| I wanted to do this for awhile now. It was fairly easy to do. I used a texture filter on top of a highlight, then added another highlight over that, to keep it looking real. The spider emblem was just cut and paste. Trying to do one from scratch was aggravating to say the least. But I like this emblem better, because it doesnt go all around his torso. I always hated that part of the design. I hope you like it. ENJOY!! |

This is kind of a special manip for me in a couple of ways. Artistically, it has the most detail work I've ever tried to put into a piece. And as a comic fan, because it's a tribute to the first comic I ever read, an issue of Superboy starring the Legion of Super-Heroes.

| Mark Waid and Barry Kitson are launching a new era for the Legion of Super-Heroes and designs and details are slowly trickling out. The new Legion of Super-Heroes book is described as this indie-rock youth movement where teens from 1000 years in the future look back at the Age of Heroes (the present) and try to emulate their spirit and heroism. I thought it was time to start a new Legion series of manips with this indie-rock vibe (hence the bright colors and graphic design). | Spider-Man was hot on the trail of Jack-O-Lanter, knowing he was up to no good. The web-slinger trailed him to an unfamiliar city, and was about to make his move, when out of nowhere Jack's old rival the Hobgoblin joined the party. The air ripples underneath Jack's flying disc as he lobs bomb after bomb at the Hobgoblin. Things look pretty scary for our hero, but the tables are about to turn, as Spidey recieves help from a couple of unlikely sources... |

Here we have another of the GL/Farscape manips I have planned. Ben Browder continues as Hal Jordan with the Claudia Black filling the role of Star Sapphire. The image was inspired by GL vol1 Iss 41. I changed the background to the more dramatic earthscape and changed the perspective to have it fit a 4x3 aspect ratio. (I wanted Optical Intruder to have a properly sized Desktop Background.) 
In hindsight, I would have done 2 things differently. First, I obscured Hal's face too much. This was intentional as I wanted the main focus to be Star Sapphire. But, for all we know Hal could be asleep. Second, I'd like a better Flame filter. Finding good flame pics was getting difficult so I resorted to the Kai's stuff. But, I do like the composition tells the story. |

| This is a hard character to do. Not so much the costume, its fairly simple, but the flames are a pain in the ass! I like the way it turned out. But I did this just to post something a little different than what I usually do. ENJOY!!! |

| this one took the longest of the bunch, mainly because i really couldn't decide on costume changes... the casting was easy, that's Tera Patrick. i franked her head onto the buff base model, and then manipped until my heart was content.. or at least until i was sick of looking at it. part 5 in an ongoing series of customized DC heroines... only one more to go! enjoy! comments appreciated. |

The first in a new series featuring the women of the Legion. Didn't think i'd get this one done till tommorrow, but finished sooner. I forgot to add her beltpouches, had some great ones too. oh well save'em for the next one.
Kid Quantum (Jasmine Cullen) is currently the Legion's leader. She has undefined "stasis" powers like her deceased brother and is from the recently ravaged planet of Xanathu. |

Overall i'm fairly happy with it, though his face seems a little out of focus in comparision to the rest of him and i should have overlapped some of the metal objects in the bg to create a better illusion of depth....... |

first i did thing, then i tought it would be nice to have the torch in there. and then i had this pic of jamie pressly so i put sue in and well i flung reed in there because i may as well finish the set. oh and of course doc doom was put in for the background. not a very well planned pic but i enjoyed doing it.

| ok so for mary marvel i decided to take sort of a black adam approach, partly because i couldn't really decide on a modified costume i liked, and more because, well, black adam doesn't wear a cape and i didn't feel like doing one. so there. so here's Black Eve, or Mary Marvel if she wasn't much of a good guy. i just made a costume switch here, because this base model really captures a bit of brattiness that i've always associated with the young ms. mary for some reason. part four in an ongoing series. enjoy! comments appreciated. |
