Well, this is just a drawing I did for a contest over at another site (*ahem*)... the theme was to create a pet sidekick for a superhero. Huh...it apears that monkeys can be cheeky... who knew? |

This is my take on Aquagirl. I found this base and it was just self explanitory. I took some liberties with the costume, and my wife helped me design the finishing touches. |

This was a quick (20minute), joint effort manip from me and my son. He doesn't do much artwork and rarely uses the computer, but he showed a little interest so I did my best to coach him and show him what little I know... He's only 10, so we stayed away from the nudes... |

The four figures in the background are the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, which would be kinda ironic, considering who one of them is. |

The kids of Power Pack (worst.superhero group. ever.) where looking forward to a nice, quiet Halloween... when they heard a hard knock on the door and someone shout "Trick or Treat!" Better hope they still have some candy left to give. Or not.
(I could go on and on about the many troubles I had making this one; but I'll just say that I had to make a it a sloppy, quick pic or not post at all for halloween. Oh, and I colored it on a PC with poorly calibrated monitor. So if it looks like shit... do tell me.) |

| Lady Death by JrMcDeath, MatrixBlur, and Winterhawk (clean version)
Winterhawk Other Comics 2006/10/30 19:33

For Lady Death Week! This image started around 2 years or so ago. Jr was rather new to the site and had just finished a picture and was trying to think of something new to do and asked for a request (this was before we knew he was lazy). I asked him for Lady death. A couple weeks went by and Jr showed me the base image and he had done some plans for the image, sketching it out. When he wanted to know who should be giving it to Lady Death. Evil ernie's name came up. A couple more weeks went by and Jr showed me the progress. During this time Jr had gotten fellow trouble maker and 3d guru Matrix Blur to render a skeleton and place it over the body of the male in the base image. Another couple weeks went by and Jr. said he was bored with the image and wasn't going to do anymore. So I asked him to send it over my way. At this point the image had Jr's sketches the skeleton frame work for ernie as well as ernies arms, hands and jacket arms done as well as a number of paths and channels to use for selection. Jr sent the file over to me were I started working on it. I painted the hair and then saved the file. And I haven't worked on it again until this week. I noticed that it was Lady Death week so I thought "Hey I have that 1/5 finished lady death image that Jr and Matrix started, I should finish that one." And so I did. And here it is. It isn't quite as fancy as Jr's original plan but I don't paint no stinkin zippers and it actually got finished After finishing the adult version a couple days a go, I decided to do a non-adult version of the image to post in the regular gallery for everyone to enjoy. |

Just playing around with custom textures and ray traced reflections. Most of this is the original render. Photoshop touchups have been done to all the edges of the costume between the green and black portions as well as the face. All the seams were photoshopped as well as the hair. I wanted the costume to looks rubbery as I was using raytraced reflections. |

Hawk's comments: Me and B took a different approach. Although we have known each other for a long time and B looks up to me as an artist, we had never worked together before. In this image I created all of the base images in Poser using various methods. Then I took them into photoshop and started the costuming until each character was about 50% done. I then sent it over to B who...
B's comments: ...who did all the rest of the costuming, including most of the metal and capes, the costume details, and the textures. I also made the floating screens in the background and put everything together for the final pic. Hawk provided the computer console. And to be serious for a moment (sorry), I have to say I was quite thrilled when I drew Hawk's name for the x-over. He's one hell of a talented artist, and we have a lot of respect for one another and I worship him like a GOD haha . I figured we could hit this one out of the ballpark, and I like to think we did.

I was 16 when I learned that the show I only had vague memories of watching as a two year was real, and 21 when I learned it was called "Battle of the Planets". Voltron, however, I have much more vivid memories of, and I figured I'd just toss the two teams together. No story, no point, just me seeing if I could draw something from my childhood.
And because my brother already brought it up and I know someone else will, no, Keyop and Pidge are not aiming for each other's nuts. It just looks that way, ye olde deviants. |

Belt & Tiara are curved upside down triangle shaped, Brownish dark red leather thigh high boots and leather bustier, Knee length dark navy skirt with 3 slits in the front, elbow length aged dented silver bracelets/armbands, yes? Lol this is my idea of how Wonder Woman should look in the movie. I really hope the design is something similar to this. Please Joss don't freakin let us down. |

I decided to double up on some of these older files since they're rather small, and I still seem to have many of them. So for those that have asked for more I hope this will double your pleasure, double your fun. :)
But if not, we can still take a look at the two I selected. Notice how both use the same headshot for entirely different results. (At least, if I remember correctly they are in fact the same.) Next post I'll do just the opposite, I'll use the same model but with different headshots.
That bat top took most of the work as I recall.
