| Well I did this piece today (3/29/07) for a friend's birthday that's comin' up in April . . . he's into the whole Gatchaman thing and growin' up in the 70's I used to love watchin' G-Force as well, so I thought it'd be fun to do . . . . so I got a couple (Pantone?) markers together and a 6"x6" piece of Bristol paper and got busy!!! Hope he likes it, as I've said before...I always have a great time just cuttin' loose with the markers and paper instead of the computer . . . . check out more of my stuff at . . www.wiseapple.biz |

| I was over at a friends house last night having a drawing session and started to think about the books I used to read...... next thing that happened, I was drawing the Maxx. Inked it this morning, colored in Photoshop, created his little perch in Photoshop too. The background is something I airbrushed up while practicing making clouds. |

| Ya know, I'd pretty much given up on the idea of thinkin' of anything for Pirate Month Challenge but I guess you never know when inspiration will strike so I very much rushed this one out in two days (it's rare for me to spend less than two weeks on a piece these days) before the month ended. I've been trying to play with new techniques lately and here's one for ya: 3D shading of 2D drawings. I googled up a few drawings of Popeye characters, did some modest manips and gave them flat colors. I then used those pictures as textures placed on 3D models. Well, I wouldn't say it's good or anything but it is different. |
