the little creature grew it started to exhibit a personality so they named him Klark, and loved it as if it were one of their own but they knew they had to keep him from the world, because many would try to harm him because of his appearance. They also discovered that he was developing strange and amazing powers due to this world's yellow sun and photosynthesis and learned that Klark had decided he wanted to try and help the environment and champion all living things with his gifts and so he called himself SuperMan-Thing. With a costume made from materials from his space pod made by his mom,? he would go out into the world and try to save as many living creatures as he could by day. Klark had dreams of being of a reporter for the Daily Planet to expose many of the injusticeses done to the planet and to help with finances for his aging parents, but because of his appearance he would have to settle for telemarketing for Greenpeace at night. The End. |

Does anybody remember this guy? I had forgotten about it until I downloaded the Spidey mask and textures from Sharby, but after I found it I dug out my old 2099 collection and remembered just how much I loved this comic. Miguel O'hara had the same dry whit that Peter Parker has but the book was much darker, which I think is something that suits the character.

Background props are Sector 15 by Stonemason.
As for how I got rid of the mask seam that runs down the center, I just used the blur tool and blurred the hell out of it in Photoshop. That method won't work with other Spidey masks that sport webbing, but it was fine for this image. |

Hello guys!
Well,it's 3:40 AM in my country,and I'm yet here on this machine,but at least I made my part of the challenge(that one with Brazzzil anda OCP images,that they showed).
My choice for this manip was AZRAEL from Batman series.
I' don't know too much about this guy,but I have a magazine with him,so...I'knew him!
I know that this one was trained for monks,or something like that,and have a problem to control his deep madness,so sometimes he become a little "medieval" like some ones said on magazine,but for me he's like a barbarian when he's mad.
If you know him problably you saw some differences,like that color,some armor parts,and some another things and I will splain why.
In the firts moment I wanted to make Raziel from the game SOUL REAVER,but when I remember about Azrael I want to make him too,and more!
So I had an ideia to make something crossing this two ones,but more closet to Azrael,because he is the character.
And I put some batman and spawn ideias to,like you can see.
I could say in a history for this manip:
"Azrael became mad,and went to a fight against a powerful enemy.
He lost his battle.
Because of some bad acts,he went to netherrealm,like somekind of evil form.
Know he must destroy some evil forces to return to the mortals world,and got his flesh again."
The manip show Azrael fighting against this devils,and with the dimension gate behind him.

This character is from a short story by Mickey Zucker Reichert in an anthology simply called 'Superheroes'. Its a pretty good story about a litle girl who's parents are recently divorced and who now lives with her mother and new 'evil stepfather'. She finds a comic of this character at her real fathers house and hides it in her room. She becomes convinced that her real father is the secret identity of Shadow Storm(I know its almost exactly the name of Cobra's ninja supreme but in the authors defense I get the feeling she honestly had no idea.). Its got a good happy ending that is sufficiently mysterious to leave you wondering if he was indeed the superhero. The only part I didn't care for was that ,as in many cases with literature and the media, the abusive stepfather is portrayed as 'religious' because the girl has to hide the comic from him since he, "...saw sacrilege in any but bible stories." Anyway, I liked the character and the story so I tried a drawing. The only descriptives in the story are that he is all in red, has a cape/gloves/boots, has two S's on his chest and the only part of his body visible are his eyes. One cool thing from the story is that he can pull the S's off of his chest and they can form themselves into whatever he needs at the moment. Swords, clubs, etc.
This is also one of those, 'Dang, I haven't drawn anything in a while and I really want to but I don't have a good idea so I'll try and throw something together quickly', drawings. |

Next on my World Tour series, here is Capitan Jupiter from Chile.
Created by Luis Cerna, Capitan Jupiter had his own comic book for several years.
Rex Vane was an astronomer working in Chile until he was abducted by aliens from Jupiter. On board their spaceship, they told him they were part of the Space Patrol and he was given a belt which granted him a variety of powers:
Invisibility, Ability to hear over many kilometers, a force field to make him invulnerable to anything, energy beams from his eyes, flight and ablity to live everywhere from deep space to the deepest abyss under water. No need to breathe.  |

Created by Carlos Trillo and Carlos Meglia, Cybersix was already made into a live-action series and also a cartoon series.

Yeah, another static stock pose--I need to get back to action sequences, this is getting freaking ridiculous. The list of things I need to finish is just getting massive.
Anyways, back when I was writing more, I tried coming up with some villains for my Comet OC to deal with, and came up with a piece of inspired brilliance in Ifrith, his realities version of Superman, only now driven insane by an enemy, and bearing a massive vendetta against his own teenaged sidekick, who stopped his murderous rampage and sent him to a special military hospital for fifteen years.
Kind of like if Robin had to kill Batman to save Gotham. Only, instead of a kick-ass car and utility belt, Batman could bench press tenements and outrun missiles, and instead of short-shorts and the unfortunate name of 'Robin', Robin could....start fires and fly.
Designs a little standard superhero trope mixed in with just a dab of Final Fantasy. |
