| Nelvana of the Northern Lights CDA Other Comics 2007/6/17 7:55 6953 9
The superheroine Nelvana of the Northern Lights became Canada?s first national superhero, predating Wonder Woman by several months.
She drew her powers from the Northern Lights. She could fly, travel at the speed of light along a giant ray of the aurora borealis, and call upon other powers of the Northern Lights making her capable of melting metal and disrupting radio communications. Nelvana also had the ability to turn invisible as well as alter her physical form.
In 1995 Canada Post issued a popular set of commemorative superhero stamps featuring the reproduction of the first issue of Nelvana.
This is my interpretation of the character.

| THE THING KER1 Marvel Comics 2007/6/15 10:12 2188 7
Whenever I do an illustration of the Thing it's always a great experience, since he has so much texture and personality . . . I've done versions of him in Photoshop and with markers, and recently I'd gotten into colored pencils . . . so this time I decided to merge two of my worlds and did this version of him in my graffiti style with colored pencils and 1 marker to outline him . . . the colored pencils and Canson paper were perfect for his rocky hide . . . I had a blast!
This one is for the FF2 contest! |

| SILVER SURFER: Lone Wanderer KER1 Marvel Comics 2007/6/14 10:35 2533 8
I wanted to do something a bit different with the Surfer that kinda showed how alone he is, although he's able to soar to any place in the galaxy and has these great powers, he still seems very alone and still lives with the burden of having been the herald of Galactus and the memory of those worlds dying by his hand . . . . with his look I wanted to try something a little different than what's been done in the comics with the usual Light blue and black line and instead opted for his body reflections to kinda reflect the stars and space also I wanted to give him a more "alien" appearance by elongating his neck a bit. I just wanted him to look like he was floating effortlessly in space just thinkin' about s#!t.
This one's for the FF2 contest!
Medium: Photoshop CS2 |

"Didja hear there's a natural order? Those most deserving end up with the most. The cream cannot help but rise up to the top. But I say, $#!^ floats.
If you thought things had changed, Friend, youd better look again. Simply put, in the fewest of words, C**ts are still running the world. C**ts are still running the world..."
- Jarvis Cocker, Running the World
Prince Fryderyk Andorov
The son of King Aleksander and Crown Prince of the Trove, Prince Fryderyk believes in the supremacy of the Trove over all other nations on the continent, and perhaps even over all other nations, period. He envisions a complete refutation of the idea of non-monarchial states that has become popular in Elis, and sees this movement as something that endagers his family's status.
Though not yet in power, he has turned his beliefs into an ideology around which he intends to unite the entirety of the Trove. Whereas his dad has ruled with some semblance of tact, avoiding war when possible, Fryderyk welcomes the opportunity to get his hands dirty. He is ruthless, cunning, and, worst of all, completely self-assured.
The worst part is that his power is growing. He is attracting followers, and one of them may include the Lord-General's own daughter, Paryan... |

| Reflections Part 2 Masterchief Fantasy 2007/6/13 7:02 3031 6
Our lovely heroine, having stared at her reflection for to long in the floor is overcome by the spirt that had been trapped there years before. Our poor damsel is now trapped until some other unsuspecting traveller comes along and gazes into the reflective surface and frees her. I hadn't planned on doing a part 2 to this but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to do a second part to it. I guess I should add something else here, it was told to me that this was not dark enough to be a looking into the abyss piece. The abyss is more of a metaphor for taking a look within yourself and finding that one spot where darkness hides. If you look to long at it, it will become a part of you forever. If you look at the first pic, her body lanuage suggest uncertainy and doubt, shown by the hand touching the collar around her neck, and looking at her reflection in the floor. In this picture she has been transformed and has become a more sexual and aggresive, hence the pose and looking at the camera. The face makeup, to me, is a sign of the inner darkness manifesting itself on the outside. I know this coould be considered pretty dark for the series of pictures but this is what I am trying to show. |

Mmmmm...mmmmm...Mary Mmmm...mmmmm...Marvel! She sure does look mature for her age. Billy Batson's baby sister sure has come a long way.
Third pic in the series and already I'm running into problems! Both Fire and Ice have distinctive hair color, and it makes them recognizable. Mary, however, has brown hair and, outta "uniform", isn't quite as distinctive. It's only gonna get worse when I get to the masked heroines. |

| Wonder Woman joshmc DC Comics 2007/6/11 17:41 7418 25
After coming across this site a while ago, I decided to challenge myself to a photo manipulation challenge of Wonder Woman. I went for a more realistic approach to the outfit, a suit she would wear in battle and one that shows off her Greek heritage, I was thinking more of what they could make if and when they make the movie.
UPDATE - JUNE 2007: After my last 2 pieces had come up so well I had to revisit this and change it dramatically. Almost a complete reworking top to bottom. I remember Joss Whendon jokingly wanting Cobie Smulders in the role when he was doing the film, so I figured I change the model to her I did quite a bit of research in Greek armor to get this looking right. I tried to strike a balance between the traditional Wonder Woman costume and ancient Greek armor. The result is a lot better then the original to which I am much happier. |

| Pynke and Darke, Mecha Pilots Chup@Cabra Original Characters 2007/6/11 15:27 2733 5
Well, taking a (small) break from the ultra sexual images I render to focus on another topic near and dear to me: Giant Fighting Robots! ^_^
This image is kind of my tribute to the anime series 'Godannar' (http://www.advfilms.com/titles/godannar/ ), that is actually full of everything a geek like me wants. Giant Fighting Robots (of course), equally giant, tentacular beasts (but no tentacle rape scenes ;) ), excellent combat scenes, and tons of 'fanservice' (gratuitous Tits and Ass shots for those not familiar with anime) ^_^. Hell, even some of the mecha give you fanservice!
In this pic I see Agent Pynke as the always upbeat, ever-so-chipper kind of person who never lets anything get her down (thus her choice of primary colors for her combat vehicle).
Agent Darke, on the other hand, takes everything seriously (TOO seriously according to Pynke), and doesn't think that defending the planet from marauding space beasts is a matter to be taken lightly (thus her look of slight disgust towards Agent Pynke).
I like the 'mecha' model, called Robat Cyber. Unfortunately, it has no morphs to give it the breast size I prefer in most of my other renders :). The same applies to the outfit for Agent Pynke, but fortunately I was able to give Darke some Big Uns.
A full frame view, showing the mechs, can be found here: http://chupsposercommissionblog.blogspot.com/2007/06/pynke-and-darke-full-frame.html
Of course, once I get out of this 'non-sexual' phase, you may see Pynke and Darke in more explicit scenes ^_^

| Can't Believe it's not the JL! petercotton DC Comics 2007/6/11 9:34 5522 16
'The JLA, after the recent messes that were the Identity and Infinite Crisis's, decide they need more photogenic members, and a media boost. With the help of an enthusiastic Wayne Enterprises, a reality TV show Called 'I Can't Believe it's Not the Justice League' was born! The show follows twelve superhero contestants, four unfortunately male, as they compete with each other for the grand prize, a slot on the justice league! The first contest is between Veteran Heroes Starfire and Powergirl! The Contest?
Who's Hotter?! You decide!'
I might take this idea a little bit further depending on the response. Any contest idea's or character recommendations are welcome!
This is a big thank to all those wishing me a happy twenty first birthday! I?ll be sober for a bit longer, so comment!
Once I ain't sober....well. feel free to still comment!
And a little hint of advice to someone out there: Quality, NOT Quantity my friend.
PS: perhaps a bit rushed?any mistake?s in the art let me know, and I?ll fix it and update it later.
