Yeah, so the obsession continues. Do the rest of you guys/gals get like this? I'm on some down time from work lately (I work outside), so I sketched out all the JLA re-makes. Now it's just a matter of getting them all digitized!
Anyway...Bats has a pretty classic look. I added the goggles (night vision) and some pads/armor/helmet. (Just seemed to make sense) I'm sure a lot of these things have been drawn before, but you take your inspiration where you find it! -Leif.
P.S. BikerBot, I promise to get to your piece when I'm done w/ this series. Just four more to go!!! |

| So continuing my Ulti-verse, This version of The Martian Manhunter is somewhat reclusive. He can shape-shift, but with considerable effort, also he is not as physically powerful. (Don't need two Supermen!) He remains in his natural form most of the time, thus his reclusive nature. I see him as more of a behind the scenes kind of character. I wanted to keep some of the original feel, but give him a more alien look. P.S. My wife designed the arm-band! -Leif. |

Didn't want to post this so soon after Wasmiths' excellent pic of her, but I was half finished with this when he posted his, so here goes. Tried a little Roger Dean style on the background- he's the artist that painted Yes album covers in the '70s. So, what do you folks think? |

| Okay, so it's hard to do an "Ultimate" G.L. w/out just looking like another variant costume. Sue me. ;-P Anyway, I tried to look at the Corps (yes, they still exist in my little world) as State-Troopers in space. The stripe down the leg, the big black boots, and the goggles are all there to try and give that effect. Enjoy! -Leif. |

| Ultimate Superman.
JunFan DC Comics 2005/2/3 16:23

This is my take on Kal-El in the "Ultimate" format. In my version he is truly the "stranger from another world". Not entirely trusted, and certainly not the icon he is in the stantard universe. Thus I wanted his uniform to be somewhat alien and very simple, but reckognizable. (I know it's shiny, It's SUPPOSED to be shiny!! I see him as a being of great internal conflict. A heartbeat away from either saving the world (against itself if neccesary) or dominating it w/ a fist of steel. (okay, time to double my dosage...thinking too much...) -Leif. |

And not that Spidey hasn't got enough problems, his science teacher Doctor Connors accidently mutates himself into the Lizard, when an experiment to regenerate his missing arm goes wrong. Spidey must rescue the Doc while at the same time juggle two women. No one said a superhero's life is easy. |

| This started as a sketch I did while on vacation. Two weeks w/out a computer gives you lots of time to create new ideas! I'm a hardcore D.C. fan, but the "Ultimate" line by Marvel rocks! This is my first attempt at "ultimizing" D.C. characters. More to come! -Leif. |

Ah, Giganta and Wonder Woman. They go together like Abbot & Costello, Burns & Allen, and oil & vinegar.
This all started with the WW pose. I had a lot of fun with this one. |
