Today was my uncle Mike's birthday and he has always liked Spider-man so I drew this in his card. I thought it turned out pretty funny and cool so I wanted to post it. Remember, his name is Mike. Thats a key part of the joke. |

These are my five personal favorite X-Men. There's actually more manip to this than 3D, but the base image was posed in Poser and textured and rendered in Lightwave. An exceedingly difficult piece for several reasons. For one thing, I discovered my computer's limits, as I could not even LOAD all the figures at once in Lightwave. I had to render the left half with Kitty, Colossus, and Cyclops first. Then, using the same camera angle and lighting, I rendered a second image with the right half of the image containing Wolverine and Phoenix. Psylocke was in there too, next to Jean, but since the pixel count for v4 is higher than the v3 and m3 figures, I couldn't load her in with them.
After the right half was rendered, I had to combine the two images in Photoshop "Parent Trap" style. After that, it was simply a matter of choosing which costumes to use and painting them on.
This image took me four days to complete, so I hope you guys like it. |

Van'sa Wyldfyre, also known as Vanessa Wilder, is another of my characters, who will be showing up in some comics in the future. Here, she is with her familiar, a young beholder named Ningauble, after the infamous Ningauble of the Seven Eyes in the tales of Fafred and the Grey Mouser. This Ningauble, however, has no actual connection, other than an homage to the name. |

Here's something that came to me one night as I was thinking about what would happen if all the alter-ego's of Dick Grayson came together to solve the mystery of who's buried in the Batman's Tomb. Thanks to hasdrubal for all the great costume textures. Background is the Corroded City peice from Daz. I know tyhis one's a little dark but seeing as how they happen to be in a sewer system I thought the mood lighting was fitting. Don't ask me why the youngest version is flexing in the background, I just thought he looked cool doing that. lol. |

| Heromorph Back Issues V co_04 DC Comics 2008/7/7 20:29 4039 7
Taken directly from MissVee's terrific original interpretation of a scene from the 60's Batman series, with special guest crook Louie the Lilac. I had begun a version of this before, but changed course and wanted something a bit more urgent than posed, as if Bats was in some real danger of having the heat turned up by henchwoman Lily. ( Vee's original: http://heromorph.com/heromorph2/modules/myalbum2/photo.php?lid=7121 )
Besides, there's something a bit cathartic in the implication that Milton Berle just got wasted. |

UPDATE: Cleaned up mistakes that didn't look like mistakes at 2:00 AM. Changed her eye color to blue, trimmed excess background from head and added THE FISHNETS.
The second or third Black Canary depending how you look at DC's ever morphing continuity. I was tempted to do the JLI uniformyou old timers remember this..... However I could not put this beauty into that fashion nightmare. Looks like she is about to do aerobics, not fight crime. Any way, I guess I should do one in that uni and maybe a Golden Age Canary to finish this unintentional series.

After the defeat of Factor Three in 1964, Jean was given the opportunity to design new, more colorful costumes for the X-Men. This was what she designed for herself, although it begs the question, what the hell was she smoking? I was never a fan of this costume, but I had to include it as part of the chronology.
Next up: The X-Factor Years
UPDATE: fixed the belt buckle and added texture to the costume. |

| Superman cover VagabondX DC Comics 2008/7/6 19:07 2653 4
This is a cover I was working on for two local writers who wanted to submit a story idea to DC. The primary guy I corresponded with said he liked it and he would show it to his partner but that was a couple weeks ago so I'm assuming his partner didn't have any problems with it. I emailed them to ask if it was ok to post it here but I haven't gotten a response in about a week and a half so I'm just going to post it. I don't think anyone can steal their idea from this pic. I doubt there is enough info on the story in this image. They had planned on getting the story to DC in a couple weeks so I'm guessing its already been done. I think this turned out ok. I don't believe DC will be impressed with it in the least but I'm not totally displeased with it. I just got the logo and upc from another Superman cover. |

| CALLISTO Hisstoryman Marvel Comics 2008/7/6 17:31 3280 3
Callisto was born a mutant with highly evolved senses and extreme beauty. The last was stripped from her when she was attacked and scarred becaused of her mutant powers.
She fled underground, literally, to the bowels of New York City where she helped create a safe haven for other mutants deep under the city. Callisto is an expert hunter, tracker, and knife expert.
This scene takes place in the abandoned City Hall Station in New York City. Armed with her favorite weapon, Callisto also wears a souvenir of when she kidnapped the X-Man Angel. In the lower left, fellow Morlock, Caliban pokes his head into the picture.
Notes: I cheated a bit on this one. The leather vest/bodice were, obviously, already on the model. The pants were drawn by me as were the arm and neck bands. The knife came from a sword web site and Caliban's head, I think, is the fighter/wrestler Butterbean.

| Captain Marvel VagabondX Marvel Comics 2008/7/5 22:02 2615 4
I don't submit finished stuff as much as I used to and I regret that. Sometimes I just want to do a finished, colored picture but I don't have anything in the works so I just do one. This is one of those times. I've always liked this character. At least the look since I don't know alot about her actual character. I know she is called Proton or neutron or whatever now since there is another Captain Marvel but I liked her as Captain Marvel. I thought it was going well when I was working on it but I'm not happy with the end product. Plus I really don't like doing plain old standing shots but I also have a neurotic inability to do action poses that I can't think of a logical reason the character would be assuming so I had to fall back on the standing shot. I don't think severe head injuries as a young child are good for artists. |
