I started developing this image quite a while ago using a different version of Supergirl (with the red skirt). I struggled with the piece on several fronts, including different poses, several models of jumbo jet, and variations on the city below.
Then one night, as I was working it, I received notice that Michael Turner passed away, and the old version just didn't seem right anymore.
I've retooled the image to reflect the costume invented by Michael and it seems 'right' now. |

ve spending a lot of time watching the "Ultimate Avengers' movie DVD and decided to do my own version. I went with a half grey half green Hulk because that's how he originally appeared in the Ultimates article I read in Wizard and I really liked the look. I also gave him a "Hulk Smash" tat on his arm but you can't see it. |

Another new take on Wonder Woman. I added the harem-pants and a new take on the bracelets. The base pic was very low rez, but it's an older pic that I recently decided to finish off. The head doesn't look like it goes with the neck but I assure you it's hers.

While I really liked the original version of this project, a friend came up with some ideas that really do make the scene better. Keep in mind, I've never attempted the kind of stuff he suggested, but I think it turned out allright and makes the scene much better. I added cuts and bruises to Diana and bloodied hands with smears on her bracelets. I tore her costume in places and impact dents where appropriate on her armor. I blurred the background a tad to make WW stand out, but her left arm look kind of caught up in the blurring. Finally, I tried my first little bit of frankensteining by having her right leg bend into the scene.

I....don't know what the heck this is. I was looking through an old sketchbook and found a bunch of drawings of a guy with his arms and legs reversed so I wanted to do a drawing like that. I started on it and it just kind of spiraled into....whatever the heck this is.
