I very much like how this scene turned out, where Shawna Diaz, dressed in an outfit slightly reminiscent of Velma, falls down the shattered stairs into the dark, scary cellar...
...and Alan Wong is there to break her fall!

In the current EXPOSURE storyline that I'm drawing -- it's a FREE! serialized comic book over at exposure.keenspot.com -- Lisa and Shawna are on an adventure that's a parody of Scooby-Doo!
Dressed in a sexy style slightly reminiscent of Velma, Shawna has wandered down the stairs of a haunted house -- only to discover the house is alive and shattering the stairwell, plunging her down into almost-certain doom.

As our point-of-view of dweller in the cellar, I hope you like the view!

| There are worlds where the use of certain types of technology is restricted. Such planets are closely monitored and if one expects to keep their licenses intact one simply obeys those restrictions and makes do with what is appropriate. Such is the case with Obsidian's Zero-cycle. A fine piece of machinery it is too, built for speed and well armed and armored it one beast of a bike and....it's great fun to drive. The cycle utilizes the latest in internal gyros and is quite capable of remote driving, when combined with it's on board AI it is capable of running independent of the rider ( it is important to note that the AI is not a fully sentient machine but simply and advanced set of programs). |

I give you Prince Analaeus Sathari guilty of high treason against the dreaded Sathari Empire. His ability to discern good and evil drove him to attack his cruel sister and even more cruel father. The second battle leaving him grievously injured and horribly disfigured.Now many years later he leads a rebellion as heir apparent his army is loyal to the death but he does not have the power to defeat his father...until the his friend Obsidian Mask arrives needing his help.

The Psi-Mage, much speculation and rumor surround these reclusive spellcasters. What is known is that they are the only creatures who can utilize magic and psionics simultaneously. Their deadly Psi-Blades are the ONLY weapon they use (barring vehicle mounted weapons) and more experienced Psi-Mages can perform outrageous feats with their mighty swords. A Psi-Mage's blade cannot be wielded by another being without special training meaning their weapons are rarely used against them. Many believe Psi-Mages to be immortal but this is not so they are however, incredibly difficult to kill. Psi-Mages are employed primarily by 2 major factions the Intergalactic Federation of Worlds and the Sathari Empire. Within the federation Psi-Mages serve aboard nearly every type of deep space vessel. Within the Sathari Empire they are rarely seen serving as the personal hand of the Emperor and are used for covert missions and as personal guards. Within the Federation they serve in a similar capacity and are also used as human lie detectors and for information gathering. Unaffiliated Psi-Mages can and do exist some often forming large cults whose ideals are as varied as the stars in the cosmos. Lone Psi-Mages are almost never hard pressed for mercenary work being in high demand. it is important to note that most folks familiar with Psi-Mages take them seriously and have a fear of them to one degree or another, this fearsome reputation is not undeserved as Psi-Mages are formidable hand to hand combatants and their Psi-Blades are known to cut through nearly anything, this combined with a general reckless use of destruction spells have made most societies wary of them. Psi Mages cannot cast general spells like a standard mage only having access to Power Magic, Divination, and Protection Magic. Their Psionic abilities include Telepathy, Telekinesis, Reading, and Various destructive powers.
For those interested...Yes this is a ripoff of Jedi and sith there is however, no Dark Side, no Light Side, no Sith and no Jedi. |

| 18"x22" aluminum panel. the first one I did had an unfortunate clearcoat mishap where it would have been near impossible to fix it. So.. I just sanded the panel down to the metal and started a new one. |

It went pretty smoothly until I started painting the face.. what a pain in the arse that was. Original line art was a Adam Hughes con sketch. |

"Okay Ray, look like it’s you and me this time.”
“Finally, some action.”
We EMT to the coordinates and in an instant we’re surrounded...it's an ambush. Four guys in power armor with really nasty looking blades. They’re techno-ninjas Sporting Tiger badges from the very well know Osaka clan. Their blue skin and solid black eyes give them away as Oni. These guys are gonna kick our ass if we’re not careful.
"We have been ordered to deliver a message. Stop your investigation at once."
“Let’s say we do that, then what?”
“You will be allowed to live.”
This cocky bastard is certain he can beat us, and he’s probably right.
“Can we get back to you?”
“No. Your presence in this matter is….”
His words trail off as I start scanning; I put my helmet in silent mode so only Ray can hear me. We've both come to the same conclusion. These dudes can do some damage to us if they go hand to hand....and they're gonna. We both take out our Blades and fire em up. They stop talking, and give us their undivided attention. They're hesitant, they think we might be Psi-Mages or worse yet Psi-Hunters. Now they're not so sure they want this fight, but that's the way we want it. They're off their square and we pounce! Ray deflects the first guy’s sword and runs him through with his own blade. I catch the blade poking out of his back in my peripherals. Ooh that's gotta hurt. One of them kicks me square if the chin, my fault for not paying attention, I'm lucky it didn’t get me killed. The armor does its job and I don't really feel it. I grab his leg and repay the asshole with a kinetically charged gauntlet to the nuts. He goes down like ton of bricks. Ray starts dancing with the third guy, and number four is smart enough to wait and size me up instead of rushing in. When this began they thought we were just dumb thugs with armor, now they know better.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been hard at work finishing the last (?) EXPOSURE story over at exposure.keenspot.com AND working diligently on the Red Giant upcoming series PANDORA'S BLOGS that will be in comics shops this November. (You probably saw the Preview story that appeared in GIANT-SIZE FANTASY #0 on Free Comic Book Day).
This is a sketch of my character Banzai Girl with her cohort-in-adventure Katie J -- racing off for adventure! Or is it to meet boys? :)
