| Shadow of the Bat

Bruce is standing in his study in front of a portrait of his parents, contemplating or whatnot, while the shadow of his true self looms behind him. My original idea was to have Bruce in some sort of everyday situation, say a WayneCorp board meeting, with the shadow behind him but I like this more because it incorporates his dearly departed mom and dad.
I tried to go for a sad, but not too sad, expression on Bruce's face. He is the Batman after all, not some whiny emo kid. :) Hopefully I pulled that one off.
For the painting, I rendered an old couple and then postworked the render to look like a painting (in CS3) and put it in the frame.
I used a bunch of stuff for this render, mostly DAZ products and of course P3DA's awesome superhero cowl (converted to work with David). The figure is the same as the one in my previous Batman Pic (he's actually wearing his costume in this picture but it's invisible :)).
The render was done in Poser 7 with very little postwork. I rendered the background, shadow map, and foreground figure separately and then composited them in CS3. The shadow is actually off because originally one of the ears was in a dark area of the painting and couldn't be scene. I was going to re-render it all but I made this pic for an Animotions challenge and didn't have to time so I just moved things over and tried to fix it with photoshop.
Again, comments, criticisms and suggestion are always greatly appreciated.
Oh, and another thing... the ledge on which the painting is sitting is all messed up. I'm not sure what happened but I think it could have been because I had smooth polygons on when I rendered, any other ideas? I'd like to prevent something like that from happening in the future. |

My atempt at the girl of the week. I choose Aquagirl II (hope this is the rigth one) because Aquagirl I is like a gender bender of Aquaman, blond girl and even the costume is the same.
Did everything in Photoshop, except for minor ajustments in the background that I'm not able to do in Photoshop yet...
Anyway, I think I'm getting how to work with now...
You'll be the judges of it.  |

Just another night for the Dark Night.
This is the first in a series of Batman Renders I plan on doing.
Basic figure is DAZ's David. Cowl is from P3DA's superhero pack, adjusted to fit David. Cape is ODS's awesome dynamic cape. Batman texture by me. Rooftop part of Urban Living by Stonemason and the sky background was done by me in Vue.

this was one of the pieces for the Supergirl Smackdown comic, thought it was one of those "Happy Accidents" so I put it in 3d by itself.
After I did it, the expression she has to me is that she didn't make it in time and bad stuff happened as a result.
Comments welcome. I know it's not a really good render, there are one or two little things I could fix, but it's more about the mood of the image than technical perfection. |

Brianna Diggers from Fred Perry's GOLD DIGGER comic.
Brianna was 'created' by the removal of a curse from her 2 sisters, Gina and Britanny. In one of Gina and Britanny's earlier adventures, they were struck with a curse while exiting an ancient treasure vault. Gina attempted to "trick" the curse into leaving herself and Britanny by creating a soup of genetic material identical to their own. The curse, however, unexpectedly animated the biological material, creating a genetic cross between Gina and Britanny. Brianna has her sisters memories and experiences up to the moment she was born. She has both Gina's love of technology and Brit's love of aggressive physical activity and recreation. The resulting fusion is the love of aggressive physical technology, like high-tech weapons and armor.

| I have been liking the posting of all the Supergirl images lately. Especially since I like superman and supergirl and they are two of my favorites. So I thought I would add to the mix of things. I have gotten busy lately with some outside work. But I have had this picture sitting there for like 3 months or so now, just needed a background for it. Its kind of a mix of uniforms from the comics and the movies. But kind of my own design I guess. The model is Sandy, the background was a misc. search I found, and I like the way it flowed into the picture. Besides the Model and the background the rest is mine. Should get a tablet soon, may help with the doing of things instead of by hand. Well still have some other things to attend to but please take a look, let me know what you think, love commetns.
