...So Socrates and I decided the way to go with the look was more CGI -- and more real in the faces (modelling Lisa a bit on Yvonne Strahovski and Shawna slightly on Jessica Alba.)
We worked on the expressions the muscle tone, and a whole lot of other things. On about our fifth revision, this is what we finally had.
I'm real happy with it! How about you?

So here's my line art with color added. Instead of working with my6 usual colorist Katrina Mae Hao, this time I worked with painter Socrates.
This was his first try at it. Very nice, but still perhaps too close to what we're doing on the comic book.

I thought it would be cool to share with you the process of creating a faux movie poster for EXPOSURE, the series I'm currently drawing.
I wanted something actiony -- yet sexy -- a hint of danger, etc., with both Lisa and Shawna.
Here's the line art drawing I came up with. I hope you like it. (This is NOT inked. It's drawn in dark, clean pencils and cleaned up in Photoshop.)

| Skull Island, Pacific Ocean - When greed overcomes common sense the battle is already lost. Both combatants know they should not be here, but the thought of such a large prize gets the better of them. The last thing Golden Arrow should be doing is competing on a televised event while in hiding from the Birdwoman and Vengeance knows he has no business exposing himself to C.L.A.W. especially after stealing the Kumitae [Karate Robot]from them. Evenso they now find themselves on Vengeance's own Skull Island waging war in his personal room of mirrors. Does the distortion factor of the room give Vengeance an advantage? Perhaps, if he had taken in account Golden Arrow's unique alien eyesight. |

| I think we started out with B suggesting this one. I did some digging, found some references. And bitched at B that Captain America's suit was never ripped as a wolf and they always darkened up his face. He made some comment that I thought meant change that fact, so I did. Also, it seemed to be the one most mentioned in the comments, so here ya go. |

A story about how Catwoman dressed for Bruce Wayne's Halloween Party (move to Adult if it doesn't belong here).
"It was time for Bruce's Party and I had just the thing: a black sheer 15 denier nylon-spandex bodystocking - perfectly fitted with a shelf bra and cotton reinforced crotch. I pulled on the legs and smoothed out the wrinkles around my crotch, making sure to keep the seems straight and checking for a panty line. "
"Then I zipped up my back making sure I didn't catch the delicate fabric in my bra. I decided not to put the stirrups over my feet because I didn't really care if the tights rode up but I didn't want them to sag. I slipped on my purple high-heeled boots. I looked in the mirror and I looked great! All tight and shiny! Bruce is going to love this! (not to mention Batman!)"
"I should have worn nude underwear because the bodystocking was too sheer! It wasn't bad but I was a little embarrased under the blacklight at the party...
"Bye, bye kitty!" |

| Castle Necrom {graveyard}, Transylvania - Perhaps the first real mismatch of the Assassin Wars so far. The psychotic Buzzsaw thought he had pulled an easy play. Although he had never heard of Bloodbath, he had to laugh when he was told he was pitted against a real vampire. He was so sure of his success that even though he had choice of venue by having the most kills..he defered to his opponent. 20 hours later the airplane dropped him off in a remote graveyard deep in the heart of Romania..and Buzzsaw began to question his choice. He may really regret it once he finds out that Bloodbath's natural powers double in his homeland. |

| Dr. Insecto completes my team known as the Evil Society of Villains (ESV), as he is the big boss behind them all. Design wise, while he is a man mutated into an insect-like monster, since I made his former self an Japanese man, I decided to make him look somewhat like a demon of Japanese folklore even though the evil entity that changed him wasn't from his home country or even Earth. I was also inspired a bit by Galactus, in that Insecto is also a destroyer of worlds who feeds off of the destruction he causes, but Insecto is not a giant and is not a force of nature like Galactus is in that he's a bit more grounded in spite of still being an intergalactic foe that is feared by many. |

| CLAW Base #16, Sewer Systems - Ever the masters of manipulation, the CLAW High Council has orchestrated perhaps the most intriguing match-up of the Assassin Wars so far. Not only are Cutter & Edge evenly matched, but they are also siblings. When they saw that they were to be pitted against each other rather than fight they chose to withdraw during the night. They didn't take into account the Council's determined desire to create marquee contests and unwillingness to release them from the entrant certificate they signed. Their plan to slip out through the sewer system was a stroke of genius..at least it was until the council dispatched 2 Militron units to retrieve them. The question now is blood thicker than bloody water. |

In a post apocalyspe world the Predators still find time to hunt their most challenging quarry...man.
This is something I've been working off and on for the past month or so. Had been wanting to use the newer Predator figure for M4 since i got it but up until now had basically just used bits and peices of it for my own characters. This is probally the most postwork i've put into a non-superhero image ever. Rendered a lighter version also but this hunt occurs at sunrise and this captured it best. I've got another similar scene saved like this using V4 that i may or not finish and post later. Thanx for looking. |

"When the black costumed vigilante Thoth began waging a campaign to wipe out crime in his neighborhood of Hughes' Point, white real-estate developer Randall Bates moved to try and stop him, fearing that if Thoth's campaign were successful, his own efforts to buy up and gentrify the neighborhood would fail. As the makeup-slathered gangster named Blackface, he plunged Hughes' Point back into chaos and left Thoth (and his alter ego, Sam Ibis) crippled.
"Bates is dead now, but Blackface lives on in the person of his spoiled, vicious daughter Tara, who uses both her business skills and outright violence to rule Hughes' Point with an iron fist.
"But her reign may be coming to an end. Ibis' prot?g?e, the Red Owl, is coming to Hughes' Point to end the makeup-wearing menace once and for all..."
Another rogue for my original superheroine, and some new experimenting with style. I'm planning to render a fight scene between Blackface and Red Owl with a minimal palette of just black, white, and red (although whether or not this will actually work in D|S has yet to be seen...) |
