| Got a shiny new shuttlecraft for the Lillun and it is nice. All 3 dimensional tech and fully equipped to survive even in acidic atmospheres it is shielded against all known types of radiation, and can survive depths up to 1,600 fathoms...really well assembled. We've had to find a new supplier for our Asorbium 80, although Absorbium comes in many grades we found 80 grade works best for our needs. Our current supplier only sells 120 grade which is an amazing feat since it is nearly lethal to mine. Coming into direct contact with unrefined 120 grade can kill you since it is capable of absorbing life energy as well as all other forms...unlike 80 grade it is not exactly a passive absorption but far more aggressive absorbing any ambient energy within a few short meters.There are few materials that can shield against the precious ore and it makes the material cost prohibitive but a few rare species have such materials in abundance and if you can get in on their good side...you can pick it up far below market price. the 120 grade will be applied to the outer shell and nano irises made of Infinitium (there is only one source in the known universe for Infinitium) will serve to dampen it's effects. We'll be incorporating the 120 into our armors as well but with the existing 80 grade the effects will be somewhat dampened still a last resort weapon cable of sucking the life out of even the undead is a powerful weapon indeed. The shuttle will be retrofitted with our standard equipment and sensors but it'll remain 3d tech. I can't wait to put her through her paces. |

| On the outer rim of the Magellanic Cloud galaxy there id a solitary planet which lays in ruins, decimated by a species tampering with fourth dimensional technology. Without knowing exactly what they were doing these human-like beings opened a dimensional rift which remains open to this very day count Less millennia after being opened. The atmosphere all but completely depleted, having been absorbed into the rift is far too thin to breathe. The portal itself leading to a destination no-one knows...Obsidian mask will be the first to step through this portal. His mission: Reconnaissance and recovery of the wayward ship Kaznarr, a Kryllian cruiser with a crew of 800. It is presumed to be an impossible task. However, Obsidian is know for accomplishing the impossible. |

Gene Wilder, star of Mel Brooks movies, dies at 83.
Gene Wilder, the star of such comedy classics as
"Young Frankenstein" and "Blazing Saddles," has died.
Wilder's nephew said Monday that the actor and writer
died earlier this month in Stamford, Connecticut
from complications from Alzheimer's disease.
The frizzy-haired actor was a master at playing
panicked characters caught up in schemes that
only a madman such as Mel Brooks could devise,
whether reviving a monster in "Young Frankenstein"
or bilking Broadway in "The Producers."
But he also knew how to keep it cool as the boozy
sheriff in "Blazing Saddles" and as the charming
candy man in the children's favourite
"Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory." |

At one point early in my novel the SS Runt makes a run for it after rescuing Panterra from the planet of Ferusi. With Ferusian battle cruisers in hot pursuit the Runt makes a desperate play opening a fold gate near the sun of Ferusian system. A gamble that nearly destroys the Runt along with several Ferusian ships.
Side note: The planet of Ferusi has it's own global shield system via a network of satellite emitters powered by solar energy. Half of the grid is always facing the sun granting a limitless supply of energy at all times. Ships colliding with the shield meet the same fate as if crashing into the planet itself. SWhip that manage to breach the shield are greeted by the full might of the Ferusian space fleet garrisoned there. |

| Just like my heroine, "Metallica," I am aware that there is a rock band with a similar name, however, as it is with her name, this character was not named with any intention of copying said name, or from any kind of inspiration from said band. In fact, I don't think that I even spelled this one the same as the aforementioned band, and if I did, it's just a coincidence. When I came up with the name for this guy, I was just trying to come up with something that was a bit of a nonsense word that sounded kind of cool like all of those old Marvel monsters from back in the early days of the company. His name basically just being something of a guttural growl that he would utter. |
