You want obscure, here's obscure. I'm not sure how many Heromorphers are Hero Alliance Fans. Alot of great artists got their start on this comic. This group manip depicts some of the team's members, standing in front of the ruins of the Guardmen Complex destroyed by a villain named Sepulchre, killing most of the team. This is how Hero Alliance got their start, in the wake of the Guardmen disaster. I love these characters, and alot of detail was lost in the grouping process, so if anyone wants to see an individual manip or two let me know! Also, some of you may noticed that the bases for Victor and Kris are identical to the first two manips i ever posted here. I think if you compare my old Victor/Kris manips to these, you can see marked improvement. What do you think? Enjoy!

i've had this base for a while and that other pic of nova was the push i needed to do something with it.
the only thing i can't seem to work out is getting the starry reflections on the body, right now it just looks like gold paint. if any one has any ideas please let me know. |

| This is Nova the herald of Galactus. The base is olympic diver Erin Quinn turned upside-down. I inverted the light and dark and used various photoshop effects on her skin. Everything else is from scratch. |

i did something quite stupid with this.
i started off making just the mask and i liked how it turned out so then i began making the rest of the suit but i couldn't get the mask and the suit to look the same. it hopefully isn't that noticeable but to me it sticks out a mile.
next time i'll leave the rest of her costume and post it i the adult gallery, i'm sure there's an audience for naked swinging spider-chicks.
this is also the debut of my logo, almost every one has one, so....! |

okay first an apology to winterhawk, whom i borrowed this image from partly because i thought that it wasn't getting used. i couldn't resist doing this one, it was going to be superman but then i remembered the samaritan from astro city and it just clicked. it didn't take that long, the only thing i 'm not too happy with is the skin tone 'cos the original was black and white. well i hope you like it and i never meant any offense.

This is my first scene, I am pretty happy with the results;
I think it turned out pretty good.
Based loosely on the events that happened towards the end of the Keith Giffin and DeMatties's run on the Justice League, in a multiple issue story arch called "breakdowns" in 1991-1992. Personally, that was my favourite run on the Justice League.

Plus, it gave me the opportunity to make that nifty liscense plate. Tori started out standing on a kitchen counter in the base pic, and the reason her head's chopped off is that's the way it was in the base, and I felt like leaving it that way. Spider-Girl is off the cover of #65. Lightning was done using a tutorial, plus setting one of the lightning layers to Screen. The second-to-last 10% on this one was her mask, I threw away the first version. This is another one to answer Optical's challenge. On this one I _did_ make the background. Don't be surprised if it shows up again...

My first attempt at an entirely "Frankensteined" piece. All of teh body parts came from various pics of Dina Meyer (Starship troopers/Birds of Prey) except for the legs and chest which belong to Angelica Bridges. I found a pic of her in fantasy gear. Apparently she played Red Sonja on the short lived Conan TV series a few years ago.
The hardest part was getting all of the lighting to match up as well as getting the skin tones to mesh. Some of the bodyparts still seem a little off, especially the hands, but I am calling this one done for now. |

| honestly i never even considered this character for a manip... until i saw this base pic. i couldn't pass it up. essentially a quickie, it was more of a practice piece than anything else. i wanted to do a lot of frankensteining (everything she's wearing except the fur thing) and i wanted to experiment with fur for my cat-themed manip in progress. plus i haven't posted anything new since heromorph has been back up. |
