Ok, So I am posting it early, I just can't wait anymore. Here it is my entry for the July challenge. I used all of the required base pictures. All 10 of them and nothing else. I did not use any of the bonus pictures. See http://members.shaw.ca/winterhawk3/july-map.jpg for a map of where the base pictures were put in. |

This is a poser redo of a Steve Ditko Spider-man picture that was in The Sinister Six annual. Sandman is Tom Sizemore. After smudging his face and eyes around to make him look angry he ended up looking like Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. I added the highlights to the hair to help the darker image show up against the black background. I scanned the Ditko picture and tried to reproduce the pose of Spider-man in poser. I got it almost perfect. I used the comic image of the Sandman and traced the outline of the pose on a transparent layer. I tried to do him in poser but it looked too much like a video game. I ended up doing him entirely with an airbrush and pen and the old dodge and burn. The logo at the top took hours. I did my own Spider-man costume and webbing. I'm getting so good at it I can do a full Spider-man in costume in about an hour and a half. I used a nude pose and I copied and pasted it on top of itself. I hued the one on the bottom red and the one on the top blue. I just cut the red parts of the costume out of the blue layer to reveal the red beneath. I did the webbing on a transparent layer with a 2 point pen tool. When I'm done I gausian blur the webbing layer .4 pixels. That is with a 600 pixel wide picture at 300 pixels per inch. I've seen the downloadable costumed poser figures but I like to do it myself. The sand was done with a tan airbrush and then I used the film grain filter set at varying degrees for effect.

The Scorpion is a Ditko pose in poser, Goblin is a manipped Bowen Designs statue and the Lizard is part Frankensteined things and a velociraptor head from Jurassic Park. The base pic of the street and buildings was really pixelated because it was taken from a screen capture of a TV show. I put 4 cars on the street and removed some that were there. I added 50 fleeing people on the street, a pedestrian crossing sign and a couple of traffic lights, six pigeons and I added room interiors on 3 of the windows on the building on the right. That's me in the window pointing at Spider-man. I didn't spend too much time on each of the smaller characters because I was going to blur them and the details wouldn't be visible at the size they would be displayed. I wanted the only images with details to be Spider-man and the Vulture |

I tried using actors and costuming them as the Jetsons but it looked terrible. I ended up using a picture I found on the internet of Jetsons statues for most of their bodies. I couldn't just put heads on the statues because they were, like the cartoon, in rediculous proportions. George has no shoulders and short legs. Jane and Judy have a waist smaller than Barbie and tiny necks and they all had over-sized heads. I decided to split the difference and make them as caricatures. I widened their waists and adjusted their proportions but not enough to make them realistic and not too far from the cartoon. Cogswells Cogs is the Cloud City of Bespin from the Empire Strikes Back. That's Elizabeth Shue as Jane, Tom Hanks as George, Tara Reid as Judy, Jake Lloyd as Elroy, Scooby-Doo as Astro and, of course, Danny Devito as Spacely. I'm not sure if I achieved what I visualized but I'm glad I did it anyway. |

Anyway. Being that she uses any and every hero powers that we can come up with, here is my take on Lady HeroMorph. It was hard to find what I needed so I had to do some cut and paste to get her into this pose.
"Making of: Dennis Newman's head mixed with another two different bodybuilder's images. Earth found on Google and very manipulated. Lightning effects, nebulae and stars made by hand.
Description: A classic scene of Crisis on Infinite Earths (an enormous cliche). The two web sites, through a cosmic anomaly, touch themselves creating great catastrophe."

This took me forever to finish because I kept playing around with lighting and with the background/frame for the series. Here's Zhang Zi-Yi as Psylocke. I figure with the X-Men down a telepath/telekinetic after X2, they're gonna need some new brainpower for the team. Enter Elizabeth Lee Braddock, the Brit born, psy-blade wielding newest member of the X-Men. Throw in some new romantic tension between Bets, Scott, and Logan and you've got yourself a sequel! |

For awhile I wanted to work with a base pic of a mexican woman, so I found Barbara Mori, she's a mexican actress ( soap operas), her acting is good (too bad mexican soap opreas's sucks) she's beatiful and have a great body.
Comments on the pic:
She wasn't nude (too bad) so I have to erase her ripped top and the lower area of the bikini. Then i have to reconstruct her chest (it took a lot of time, and I guess I did her boobs a little bigger, they look nice!), the mask was a little difficult beacause her face has a lot of shadow areas (guessing where the face beggin and ends), this time I try somenthing new, I added a little texture on the costume to help the leather effect (thanks batmic).
BTW: Espero que te guste esto Barbara (like she's going to see this) |

| HM - C2F Crossover: Quicksilver By Shaylinn & Flash By Aharmona![Popular Popular](http://heromorph.com/heromorph2/modules/myalbum4/images/pop.gif)
Aharmona DC Comics 2004/8/10 20:28
6239 4
Well Shaylinn worked diligently on her Quicksilver and patiently waited for my Flash to finally arrive. This was an idea I was very nervous about; with Flash being my favorite character, I wanted my first manip to be perfect. I think the crossover went very well and I had a fantastic partner in Shaylinn. I think our desire to use the same model allowed us to see our manipping styles and really push each other to better ourselves.
Shaylinn's original comments:
We decided if we were going to do a cross we would cross everything ;) So since aharmona is more of DC fan and I'm a Marvelite we decided to do a Flash/Quicksilver crossover and while we were at it did a crossgender as well. So for the manip itself.... aharmona provided the base image so I am unsure of the model. Started with a nude image and reworked and recolored both the costume pieces and the hair to match QS. The costume was done with three separate layers of recoloring and then cutting out the correct shapes. Then a couple of layer effects over and I was lucky enough to get the shine you see. Then since aharmona was going to have Flash on the Cosmic treadmill I thought I would have QS working on an "alien machine" to account for the pose. So I found a cool image on the net that I frankensteined into the device you see. The globe on the top was originally silver but a layer effect gave me the glowing orb look I wanted. Once that was set I had to slightly alter the position of QS's back arm and the back leg so they would rest on the machine. I also altered the angle and reworked both feet since in the original pic she was on her tip toes. And I shortened her hair a bit to something I felt was more appropriate for a speedster. The background is two images I found on the net worked together with lightning added to the Flash side and that side recolored to match Flash's dominant color. I was trying for a spacial rift sort of feel trying to make it seem as if they were working from their own universes to save both. |

This one took me longer than any other manip I have ever done. I ran across an old image of H vs. S, and I was inspired. So I began looking for the right poses, and of course the right setting. Althought thecrowd looks fairly calm in the background, imagine for a second that this fight just broke loose, and it has not dawned on everyone yet. Much like when someone is mugged in broad daylight. Hulk throws a vicious left at Spidey, just as he swings from above, knocking him backwards, as the behemoth charges at the camera. Can Spiderman save New York from the Incredible Hulk?? We wil just have to wait and see. ENJOY!!! |

B's comments:
I started out suggesting doing Batman and Robin for this collaboration (following the vague "teamup" theme suggested by Max and Mike), but I think neither of us wanted to manip a guy... so we ended up doing the same character twice. Sort of. Here's Daniela Petrova as Stephanie Brown (aka Spoiler) and as Stephanie Brown (aka Robin).
I did Spoiler. The costuming was done the usual way, the metal I did using Dan Perceful's new tutorial at C2F, the cape and hood were done from scratch. This is just my second attempt at a cape... I think it's a bit better than the first was. The hood I based on that in a Rembrandt painting of a monk.
This was fun! DK's great to work with, and a damn good artist to boot. I think our ideas for the pic meshed together quite well. Here's to the next crossover!
Dark Knight's comments:
The most difficult part was to smudge the skin of the girl without loosing the details, because we choose a pic with a low quality, other than that It was fun creating the costume, I'm very pleased with the mask, and the background (that lighting effect looks pretty cool!!). And it was great working with B. |

Where is Lady Heromorph? Unfortunately Tazman did not make her in time. Well... my part is done.

Description: A classic scene of Crisis on Infinite Earths (an enormous cliche). The two web sites, through a cosmic anomaly, touch themselves creating great catastrophe. Lady Heromorph and a second Earth would have to be located in the right side of this image.

I had a great time with this crossover! Dan and I fell into the look and feel we wanted immediately. First we toyed with a vs. feel, it quickly gave way to the same look and feel, with the mood directed at the viewer and the hero's standing together as a team. I guess that pretty much sums up how the whole project went together. It was a truly collaborative effort, one I would mind doing again.

C2F/Heromorph Crossover event Entry: Working with Mike was really quite fun. I quite enjoyed the process. First we threw ideas back and forth until we came up with a similiar plan as this one. Originally we were planning on having Nightwing and Robin in the picture pearched on the edge of a building about to pounce on Ivy and Harley. then we searched for base pictures. After deciding on the Base pictures to be used we started to manip the characters. I did Ivy & Nightwing and Mike did Harley & Robin. When We finished the figures we talked back and forth about the final picture and decided to have Ivy and Harley escaping from Arkham. When Mike was putting the elements of the picture together he realized that Nightwing and Robin did not really fit into the picture anymore, so they were scrapped. Mike made all of the background elements then sent me the PSD I did some minor repositioning on the elements and a bit of trimming here and there and Voila. I sent it back to Mike, and We agreed that We were done. As for Ivy, I made her with standard Maniping techniques, nothing to special. |

One of the most complete examples that a good story added to a crew of excellent professionals can conceive one memorable and educational cartoon (for all ages).
I will not reveal the names of these characters. But I will give two tips: 20 years of aging and two people and one animal are missing here.
