| World Tour in Comics: Chile OCP Other Comics 2008/4/19 11:01 3107 8
Next on my World Tour series, here is Capitan Jupiter from Chile.
Created by Luis Cerna, Capitan Jupiter had his own comic book for several years.
Rex Vane was an astronomer working in Chile until he was abducted by aliens from Jupiter. On board their spaceship, they told him they were part of the Space Patrol and he was given a belt which granted him a variety of powers: Invisibility, Ability to hear over many kilometers, a force field to make him invulnerable to anything, energy beams from his eyes, flight and ablity to live everywhere from deep space to the deepest abyss under water. No need to breathe. |

| World Tour in Comics: Argentina OCP Other Comics 2008/4/18 17:44 3392 7
From Argentina introducing Cybersix, an artificially created human by an old Nazi cientist, she escaped and took the form of a male English teacher during the day and by night she hunts the new monsters created by the mad cientist.
Created by Carlos Trillo and Carlos Meglia, Cybersix was already made into a live-action series and also a cartoon series.
Not to happy with the hat, but after a few days around this one I figure it's time to post it. |

| Ifrith LordKuyohashi Original Characters 2008/4/17 16:33 2386 2
Yeah, another static stock pose--I need to get back to action sequences, this is getting freaking ridiculous. The list of things I need to finish is just getting massive.
Anyways, back when I was writing more, I tried coming up with some villains for my Comet OC to deal with, and came up with a piece of inspired brilliance in Ifrith, his realities version of Superman, only now driven insane by an enemy, and bearing a massive vendetta against his own teenaged sidekick, who stopped his murderous rampage and sent him to a special military hospital for fifteen years.
Kind of like if Robin had to kill Batman to save Gotham. Only, instead of a kick-ass car and utility belt, Batman could bench press tenements and outrun missiles, and instead of short-shorts and the unfortunate name of 'Robin', Robin could....start fires and fly.
Designs a little standard superhero trope mixed in with just a dab of Final Fantasy. |

| Red Son Supergirl masterofdisaster127 DC Comics 2008/4/16 13:34 7544 9
After working on my Red Son Wonder Woman I thought, "Hmmm, they never introduced Supergirl into the Red Son story arc." So, here's my stab at it. I think the Wonder Woman came out better, but I still like this one. Taking some of the critique I received on the Wonder Woman project I paid a little more attention to the edging of the base picture and I morphed the model's (Laura Vandervoort) face to give her a little bit of a scowl and make her a little more "mean" looking.
Hope you all like. |

| Wonder Woman Movie Still joshmc DC Comics 2008/4/15 13:32 4423 11
I liked how my last 'movie still' came out so I thought I'd knock up another one. I've always envisioned that a Wonder Woman film would end in a climatic battle between her and Ares on the cliffs of her home island whilst Amazons and Men unite against the armies of Ares invading the island, so I decided to make this shot look like the aftermath of that final battle sequence with a victorious yet battered and bruised Diana reflecting the event. Image is of Cobie Smulders. |

| The Secret of Skaro thestarkiller TV and Movies 2008/4/15 4:37 2390 5
I did this image a long time ago on a whim and it sparked an idea for a story about the Doctor and Rose traveling to Skaro, homeworld of the Daleks, at a point in their history before the Daleks had been created, only to find out that the Daleks had stolen timelord technology in order to travel back and ensure their own genesis. I never wrote the story, but if I ever do, I've got a pretty cool cover image for it.
Once again, can't remember where I got this stuff. I do know that in all my searching I've only found a handful of Tardis figures and only one set of Daleks, and they were all on the same site. If anyone happens to know where these figures came from, please let me know so I can give proper credit. |

| World's Finest thestarkiller DC Comics 2008/4/14 19:37 3288 5
batman's cowl, superman's boots and cape, and batman's gloves courtesy of predatron's v3 superhero complete. building by predatron's city streets. batman's cape by orca design studios (pain in the butt to work with, btw). don't remember where the superman costume texture came from. batman's costume texture is a reworking of the gray batgirl texture from petercotton's bundle.
this image took 3 freakin' days to get just right. mainly because of the learning curve with using the cloth room on the cape, which i had never done before. i've spent most of this day working on the stars and clouds in the background and touching up the skin pokethrough on superman.
was it worth it? you tell me |

CATFIGHT! It's Supergirl against her clone, Galatea. F.Y.I. Galatea was created by Professor Hamilton in Project Cadmus and is at the peak of her powers, thus more powerful than Supergirl. But Supergirl has that Kryptonian upbringing and studied in Argo, so she's light years smarter than Galatea. |

this one was a quicky i did while i was procrastinating on other's commissio-i mean work.
>_> anyway, i got the intial idea from this great artist, as seen here: http://rplatt.deviantart.com/art/Fairchild-51356757
but then i got to thinking...you ever think superhero's are in a position where their publicist's are yelling into their ears "I don't care if your facing the combined might of every damn villain in existance! if their's a camera within 15 feet i want you smiling into it!"
>_>
yeah, i'm odd. but enjoy. also, tried some new postwork techniques, but i may need to refine them.
Caitlin is (C) to DC. |
